I've tried quite a few of the dry cleaners in downtown Minneapolis, and St Croix has been my favorite of the group. Here's why: 1) Good service: All of my orders have come back on time and perfectly cleaned and pressed. They have even done a great job taking stains out. I've had some bad experiences with other dry cleaners downtown with broken buttons, late orders, and wrinkled shirts, but St Croix has always been great. 2) Friendly staff: I really like the staff at St Croix (all the downtown locations, but particularly the IDS Center). 3) Good list of locations: I feel like St Croix has not only the most locations downtown, but also the most convenient. There are quite a few in the skyway, and also a couple at street level that are open on Saturdays. 4) Reasonable prices: St Croix isn't the cheapest dry cleaner in town, but for the quality and consistency, their prices are an excellent value. read more

I have used it in the past and it was ok but lately their machines or the people who works there do a terrible job! They've ruined my 10 or more pieces of cloth, 100% cashmere sweaters and cardigans, a few thousand of dollars ruined by them two dresses and a couple pants as well. One of my beautiful unique dresses completely destroyed with the material so thin that almost looks like a hole. I've been calling and no one give an answer to what happened and what they're going to do about it, in fact no one replies. Super disgusting, infuriating and frustrating!!' Worst experience ever! I received a message at 4:45 stating my laundry was ready to be picked up. I was at the door at 5pm. The agent immediately said I am closed and has closed her drawer. She will not be able to help me. I stated I just received the message and it's 5. She said there is nothing that she can do. Poor customer service on behalf of the staff member. The manager contacted me shortly thereafter. He argued with me stating that she should have already had the doors locked and didn't need to assist me. He continued to argue with me regarding his staffing challenges, failing to provide any customer service and how it was my fault for showing up at 5. He did provide me with 20% off my order. I had to end the call as he continued to argue. I will not be returning and sharing my interaction with all that I know. read more

I brought a dress to St Croix in May, and requested a 1 inch hem to be taken off the bottom, no other alterations or repairs needed, and I did not have any sort of alteration appointment. I was charged $35.00 for the hem. I then referred my friend and brought in two dresses two months later for the exact same service, and upon check out was asked to pay $180.00. I reached out to one of the owners, and he assured me he would call me back the next morning after doing his "homework". He never called back, so I called him. Dave told me that a mistake had been made the first time when coding the dress, and the best he could do was give me 20 dollars off the total, which was about the equivalent of tax only. He told me that they "couldn't be in the hole anymore than they already were with this" and I "got such a good deal the first time" and that should be good enough with the additional 20 dollar credit. He also told me if "I would have asked, they would have told me the price outright" but why would I do so when I brought a dress in just two months prior and was charged less than half that amount? I have worked in small business, and I understand the cost of running a business when every dollar counts. However, being in those environments I have always witnessed the absolute highest regard for customer service, especially when the mistake was not due to customer error or the customer looking to nickel and dime the business. I specifically stated I did not want a full refund, but was hoping we could meet somewhere in the middle ONLY because I brought someone else's money into the situation after ensuring them of a different price. Instead, I now feel nickel and dimed just because at one time I "got a good deal," when in reality I 1. did not know I was getting a good deal and 2. I would have never brought my business back somewhere that insists in charging their customers $80.00 plus tax for removing one inch off the bottom of a dress. I am disappointed that this was the absolute WORST experience, which resulted in me paying half of what I bought the dress for in alterations. The ONLY silver lining in this situation was Carole, the store manager at this location. She was sweet, she did everything she could to help me and directed me in the right direction to rectify the situation. However, once it got above Carole's head, nothing was done besides the a credit for the cost of tax. I will never bring my business or refer anyone to this company again. read more

Brought in clothes twice so far. The first shirt I got back I noticed that the button on the sleeve was broken which happens when you iron the buttons. This was a new shirt so it was clearly the dry cleaner. No issues with a couple of my other shirts and then today when I went to wear my white shirt I noticed a large iron burn on the back. That shirt was also new. I had brought my second set of clothes in yesterday and was waiting behind someone complaining that they lost one of his shirts. After spending 5 minutes giving my address and then giving it again they found my account. I told them how many articles of clothes and then they listed the wrong number on the receipt (I don't usually check that but thought I should). The quality is consistently good and, if there is an issue, is always addressed and willingly fixed. What truly sets this location apart is the quality of the service. WORST experience I've ever had with customer service, communication, and management. My friend and I brought two bridesmaid dresses here to get an inch in length taken off of each dress. Just a month prior, my friend brought another bridesmaid dress to get an inch taken off the bottom and the total was $35, thus being the reason she referred me to take my dress here. $180 later for a one inch hem off of 2 dresses, we approached the management asking why it was such a drastic price difference from our first experience. We were told to call a man named, Dave, one of the owners to clear this up. Dave was very off-putting explaining the difference in price, saying that an employee must have incorrectly input the price the first time. He then proceeded say they are so "in the hole" from the first time they incorrectly input the price and are still trying to make up for it, offering no solutions. We had to call Dave twice before he ever responded with any solutions. He offered $20 off the total price, bringing our total down to $160. This was such a poor experience, I will no longer being using their services or referring their services to friends and family. read more

Huge hassle -- they lost one of my garments. Not only was it not ready for pickup when it was supposed to be, it took me going into the store SEVERAL times over the course of WEEKS until someone found them. Multiple employees in the store told me they would look, and call me, but never called. They said they would escalate it to mgmt, but that never seemed to happen either. When they eventually turned up weeks later, they still made me pay full price to recover my garment despite the huge inconvenience and delay. Would have otherwise rated them much higher but this experience was ridiculous. I wouldn't trust them with my clothes. read more

I have been using St Croix cleaners for 5 years now. Quality of work is very nice , usually clothes are delivered whatever delivery date is promised.
