This place was horrible. We drove from about 3 hours from St. Louis and I was expecting better. Not a good atmosphere. NOTICE: If you don't like your order, they will not make it right. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with tapioca. First, the milk or tea itself tasted like it had gone bad. Second, the tapioca was so undercooked, it was still hard. The food is mediocre at best and takes forever to arrive. It's also very inconsistent. U get some okay good every now and then, but don't count on it the next time you're ordering the same thing. The bubble tea here is mediocre at best. Whenever I've gone, the tapioca has been undercooked in the middle, leaving it all grainy. The tea is also perversely sweet, giving Pepsi a run for its money. On top of the lowish-quality bubble tea, the service has also been pretty slow. I most recently ended up waiting about 15 minutes to get to the register and another 5 to get the not-so-good bubble tea. Love this place, I come for their milk tea as often as I can. It's small and doesn't have much indoor room, but right now everything is blocked off really well. I live nearby and it's a great place to hang out with friends after school. Bubble Tea is one of my favorite drinks, I usually drink this as an alternative to desert. St. Louis bubble Tea, located in the Delmar Loop is a great location to stop by, if you're in the area and grab a glass of bubble tea from their humongous selection of drinks, smoothies, etc from the menu. Prices are fair, friendly service. Every time I am in the Delmar Loop, at one of the restaurants or for whatever reason I make sure to stop at "St. Louis Bubble Tea" to get me one of their bubble tea off the menu. read more

So today I was taking my daughter for a stroll around the Loop. It was a nice day, cloudy, and then all of a sudden it starts raining. So we ended up ducking in here to get out of the rain. Since I like bubble tea I decided to order something. They offer several menu boards full of items and it took me a bit to figure out what I wanted. They had tea, hot drinks, cold drinks, snow, lots of stuff. The store was relatively quiet and I was the only one in line so when I told the person behind the counter it would take me a bit he told me to take my time in a very friendly way. He could of easily been annoyed, might of been keeping him from something else, but it was nice about it. I did decide on the mango slush which was wonderful. When I order it, the same guy behind the counter poured me a little sample without me even asking for it and said, "Try it, see if you like it." I did, was nice and cold, sweet, and mango-y. He commented on the stroller, said he had a kid himself, and we had a nice little conversation while he filled the order. Pretty much as soon as I sat down to enjoy it, it stopped raining, so I got back to strolling. But thank you sir for the great mango slush and your great customer service. Prices seem great until you find out it is extra to add boba to the 'boba tea'. Other than that tried some new twists on my old standards. I got a taro pudding boba tea...I think it would have been better if it was blended. Hubby got his old standby and said it tasted fine. New Year's Day, 1-1-19, my wife and I were craving a hot soup and thought of this location. Our experience was perfect, as was the soup, tea, and service. Our host at the counter was friendly and efficient, and offered good suggestions and advice, as well. We dined in, enjoying a hot tea ("this tea is really good") and bubble tea with our meal. I first discovered bubble tea when my friend brought me back a plum snow. The boba may be an acquired taste to those with texture problems but now I can never get enough. What's so great about this place is the atmosphere, flavor choices, and the food. You'd think that for a place that advertises as a drinks establishment the food would just be an afterthought--it's totally not! Some of my favorites include the fried dumplings, vegetarian egg rolls, braised chicken, and beef with broccoli. The perfect place to go for a tasty meal and a tastier drink! Beware! Some of the flavors can be VERY sweet. Two beefs I have with this restaurant: 1) Most of the times I've been here there have only been three people working at most. My wife and I always have to stop here if we are on the Loop. She gets Jasmine Milk Tea and I get the Honeydew Milk Tea (both with extra Bobas!) They Mango snow is awesome in the Summer months. I would have given 5 stars but they changed the size of their Bobas last year. They used to fill up the big straws now they are a little smaller. You get the same amount but the texture is a little different. I understand they did this because people said they like the smaller bobas, just wish they offered a choice between the two. The only thing that was disappointing was the service I received. The staff was less than helpful when I asked a question, and again when I asked for a drink suggestion. Cooking is too slow. I wait a simple fired rice for 40 minutes while no one is waiting ahead of me.

So we came to this place thinking we would get some good boba milked tea. They have a long list of flavors, but there is NO USE because it's basically order at your own risk. We wanted to try the mango, and when I asked the server if we could try it, he said no, and then when I said what if I don't like it, he just shrugged his shoulders and pointed to a sign that says something to the effect of all sales are final. And, although the menu appears impressive, out of the 4 things I asked for, only two were available. Anyway, if you decide to go and waste money, then that's your decision. Otherwise I saw another restaurant down the street that also serves boba tea- I would suggest trying that out. Hopefully the owners there will know how to treat customers, and realize that people don't know what the weird teas taste like. Also- food takes forever to come out. You'll be done with your drink by the time the food comes out, so not sure how people would feel about that. And tables were filthy. Overall- would NOT go here again ! read more

A lot of people seem to like this place. Me? It's ok, but I've had better. I'm a fruit lover so my boba drinks will lean more towards the sweet side. This place doesn't use fresh fruits which is why I am not too impressed with this place. It satisfies the short term craving for boba in St. Louis but doesn't really leave too much of a long lasting impression with me. However, if I am in St. Louis, this would be the place I go to if I REALLY needed a boba drink. In all honesty and to put it bluntly, the Asians here who have been to Chicago and have tried Joy Yee's will probably prefer Joy Yee's to this place ANY day! Why? Because they have more variety, fresh ingredients, and they use real fruit. If you're white, this will really depend on your taste bud whether you'll like this place or not and depending on how much you love diversity - drinking and chewing boba at the same time doesn't appeal to many people. As some context, I'm California based and spend time in Taiwan so I've definitely become spoiled over the years in terms of boba spots. I was really glad to hear about this place as I visit St. Louis a couple time of years and made it a point to try this place out. In a nutshell, they have a decent selection of drinks and snacks. Were the drinks mind-blowing? No, but it was good and a nice reminder of my "other life." The food was OK, but not great. Again, I was appreciative of the familiarity and it was a nice escape during the cold winter. Food and service probably warrant a three, but it gets an extra star for adding to St. Louis culture and I had a pleasant experience. I'll definitely be back in the future. BTW, hopefully they fixed the lock to the bathroom. Despite knocking on the door I twice walked in on a woman sitting on the toilet (she didn't respond, but I don't think she spoke English either). Was worried about my boba fix when I moved here from California. There was a place In central west end, but it became a bar and then I found this place! I've tried most of the flavors and they're all pretty good! I love taro, green tea, jasmine tea and passion fruit. Their boba is good as is the drink. I called in to order food/drinks to go, after I was done ordering I was told my order would be ready in 15-20 mins. HOWEVER, when I arrived 35 mins later, my order wasn't ready! I ordered 4 drinks and 2 orders of the crispy chicken. I came, paid for my order, BUT had to wait another 10 mins for my drinks to be made. My crispy chicken was already done but they didn't keep it warm. The place was not packed, there was no line at all. This was the 2nd time I did the call in order. I figured I'd give them another chance since the first time i called in, they were very busy, but then again shouldn't your order be ready at the time they specify???! I even gave them an extra 15 mins and my order was not ready!! What a shame! What's the point in calling in and ordering ahead of time??!
