I visited this coffee shop for an art show. It was my first time being at any Summit Coffee location so I'm not sure how it is on an every day basis but [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the artsy vibe that day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That particular day, I had a bad experience at another coffee shop after wasting money on an iced latte that was horrid. When I walked into Summit, I said to the barista, look I can't take another bad coffee, do I have to tell you I want it sweet in order to get an iced latte that isn't bitter? The barista took the time to speak with me regarding my experience and share how Summit makes their coffee and syrups. She even let me sample one. That resulted in a great experience as I purchased the enjoyable Birthday Cake Summit Special ($6.60). While this shop is far from my residence, I definitely will go back whenever I'm in the area. read more

Positive note: no extra charge for milk alternatives (almond and oat). I came on a weekday morning and had no problem finding a park spot in front. I ordered quickly. Service was friendly and efficient. I got a large chai latte and peppermint tea which came out to about $10. The chai was ok.. it's a store bought mix that is on the sweeter and more mild side. I probably would not get this again and would order an espresso based latte instead (only because I like a strong chai and it's hard to adjust the flavor of a premade mix). My sister , niece and I decided to check this spot out on a Sunday afternoon. The coffee shop is located in a small plaza in a cute neighborhood . They have a dedicated free parking lot with what appears to be ample parking spots. However, my Neice did order a fall special that was some sort of blueberry drink. She took a sip and said wow that's good. She insisted that I try it , and I have to say they nailed it ! The blueberry flavor was present! I also did try the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. I asked if they were made in house . I was told yes, and made daily. The muffin was good . This is one of my favorite coffee shops in town. Period! It is centrally located in a shopping plaza with its own free parking lot. Staff members are absolutely amazing, especially the manager who always has a great attitude and smile. The menu offers quite a few options of hot and cold drinks and pastries. My wife and I had dirty chai lattes and the glazed croissant and almost had a heart attack from how delicious they were. Great experience! I had a gift card so I thought I would go check it out. The staff was all very friendly. I went around noon on a Saturday and I didn't need to wait at all. It would be the perfect place to work remote as it was a very chill vibe. There was also outdoor porch seating. Parking is in the back and I didn't have a problem finding a spot. The latte I got was delicious! I wanted a bagel as they get them from Poppys (the best !!!) but they were out for the day- understandable since I didn't get there until noon. I got the trailblazer bar and it was amazing!!!!!!! Seemed healthy with lots of grains, seeds, and blueberries. They had a case with other baked goods too. I will definitely be back. read more

I am so pumped about this new Summit location on the east side!!! I came in and worked from here for the afternoon, and I couldn't have had a better experience. The staff are kind, the space is beautiful (love the underground warehouse-y vibe and green accents), and there is tons of seating for both work and relaxation. Speaking of work, they even have a printer by the water/coffee additions station - never seen that at a coffee shop! As for their menu offerings, I was super impressed - not only do they have the standard coffee shop drinks available, but they also have tons of beers on tap, chilled wines and snacks in the cooler, and a huge spread of fresh baked goods. Yum! I am excited to come back when the weather is slightly cooler and bring my pup to sit on their nice two-story patio (saw a big water bowl for dogs out there - love that). My favorite part of my weekly morning routine is coming to summit coffee after run club. Summit is an amazing company that is always taking care of the community. I love that they open their doors to the morning run club so that we can drip sweat and quench our thirst after a humid run. They don't even mind! It's a sweet spot that is a very cool - A/C and ambiance, lots of examples in the photos of furniture and local art. The staff are always mad cool and they put on the sickest playlists every morning. They're also incredibly kind and accommodating. Some other favorites, I know there's more, you can use alternative milk NO EXTRA CHARGE, and you can bring your own coffee mug and straw for your delicious drink. I love that they have seasonal drinks available too - their marketing materials are so aesthetic - and it's not just about aesthetics though, it also tastes delicious. I love that they foster community by donating back and their really vibrant community board. Looking forward to some other yummy drink concoctions and more good vibes. Lovely spot to get some work done! There's ample seating both inside and out (I love the inside booth seating...there's even pillows for some back support!). There's nice ceramic cups for dine-in customers (eco-friendly!)..and it makes you feel a little more homey while doing your work. The coffee is great but, the music selection puts this spot over the top. I'm typically an "earbud-in" person at coffee spots but they play a nice mix of Sade, Lauren Hill, etc and it's the perfect work music, to me. This is one of our absolute favorite coffee shops in Charlotte. Not only does their ground coffee have a permanent residence in our home, we love to visit for the amazing atmosphere and super friendly staff. As if their coffees, teas, and homemade sodas aren't enough, they also have an amazing run club every Tuesday morning that I highly suggest (even if you're not a big runner like me)! It is at 6:30am Tuesday morning. Do yourself a favor and stop in! I suggest adding one of their amazing homemade syrups to whatever choice you go with.
