My fiancé picked up dinner for us the other night and it was AMAZING! We both got the chicken tills masala. I got mine medium spicy and he got extra spicy. We both got garlic naan bread, it's was great! They were really friendly. We definitely will be back!

Fantastic for the convenience and price! Good deal with large serving of rice and perfectly cooked chicken in a flavorful curry. The naan was pretty good, maybe a little too fluffy so it absorbed all of the oils, leaving less of the flavor available. The first impression when you walk in is very decorative and fun, but they still have some supplies they are storing in the hallway towards the restroom. They also serve all of the curry dishes in to-go containers on a normal plate. Convenient because you'll like take some home but not fancy. Very kind servers who ask for feedback on the dishes. Would 100% come back. Might be a new staple because of the cheaper prices that maintain quality food compared to others.

All four of our plates were fresh and made to order. The lamb in my curry was so tender and delicious, and the spice level was just right. The chicken curry was equally good. Butter chicken and chicken tikka were not overly spicy; so a good option for kids. Gentleman owner was very kind and helpful when ordering.

Great little find this place just opened about a month ago and so far their food is pretty good. The owner seemed to be great and wanted feedback on his food overall the environment of the restaurant is nice. As of right now the restaurant isn't busy I'm guessing because they are new but I do see this place becoming popular once people find out about their delicious curry. This might be my go to place that's close to home instead of driving to Sacramento. Service was very great food came out in a timely matter and have no complaints about this place it's very clean and filled with friendly staff who are willing to break down what the food is and what they recommend. They also have some pictures of the food so that you can see what you're buying.

We were seated immediately, which I always appreciate. The space is pretty big with a modern feel, and there's plenty of parking out front (no circling the lot like a hawk -- love that). Even though they gave us the lunch menu, we went à la carte. Ordered: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, coconut shrimp, butter naan, and rice -- all medium spice where applicable. The tandoori chicken was tender and well seasoned -- no dry chicken nonsense here. The butter chicken was exactly what you want it to be: rich, creamy, tomato-forward, and comforting. But the one that caught me off guard a bit was the coconut shrimp -- creamy, slightly sweet, and a little more mild than "medium" heat, probably because of the coconut milk, but still really good. And listen... the butter naan? Fresh, warm, and absolutely necessary. Both the butter chicken and coconut shrimp were made for dipping. No shame in wiping those plates clean. Service was great. Staff was kind, checked in on us without hovering, and kept our water filled without us needing to flag anyone down. Overall -- easy, enjoyable lunch. Good food, good service, no complaints. I'd definitely come back.

After trying it I had to come back with my wife to share that experience. It's a crispy and savory appetizer that comes with a tamarind and mint juice that when combined is an experience itself. Both refreshing and comforting - it tastes like a healthy snack that is also a close comparison to texture of potato chips. We also ordered two naan and we each got butter chicken. They were delicious, flavorful, and filling. To celebrate Father's Day we each got a dessert. The saffron ice cream was super unique, and was enjoyable. The pudding was very tasty and was our preference. The ice cream we both felt was refreshing and not overly sweet. Our service was wonderful - reservation and they called to confirm (about 5 minutes before) and had us seated immediately. Our waiter checked on us often without being too frequent, a good balance of support. Ambiance is intimate - smaller indoor seating area of about 10 tables and you can see the staff the whole time. Clean and comfortable restaurant and great service. Highly recommend - and I'd recommend the naan, butter chicken, and pani puri (going to adventure out and try more when we come back again!)

The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure our large group was taken care of throughout the meal. Vibes are ok. Don't expect a fancy setup. The pricing was fair for the amount of food we received. A 15% gratuity was included, and for a party of 7 our total came to about $206. We ordered multiple entrees, sodas, and wine, so we felt it was a great value. Service: 10/10 Flavors: 10/10 Value: 10/10 Vibes: 7/10 Will I come back? Yes

