    Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and fries
    Ronit D.

This place is brand new and has a couple kinks to work out, but is still really good! It's located in a pretty busy plaza, right next to the original Taco Ssam location. The low point of this place is the size. The restaurant is TINY, literally a skinny bar with 6 bar stools located right next to the register. Also, there is absolutely no room to wait (as it's a single hallway that runs straight to the back). It was a little awkward to sit right next to people I don't know while eating at the bar. But once you get over the lack of space, this place is pretty good. The kitchen is located right in front of the bar stools, so you can see them make all of your food right in front of you! I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, which this place is known for. I thought it was super cool that you could get 3 different "flavors" for the sandwich. I decided to get the Korean twist and get the spicy/sweet (gochujang) flavor. The food did take a long time to come out. I was waiting for almost 20 minutes, but I attribute this to being new. The owner saw how long I was waiting and compensated me with a free mini Shepard's Pie, which was nice and flaky. Once I got my food, I was pretty impressed! The buttermilk chicken was perfectly fried! It was crispy and juicy at the same time and paired perfectly with the gochujang. All of the sandwich elements fit perfectly. Paired with the fries, I had tons of food and was full for hours. There was also some cool sauces available that had combined elements of Mexican and Korean culture. Overall, I think that this place was a great fusion of three different cultures into one dish!o

Food was honestly just "okay". Did not wow me. There's no place to eat really. A very small place with a pop up bar table with about 6 seats.

Saltenas here are bomb. If you love Taco Ssam you'll love this place. There's an eclectic mix of food here, from mandu to fried chicken. Definitely pick up a chicken saltena while you're here. Ssam never does wrong.

Really small place. They have a good variety of food choices. I got tamales and my boyfriend got the buttermilk crispy chicken. I thought getting tamales were safe to get (as in nothing could go wrong with it since I've had it before) but the ones I got were very soggy and it made it hard to eat. It was wrapped with 2 huge leafs. Got very messy. I was disappointed because I was excited, since I haven't had it in while. My boyfriends meal looked good he said he didn't like it much though. The fries were very good !! I also got the corn tamal which was my favorite out of everything we ordered. The cashier was very nice and polite.

We said heck yeahhhh, so the decision was made AMBIANCE: Big space, pretty empty as we were one of the last people to eat before they closed! They were very accommodating-- letting us know their kitchen closed at 10:30 PM and the restaurant closed at 11 PM. When we arrived, it was 945, so we weren't looking to play around. We knew what we were gonna get. Onward we went SERVICE: My girl Arieles (PRETTY sure that's what her name was) was our server! She was so sweet and got us our stuff promptly. We knew we were coming in late so we weren't gonna waste time, but she was joyful to serve us regardless and I appreciate that. So many times people are FED UP, and it shows, to be at the end of their shift (and I get it), so it was nice to have someone of good demeanor to host us! FOOD: We ordered brisket, spicy pork belly, spicy chicken, and spicy bulgogi. First time trying the spicy Bulgogi for fear that it was gonna be TOO spicy and it was not at all! To reference -- I thought the kimchi was a bit spicier than the bulgogi! So try it, flavor is amazing! Can't wait to come again. I hadn't gone to KBBQ in a long while!

The prices are quite good and the portions are generous. I had a full second meal the next day without trying. I got the Yangzhou fried rice and it was very well executed. The meat inside was excellent, with what tasted like lap cheong or a similar Chinese sausage. The egg was fluffy, not burnt, nicely moist, and evenly distributed. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, with real depth of flavor. This is fried rice done properly. The other dish was listed as spicy fried chicken or something, though it was basically a la zi ji. It was excellent. I loved the peppers, and the spices were very aromatic. The frying was done well, clearly cooked in plenty of oil, so not exactly light food, but extremely satisfying. The chicken was crisp and flavorful, and the overall execution was strong. The food came out fast, the prices were low, and the quality was high, and service was good. This is an authentic Hong Kong-style place, not fancy or polished, but clearly focused on getting the food right. Five stars. I definitely want to come back.

Even with so many great Vietnamese restaurants nearby, we always find ourselves coming back. The team is wonderful and has gotten to know our family over the years. They're always accommodating when we ask for small modifications, and the hospitality is one of the reasons we keep returning. I've tried bún bò Huế all over the area, but Rice Paper's is still my favorite. The garden rolls are always fresh, the peanut sauce is addictive, and their chicken pho is an underrated standout. It's incredibly fragrant, comforting, and one of those dishes that doesn't need to be flashy to be exceptional. The only downsides are the popularity and a couple of quirks. Expect a wait during busy times, and every so often the credit card machine is down, making it cash only. The restaurant also occasionally closes when the chef takes a well-deserved trip, which can be disappointing when you're craving it. Even so, Rice Paper remains our go-to Vietnamese restaurant and a place we'll continue visiting for years to come.

This seems to be a new sad trend :( There was a waiting area with tiny cocktail tables and I was able to sit there and someone eventually took my drink order. What was crazy was that after so many appetizers, we were too full for the whole crispy fish! Ugh! Now I have to come back. The baked oysters were as good as I remembered. So when a new contender like Siam Miyaki opens its doors, I can't help but wonder: does it have the chops to earn a spot on my personal stir‑fried short list? The location is dangerously convenient--close enough to solve those hunger pangs and decision paralysis moments. The storefront itself is compact but spotless, with a few tables if you're in the mood to dine in. I went the take‑out route, and the process was painless: quick order, quick pickup, no fuss. My Pad Thai Chicken (medium heat) arrived in a portion size that could double as a week's worth of leftovers. The spice level didn't play; it came in hot, balanced by a subtle sweetness. A splash of soy sauce added the missing umami kick, turning "pretty good" into "worth remembering." If I'm being precise, this is a 3.5‑star experience. But in an economy where value is king, Siam Miyaki earns the bump to 4 stars. Large portions, fair price, and a new player worth keeping an eye on.
