Savannah Chopped Salad and Veggie Spud.

I like this McAlister's. Food: Obviously, the menu is nearly the same as you would fine at any other, but they execute well. Whether Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich, Savannah Chopped Salad, or Black Angus Roast Beef Giant Spud (I'll echo the GIANT part), I like it all. Gluten-free options for Therese H. is a great thing, too. Staff: I've ordered from the app, and the order is always ready, correct, and on time. I've been there maybe a half-dozen times, and always get a friendly greeting as I open the door. Once, a staff member opened the door for me. Sure, you can give staff training about this sort of thing. But to execute consistently is impressive. Site: I like the seating area, and think they've made good use of their location in a relatively new business development, with a nicely shaded outdoor seating area protected from the elements. Thanks, McAlister's.

Delivery service was through a 3rd party-went wrong. Store Manager Bryce went the extra mile and made everything right and then some!!! Food was great!! Restaurant Customer Service was awesome!!!

    Crispy jalapeños turkey sandwich

I normally try to stay away from chains when I review a business. This review is about a sandwich, not the establishment. There is a new sandwich on the menu that if they take it off, I will hesitate to go back. What I'm talking about is the crispy jalapeño turkey sandwich. Do you remember being a kid in the summer and putting chips on your bologna sandwich? Well this is the equivalent. OMG yall. The flavor. Texture. Volume of meat and did I mention flavor? Why are you still reading this. Run and get one.

Roast beef spud and the club sandwich

McAllister's is always a good choice if you're in the mood for a sandwich. In particular, I'm a fan of their spuds: massive baked potatoes loaded up with good stuff. The portions are fairly large (especially the spuds) and everything comes out quickly. The menu is huge so there really is something for everyone, and so far I've enjoyed everything I've tried. Our location is always busy but there are plenty of tables and everything is kept clean.

I absolutely love McAlister's!!! I will advice not to go on a Saturday afternoon around lunch time. I went to the drive thru and it took 30 mins for me to get my food. I ordered a sweet tea and their Southwest chicken & avacodo salad. So delicious!!!!

    Roast beef Reuben w sauerkraut
    Ethel C.

Really clean tasting Reuben, roast beef was not overly salty at all, and good helping of sauerkraut. Would not recommend the veggie wrap. It was just a wrap of raw veggies like cucumber and tomatoes and lettuce..some roasted bell peppers, and thousand island ish sauce. No extra preparation, no thought... Service is really fast and friendly!

What we ordered and payed for (mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce in a deep dish pizza crust)..............

Making it a great place to stop by when paying your property taxes, or when you're doing your jury duty. I'm glad to see that they are a proud server of Plaid Coffee. So many other shops use the same local roaster or one from St. Louis, so it is nice to see that they give us a Scottish touch roasted in small batches. I enjoyed an iced coffee. When I drink hot coffee, I drink it black. However, when it is iced, I need a little packet of Splenda and a splash of milk. To accompany my iced coffee, I enjoyed a Mini Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread. I was torn between a blueberry danish, blueberry muffin and the mini bread. When I asked the cashier for guidance, he recommended the pumpkin bread because it was a seasonal special. He said, the other two were always available and could enjoy them on another visit. To be honest, the mini Pumpkin Bread with Chocolate Chips did not impress me. I found it to be dry and the pumpkin flavor was faint, but it was chuck full of chocolate chips. Next time I'm at the courthouse paying the next installment of property taxes, I'll stop by again and try one of the blueberry treats. I think I may even grab one of the loaves of bread they had on sale.

When I saw they had hot honey and pepperoni paired together on a 8" pizza, I instantly knew that was one of my choices. The fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheeses paired with the hot honey and pepperoni exploded with flavor. My only disappointment was the inner crust. The outer rim crust was very crispy, but the inner was soft and limp due to the excessive grease from the flavorful pepperoni. I guess that is something I just need to deal with for a tasty lunch pizza. My other choice was, the Apple Gorgonzola Salad. Wow. Double Wow! This has to be the best salad I have ever had. It was a delightful mix of, spinach, granny smith apple, gorgonzola, sun-dried cranberries, candied pecans, all topped with a delicious maple cider vinaigrette. I will be back for the large version and a glass of Pino Grigio as a dinner. As my usual, I sat at the bar. My adult beverage of choice, was a Peel Summer Lager. I may be going back to fill my growler, for the upcoming holiday weekend. The restaurant has a contemporary feel, but the acoustics make it a loud environment. I didn't mind the laughter and loud conversations, it was the yelling and crying toddlers that made me cringe. Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed watching the bartenders use their mixologist skills preparing all the cocktails. It pleased me to see they offer "hooks under the bar". That's a small detail that makes me smile.

However, the people of Edwardsville still love Teaspoons, because it was packed. Things that disappointed me on my last visit that made me decide to take a star away: They are now serving Kaldi's Coffee a STL roaster. I think it is a shame that they are not supporting one of the many local roasters on the Illinois side of the river. Was disappointed that their iced coffee lids were not sip lids. I prefer them, because I am not a fan of straws. I know some people need or prefer straws, but I like the option of not using one. Save the Turtles. Biggest disappointment was my food. I ordered the Breakfast Platter. My scrambled eggs were fluffy and hot and made fresh. They were very good. The English Muffin was also good. It was obvious it was freshly toasted, because the whipped butter spread and melted easily. The disappointments were the bacon and potatoes. Both were cold and tough. It was obvious that both sides were prepared ahead of time. The bacon did have good flavor, but it was chewy and rubbery. My potatoes were on the burnt side of preparation and cold and chewy like the bacon. Damn, when I've ordered this before it was good, not this time. I will at least say, the service and customer service is still good and consistent with what I've had before. Which actually saved them from getting two stars.