I always go for the butter chicken, medium spicy, and it is so good. The flavor is rich, perfectly spiced, and just hits every time. I usually end up spending around 24 dollars when I add extra rice and garlic naan to the butter chicken, but honestly, it is so worth it. The portions are really generous. It is easily the size of two meals in one, so you can definitely save some for the next day. I have not tried any other Indian food spots in Davis, and to be honest, I do not really feel the need to because this place is just that good. Whether I get it to go or sit down with friends and family, the experience is always great. They are very quick with their service, and even when I order ahead, the food is still hot and ready to go when I pick it up. Overall, this is a spot I will keep going back to. We were greeted by the sweetest waitress, who promptly took our drink order and then gave us a few minutes to look over the menu without feeling rushed. For appetizers, we chose the Nepali samosas, mushroom pakora, and goat cheese naan--every single one was delicious. I usually order the Chicken Tikka Masala, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the Butter Chicken. I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Paired with the garlic basil naan, it was perfection. A little piece of naan, a small scoop of basmati rice, and a drizzle of that rich, flavorful butter chicken was absolutely chef's kiss. The portions were generous, and I had plenty left over. Now I'm genuinely looking forward to lunch tomorrow so I can relive the experience all over again. If you're looking for incredible Indian and Nepali food in Sacramento, Everest Curry is definitely worth a visit.

The server (I guess...it was a buffet) greeted me warmly, and immediately got my drink order. Water was refilled, no complaints. The paintings were beautiful...and I caught myself looking at them for moments at a time. Now then...I'm working a lot of OT this week, and getting a cold. So, treat myself and help with a cold is two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The butter chicken tasted like lukewarm jarred sweet and sour sauce from a Chinese restaurant...no spice, but nothing resembling any butter chicken I've tried. The chicken curry was...salty...I guess, but not much other flavor. I literally was the first customer...and the samosas were not crispy at all....too soggy. Plate 2 wasn't much better. The goat curry was the most flavorable of anything, but not the best I've had. The tandoori chicken leg I had was borderline undercover. I NEEDED spice today, people ..kill this cold. While some of your patrons are Caucasian, we're American...not British. We like spice. For $24, I expect a buffet of much higher caliber.

Fast forward to now, my husband, sister, and I decided to come here for dinner because yeti restaurant was closed. For those who haven't been in here before, the best way I can describe this restaurant is dark. Paint is dark, booth are dark. Everything is kind of moody and dark. Definitely not my kind of aesthetic, but does that really matter for this restaurant? No. The service is always fine. Staff is always friendly enough and fast. When we got the food, we were pleasantly surprised, like I said before I have only eaten at the buffet here and that was over a decade ago. While we were eating, we noted that we actually enjoyed the flavors here more than we enjoy the flavors at yeti restaurant. Something about the blend of spices just fits our palette more than the other restaurant. We found that there was an adequate amount of food, they didn't skimp out on meats, and we were overall really happy with our meal. Is it the best Indian food I've ever had? No, but it was really good by Davis standards and consider considering that there aren't a ton of Indian places in the Sacramento area. I think this might be our new go to Indian place now! I'm glad I gave this another shot!

Kathmandu Kitchen is named after a city in Nepal, so it should be no surprise the food here is Indian and Nepali. While I can't speak to the flavor or authenticity of their momos or other Nepali staples, their curries are extremely delicious and distinct from other Indian restaurants and recipes I've tried. I think the first thing you might notice is that a lot of their curries have a touch of sweetness, and pretty much all of their curries have a consistent texture. They do an amazing job making each curry silky and rich and flavorful. Every dish tastes fresh and unique in their own spice profiles and marinades. I highly recommend the paneer tikka masala, chicken makhani (very similar/the same as butter chicken I think), kitchen masala, and basil curry. Also, their actual restaurant experience is very nice too. The staff is very courteous and professional. The restaurant is large, vibey, and clean. There are two reasons I don't give Kathmandu a 5 star. The first that both me and partner almost always need to add salt to the dish. I could see why someone might write off Kathmandu if they went a few times and wrote it off because they never tried adding salt to their dish. The second reason is that the spice level isn't as consistent as I'd like. Sometimes, asking for medium spice level results in almost no heat, sometimes it borders on too much. Sometimes getting hot spice level is hot but enjoyable, sometimes it's very hot even for me. Mild is consistent but Id guess that's because they simply don't add extra hot chili powder or something like that. Overall, I highly recommend this spot if you love Indian food and want to try some Nepali spins and flavors.
