Not sure if that was the best way or not. The parking lot is not huge, and you can't park in the designated camping area spots. There are plenty of picnic tables, probably more than parking spaces. There are at least 20 tables there. There are a few trails to choose from. Very close the parking and campsites is a short 1/4 hike (or shorter) to the dinosaur prints. There is a hike in the other direction to the mini waterfall and pond. Probably about a mile or a little over a mile (1direction). We also found an old almost petrified bristlecone tree (that was neat). We got lucky with the weather for Dec, it was probably about 60 degrees and very nice. I saw that in the summer it can be over 110 so I am glad that we got the nice weather. The red /orange scenery is spectacular and representative of the area, like it is at zion, bryce, snow canyon, pioneer park, etc. We enjoyed a picnic lunch there, and we had a blue bird, a scrub jay, come join us and beg for food. It is a beautiful and easy hike - until the very end. it meanders along a path - then at the end you need to climb some pretty big rocks to see the payoff of the beautiful canyon. We loved this hike. (but were thrown off by the Yelp directions that sent us in an alternate direction.

The other side will just have restrooms. But either way, these are excellent amenities and exactly what you need after a long day of hiking. I wish it were bigger so our dogs could really run around more to unwind at the end of the day. We look forward to staying again.

It was spotlessly clean, easy to find and enter, great parking, and great location to Zion. The bedrooms were huge, with a king sized bed and twin bed in each, so you could easily sleep 6 adults here, and more if people were willing to do air mattresses in the living room. The bathrooms were great, and fully stocked with many towels. Great shower and bath tub. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook, including a crock pot and waffle maker! They ever had a pancake/waffle mix out on the counter which was so cute. The tv was easy to use and had lots of app options. The blinds worked great to keep out the sun. The couch was very comfortable and the kitchen is huge! The street was very quiet, and the little town had a few nice restaurants and was only minutes away from the main drag in Hurricane. I am so happy my husband found this place, what a score! Honestly my only negative notes are nitpicking - one of the twin bed frames was loose and creaky and could use some tightening. The ceiling fan in our room was stuck on the highest mode and we couldn't adjust it. Tiny things like that, but nothing to take away from what a phenomenal experience we had. We don't go to Zion often which is kind of a shame because I would totally stay here again.

Its always squeaky clean, has comfortable king bed and best of all - a fenced backyard with grass. We so look forward to stopping here after a long day of driving. The back fence is 4ft tall which works fine for us as our big dogs are not jumpers. Also, nice patch of grass. It's on a fairly busy street so the front room has a bit of street noise but it doesn't bother us at all. It's a 2 bed/2 bath both ensuites with king beds. Everything you would need in the kitchen, cozy living room area with a small TV. Lots of places to eat in Hurricane which is 5 min away. Highly recommend. So grateful we don't have to walk the dogs on leashes (yucko) - just open the front door and shoo them in - then they can roam around the backyard safely. We will be back again and again!

We asked for another spot but they were booked up. They did offer a refund if we decided not to stay. We booked an extra night at our next stop and stayed the night but left one day early. Kiddos used the pool and we walked the dogs but not much else. It ended up fine but next time we will stay elsewhere when in the area.

Autocamp Zion with toddlers We traveled to Autocamp Zion…read morewith 22 month old twins and a 4yo. We rented the Airstream trailer and tent. Wanted to leave a review with some considerations for that crowd. Overall we thought it was a very cool area and it suited our needs for wanting to experience a renting a trailer. It had beautiful views. Everything was fairly clean especially outdoors. The futon was slightly stained/darkened from years of use. ***FLIES*** were a huge problem on the campsite. They were swarming our kids wagon and us anytime we went outside. This wasn't an issue in Zion NP but it was on the campsite site for some reason. It was pretty gross. If you have the bandwidth maybe trying bringing fly repellent or a fly trap for your area. 1. Temperature: Especially with young children, choose your travel dates wisely. Weather for "Zion" the week of our trip said high 90s and the actual autocamp temp was 101-106. It was unbearable and left us in the camper the entire afternoons after our busy mornings in the national park. The trailer also does not keep up with the heat. It was getting up to 85 degrees in the trailer even with maximum air conditioning (which is very loud and uncomfortable by the way). This was a big reason that we left early. 2. Toddler mischief: We all know toddlers love to open and close doors. The trailer has multiple cabinet doors, a bedroom door, and sliding bathroom door that the kids would not leave alone. We ended up using suitcases to block these issues. 3. Futon VERY uncomfortable to sleep on. 4. Pillows were not great, glad I brought my own. 5. The tent was HOTTTTT. We literally only used the tent for storage and the refrigerator because it was unbearably hot. 6. Fridge space: The fridge in the trailer is very tiny. It has a small icebox that we fit a few small ice packs and two frozen food items in. If you have the tent you have access to a more reasonable mini fridge. 7. Short staffed - there was usually only one person working the front, kitchen, phones, etc. We weren't able to check out because no one was around mid day and we had to call 5+ times to get someone to answer after we left in order to check out. 8. The pool was nice but no shade. It has about a 6 foot by 20 foot area of 1 foot water that was great for toddlers, but the kids just wanted to keep getting in and out of the water which was not enjoyable. 9. I liked that no cars are allowed to drive through the property because we were more comfortable letting the kids free roam. There are golf carts that pass through so you still have to be careful. It was also a long walk back to the car at times especially at hot temps. 10. Pack and plays: We fit two pack and plays in the kitchen/futon area for the kids to sleep. It was cramped but it worked. 11. Food: The breakfast was underwhelming. They were supposed to have a yogurt bar? One day it was just cereal. We ended up buying a yogurt parfait that was good but the next day they didn't have any. The pizza was also underwhelming. I don't think anyone enjoyed it.

The mgmt. allowed them to ICE-out all of their EV chargers (except the handicap one) which is against Auto Camp's own advertised and physically signed policy of "EV Parking Only" Since these 15-mpg Lambos run on Trump-juice, they could have parked anywhere in the huge parking lot. But I guess EVs make them feel insecure so they had to be rude to not feel like the losers they are? Regardless all of us EV drivers who were also paying $300 per night to sleep in the same over-priced little Airstream trailers, felt disenfranchised by the complicit property. One would think that Lamborghini, could afford to buy out the entire camp so they could have the whole gravel parking lot for their own little car show, but apparently these $300k Lambos are not selling well enough? So, they just acted like they owned the entire Auto Camp after renting out less than half of it. And Auto Camp mgmt was happy to ignore mine and at least 5 other EV drivers repeated in-person requests of the property to enforce their own parking policy. When mgmt failed us by telling a group of us EV drivers "This is our private property so we don't have to follow State law that prohibits blocking chargers.", I tried to personally appeal to the common courtesy of 3 of the Lambo employees. But apparently those Italians don't respect the "When in Rome" etiquette? Around sunset, AutoCamp mgmt got tired of being asked to do the right thing because they parked their own pickup truck to further block their own EV guests' access to the EV chargers which the property brags about providing. That childish action also blocked in one Tesla that managed to get access to a charger. Then they tried to claim their Tesla chargers weren't working by putting garbage bags over them with homemade labels that said "Out of Order". But of course the green ready lights showed thru to reveal their lies. BTW Lamborghini calls these ugly $300k soccer-mom, crossovers "Urs." As in "Up Urs!" Zion Auto Camp?
