As with the first rotted post, which Ergeon replaced while the fence was still under warranty last year, the concrete footing appears not to have been properly sloped to shed water. This post is located in an area that gets wet only when it rains, yet it has still rotted. The problem appears to be a defect in the original installation, exactly like the post approximately eight feet away that Ergeon replaced under warranty. Ergeon's subcontractors may work quickly, but my fence suggests that speed does not translate into quality workmanship. When I contacted Ergeon, I was told the post was outside the warranty period. When I expressed my disappointment that Ergeon would not take responsibility for what appears to be an installation defect, I was then told that Ergeon no longer replaces individual posts and instead replaces entire fence panels. Perhaps that policy is intended to discourage customers from pursuing relatively minor repairs. It certainly seems like a convenient way to turn a defective post into a much larger repair at the customer's expense. I politely declined to pay for an unnecessary full-panel replacement. A few weeks later, I received a message from Juan asking whether I was available between 1 pm and 3 pm on August 5 for an Ergeon representative to address the post. I replied that I was surprised to hear from him after previously being told that Ergeon would replace only the entire panel. I confirmed that I was available and asked for additional information about the work. No response. I followed up again this morning. Still no response. One o'clock came and went. Then three o'clock. No representative arrived, and no one contacted me. Ergeon appears to rely on a seemingly endless supply of new customers rather than supporting the customers it already has. That's a remarkably shortsighted business model. Most residential properties have at least three fenced sides. A customer who hires Ergeon to install one section of fencing could easily return for the remaining sections, provided the company delivers quality work and stands behind it. There's also the matter of referrals. After my fence was installed, a handful of neighbors asked for Ergeon's contact information. I've since told my neighbors that, Ergeon may not be the best choice for a fence installation - based on my experience. I hope this review gives you a healthy warning about Ergeon. It may not affect Ergeon's bottom line, but prospective customers deserve to know how the company handles apparent installation defects, warranty concerns, and scheduled service visits that simply don't happen.

To this day the access road gate still sags and is difficult to open and close. A few years ago they came and built some VERY expensive simple walkway gates and an access road gate. The first thing I said is I need them to be pool code because we were saving to build a pool. The walkway gates were in the area of $900. Time after time the walkway gate would not close on its own and, in my opinion was poorly built. I do appreciate them coming to try and fix them but ultimately could not. I've had to cut some pieces to get the lock to have enough space it would close. I would not recommend them as they could solve a simple gate not closing.

Their supposed lead showed up multiple times seemingly intoxicated and was extremely aggressive with the working staff. The appointment gets rescheduled to Friday afternoon, and they called to cancel the same day as the appointment saying they forgot they had another project. I had a gate built. I put a new latch in the contract and…read morethey did not have the correct one upon arrival. I had to make a run and pick one up. I was only compensated for the cost of the latch. Zero compensation for my time and gas taking care of something Top Rail Fence was supposed to do per our contract. They Split/Ripped boards instead of just gapping them a little bit as to not have to Rip any boards. The difference between "Good" & "Great" is just that much. Gate looks pretty good functions well, the ripped boards bother my eyes every time I see it. Lets see how well it holds up. I will update post if needed.
