I like this busy 2 level coffee shop. I stop in every time I'm getting my vehicle serviced or planning to buy supplies from Trek. The coffee drinks, sandwiches & baked goods are customizable and good. The staff is cool too. It tends to be loud inside so I normally place a to go order especially if I have to make phone calls. Additionally, the upstairs has tables & chairs but it tends to stay full with folks working on their laptops.

Popped in the other day when I was at Great Harvest Bread Co -- shocked to find a 2nd loc! I've gone to St Elmo's in Del Ray for years. It won't knock your socks off, but it's pretty good coffee. I got an iced decaf skinny latte. Not bad. The ambiance is way better in the DR location. This loc -- off Fern - is kind of utilitarian. I'm sure the neighbors are thrilled to have them!

I like St Elmo's but I don't LOVE St Elmo's... for different reasons. Service is already great. Ran by the younger generation but they've always been sweet, kind, and accommodating. Some pay better attention than others but it's a part of growing. For instance, I've asked for an iced drink on separate occasions but they always seem to miss when I say iced... I thought it was me at first but it was different people so I don't think it's me. I also like to get iced so I can see that I am getting my full volume of drink. See attached photo- missing a whole inch of latte whenever I order a hot drink. I always instantly feel it in the weight. Food is ok. Poptarts are ok. They always look so good waiting in line but don't really pop or standout to me after I eat them. Croissants are always good. Bagels are good. I tend to always get their sausage, egg and spinach wrap but what I hate is that spinach releases so much moisture so it gets soggy towards the end of eating it. The egg is boiled and not scrambled, something that always take me off guard but it's alright. Coffee is ok. Seasonal drinks tend to be a hit or miss. I had their autumn spice latte. Just tasted like a latte with some cinnamon and spice. It isn't as "blended" as I'd think it'd be. Toasted marshmallow latte tastes like a regular latte. Nothing special here. Surprisingly I really like their matcha latte with a pump of simple syrup. They do that really well here. Overall I give a 3/5. It can get loud depending on the day. It's well lit with ample seating. They do close early, so don't come here if you want an evening coffee or night cap.

Once again the Alexandria Vegetarian sandwich was prepared with care and nutritious, delicious precision. In the near future, I would like invite my business partners to enjoy lunch at this place. Thank you for another day filled with delicious food, hospitality and excellent service. Take care and make it a great day.

Friendly Staff, fast moving line and nice ambiance. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs, nice and clean. This is our second one of the St.Elmo's we have visited. We love the breakfast burrito, the one here seemed a little bland, but with pepper & hot sauce it was still good. Coffee as always was good with several roasts to chose from, we took home some pastries and enjoyed this evening- Delicious Love the Mural !!!

I was in the area and needed a place to study. If I study at home, laundry and the dishes have never seemed so enticing! I was so excited to see plenty of street parking - I live in DC - and plenty of space inside. There is a wide open and inviting front entrance with high top tables and regular lower tops. Plus, lots of seating in their upstairs space. Bar like seating, high tops, regular tables and a long community table that seats 6. Lots of outlets with USB connections as well. I ordered the fall seasonal spice latte that has honey and some spices in it. I enjoyed it. Not my favorite seasonal but enjoyable. They have a few other seasonals plus your regular coffee and tea selection. They have baked goods and a menu of regular food items as well. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, a great spot.

This will definitely be a new fav spot to enjoy. Coffee is community....it brings folks together. I love the vibe here already. It's bright, minimalist, and warm. Their lavender tea is particularly tasty. I also have heard GREAT things about the breakfast sandwiches. Stay tuned....

I'm almost reluctant to post a review because I love the St. Elmo's in Del Rey and this one is much newer, ergo wayyyyy less crowded. Cool downstairs and upstairs, and has a to go window. Free wifi. A few seats with outlets at least. A smaller food menu than Del Rey (for now at least) but what they have is great!

I went with the Let's Make a Toast, which came with two eggs, my choice of meat, and their signature French toast. I chose scrambled eggs and turkey sausage patties. The French toast absolutely hit the spot! It was thick, nicely cooked, dusted with powdered sugar, and paired perfectly with the syrup. After craving French toast for so long, I was definitely satisfied. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, and the turkey sausage was flavorful and a nice complement to everything. I also ordered the Jolly Green fresh juice, made with apple, cucumber, celery, spinach, kale, grapes, and lemon. I really enjoyed it. It was fresh and refreshing, with a good balance between the fruit and greens. I also really liked the atmosphere. The restaurant was bright, clean, and inviting, with some really nice décor throughout. Overall, a great late lunch...even though I went full breakfast. After months of wanting French toast, HomeGrown delivered. I'd definitely come back!

