I would definitely recommend this shop for any repairs but especially if you have an EV since not all shops are the same when it comes to these cars. I have a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach E and was hit on the drivers side rear bumper and wheel. The bumper has a back up camera and these cars have a lot of calibration needs after repair but they took care of everything. I was called and texted and updated regularly and they had it completed well before I anticipated it to be. They even cleaned it inside and out and it looks like a new car again. They worked with my insurance company for payment and I didn't have to do anything. I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend them! read more

Last month, we had our catalytic converter stolen. Our insurance connected us to CARSTAR, and we handed over the car and keys to the tow truck, and they delivered it directly to CARSTAR...without us ever setting foot in the office. Mike from CARSTAR organized the drop-off and kept us frequently updated on the status of the part. Unfortunately, Toyota had a massive shortage of the catalytic converter, and Mike informed us that, according to Toyota, we wouldn't have the part until September. He called every few days to give us an update (even if nothing had changed) and made sure our car was safely in the garage during overnights and disconnected the battery to avoid it going dead. This past Friday, we got an update that our catalytic converter would come in this Monday (today), and our car would be ready by then. Today, we picked up our car and paid the deductible. Mike walked us out to a freshly-washed car and explained the aftereffects that came with a new catalytic converter. We were genuinely impressed by the service, and we can't thank Mike and the team enough for making sure our car was taken care of. Highly recommend! read more

I had a dent and some scratch/transfer damage on the driver's side of my car. I got an estimate of $2,500 for the damages from a collision center, but no way was I going to pay that! So I looked for another alternative and found CarStar as they do PDR (paintless dent removal). They charged me $300 for both my dent and the scratch/damage. It looks like NEW and anyone who looked at it now would have absolutely no idea there was damage to it. The front office staff and their PDR guy were the absolute sweetest and incredible friendly. I had body work done through my insurance. It's an electric car. I just found out they used all the charge and refuse to charge it taking it below the 20% recommendation of charge. Some guy said he was the after hours answering service but got very abusive, agitated and combative. He kept calling me pretending to be the after hours service. Well, I want to first say this: I know I was very eager to have my car back, and 6 weeks into the process I did begin to call frequently. I admit my persistence. My car was taken to Harnix on March 16th after being hit while parked on the street. The damage was substantial and I was grateful the shop seemed so reassuring. After about 3 1/2 weeks I began calling to ask for updates and this is where my frustration began, I could never get a straight answer, after the 4th week is when the over promising and under delivering began. I would be told my car would be ready on a Friday, Friday would come and the next story was it would be ready next week. So on and so forth. If I wasn't paying for rentals the entire my car was in the shop I wouldn't have been so bothered by the delays. Once I got my car back everything was good until I needed to put gas in my tank. There was a loose screw in the door to the fuel tank which caused the door to have contact with the fresh painted fender. No problem, I took it back to Harnix and they fixed it the same day. But not without chipping the paint in the process!! I decided against pointing out the new chip because I didn't want to have to be without my car again. Overall my experience was one I hope to not have to relive any time soon. With a 5000$ deductible I would have thought that Harnix would be as eager to collect payment from me as I was to collect my car! The one positive thing from the experience was the discount I received by checking in on Yelp. read more

Gonzalo. Gonzalo. Gonzalo. You are amazing, brother. My wife was rear ended. We didn't know what to do. Zero. Nothing. Insurance company said one thing, internet advice said another. But Gonzalo, this guy knows the ins and outs. He suggested we go through the other party's insurance to avoid paying the deductible. So we did. He gave us a quote also. Anyway, he guided us through everything and we could email or text him. I'm a super busy guy, and well, I live in the 21st century so I don't like talking on the phone. I prefer text or emails and Gonzalo did all his business with me over texts because it was my preference. My wife dropped off the car, and he set up the appointment for enterprise rent a car to pick us up. Oh yeah, don't forget to let the insurance company know that you'll need a rental because it'll take prob 1-2 weeks depending on how much damage was done to your car. Anyway, Gonzalo knows his stuff. Trustworthy. You know what's even cooler? I still message him personally on Yelp with insurance questions and accident questions because he's so knowledgeable. He is willing to go above and beyond, and even answer my questions even though he has finished repairing my wife's car!! Amazing guy. Great company. 5/5 stars. Gonzalo took care of me through the whole process and even recommended some tactics to negotiate with my insurance company in the future. Car was in a minor accident, but salvaged due to age. I got quotes from two 5-star body shops on Yelp and both were comparable, but Harnix came in at a lower price and Gonzalo did an EXCELLENT job explaining everything in detail and provided a breakdown of costs and options since I was paying out of pocket. Car was done within the given time frame and no surprise adders to the price. As a female, we get taken advantage of when it comes to cars, but I did not get that feeling at all with Gonzalo. I was treated with respect, fairly, and honesty. Work was done well and can't tell that anything happened. Replaced the front bumper, supports, and headlight; repaired curtain, apron, hood, and side panel; painted and blended to match. They even fixed my license plate to make it flat again. I trusted them enough to add additional work to the job to paint the rear spoiler and hood that was fading, and got a fair price on that as well. I plan on going back to Harnix when I need just regular body work done and touch ups on this car and my other cars. Thanks Gonzalo and Harnix! A couple things to be aware of once the work is in progress... - They want everything in writing if you're giving them direction or making changes, so don't be surprised if they ask you to text or email instead. - Gonzalo was pretty busy when he was working on the car, so he wasn't as responsive, but then I would just call the main office and they'd give me an update or track Gonzalo down to call me back. read more

This is the SECOND 5-star review I have given to Bill and team at CARSTAR Orange. See my previous from April 12, 2021, in which our 2005 SUV that my wife loved was "totaled" by the insurance company but Bill help coordinate with the insurance company to help us get the damage covered and keep a clean title to the car. This time I had a slide panel of my 2013 Hyundai Sonata become detached and I could not fix it myself. On a hope of more good service I just dropped in to CARSTAR Orange to ask Bill what he thought. Luckily for me Bill was available and he remembered me from last year and agreed to take a quick look at the car. He pulled my car it into his shop and 10 minutes later the crew had taken off the bumper, refitted the panel and the car was good as new. All this done as a courtesey to a previous customer.