For me, their limoncello french toast, turkey side, and roasted rosemary potatoes were standouts. --- HomeGrown does breakfast right. They have community partners which supply their goods, and boy did you taste the difference. The food was awesome, exactly what you crave when you want a good breakfast. We ordered the (1) limoncello french toast, (2) BYOB (Build your own breakfast), and (3) HomeGrown coffee cake: -Limoncello french toast: Densely cakey and mochi-like consistency made the french toast a standout to me. It wasn't too sweet, and the vanilla bean creme anglaise sauce was perfectly balanced by the tartness of the lemon curd. The eggs and ham I ordered on the side were pretty standard. - BYOB: The rosemary potatoes and turkey side were AWESOME! I am not a crispy potato person, so I was happy with the softer texture of these potatoes (but my friend didn't like them as much as I did). The turkey was juicy and very flavorful, and an unexpected surprise. The eggs and English muffins were pretty standard. -HomeGrown coffee cake: For $6.5, we were happy with the size of the slice. It a tiny bit too sweet for me with the caramel sauce, but the cake was moist on its own. We felt like we needed 3 people to comfortably eat this size portion. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. We were really happy with our server, the cleanliness of the restaurant (and even the bathroom!), and the ambiance. It was very cute and well-decorated, and I can see it being a great spot for many occasions. It wasn't too loud despite it being pretty full. Overall, I'd recommend HomeGrown if you want a breakfast that won't disappoint. The turkey and rosemary potatoes were my favorite, but I really enjoyed all of the food. I will definitely be back!

There's something about their peanut butter that's mildly addicting. I think it's homemade (need to verify this). The other day I decided to also try their "Zen rolls" since I saw this on the Uber Eats menu. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! When I took the first bite, at first I noticed how refreshing it tasted, and how delicious the chili sauce was. As I was eating it the veggies tasted fresh, especially the peppers and the strawberry combined with the chili sauce was so good in the most surprising way. Who knew rice paper rolls could be THIS healthy? Despite being tired that day I ended up with renowned energy after eating those rolls. Like it felt super nourishing. These were definitely the most tasty veggie rolls I've had in a while. The sauce is just divine. I love that they really package their stuff so carefully and the box has such a cute aesthetic. Everything truly feels like it's made with love, and their cups have little fake stickers on them to really give your drink a personal touch, something I don't see at other smoothie or juice bars. Everything just has this niche personal feeling to it. If you want a healthy lunch or drink, this is your spot. It definitely feels like you are getting real good nourishment here and I am all for it. I will be back soon for my ACAI fix! Or maybe I'll try their other smoothies like the blue one with spirulina in it. Such a gem!

The smoothie was creamy, fruity, and visually one of the most striking drinks I've had in a while. The mango and banana gave it a naturally sweet flavor, while the coconut yogurt added a rich texture. I could still pick up some of the blue spirulina underneath everything, which kept it from tasting one-dimensional. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. It felt like a place where you could slow down for a few minutes instead of grabbing something and rushing back out the door. One thing I like about this smoothie is that it's easy to customize. After having it before, I've found that ordering it with light banana and no agave makes it taste lighter and lets the mango come through more. That said, the standard version was still enjoyable and is probably the best starting point if you've never tried it before. I'd definitely come back and try other drinks on the menu.

This cafe was recommended by an uber driver, as well as others, who have visited the local shopping center. Once you enter this small cafe, you will hear Ethipion pop music in the background, not too loud, and you may find older gentlemen sitting with their coffee drinks and talking in Amheric about politics or stories from back home. Once I entered this wonderful place, the guests were surprised and definitely stared as I came in. Lolol I am a big fan of Ethiopian coffee and the Ethiopian way to prepare coffee and espresso beverages. Their menus carry a list of typical espresso beverages, a list of baked goods, and a list of smoothie drink varieties. They are very well priced. I ordered a delicious and hearty Ethiopian special hot tea, which contained ample amounts of ginger, honey and orange. I am recovering from a cold and cough, and the drink helped to clear my throat and sinuses. It was higher priced compared with the other beverages (it's worth the price), and I ordered *for here* since they have many ceramic cups and glassware and they ultimately gave me a paper cup even though guests sitting at the small tables were drinking from ceramic cups and glassware. Also ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice, but they did not add ice. If you want a cold drink with ice, I guess you should tell them that you want ice in it when you order. Definitely a different experience drinking a fruit juice w/o ice. I liked their version of tiramisu. They add more coffee powder and cocoa powder in the cake and on top of it. Also, they make a Creamy and filling strawberry layered cake with a custard in the middle, called fruit cake. Light cake and dense custard the same time. Reminded me of a Mille feaux. For groups of three or more, I would recommend getting your order to go due to space limitations.
