Dr. Lowman and her staff are phenomenal. I've had several sensitive dental issues that had to be resolved and for someone who has been deathly afraid of dentists, they made me feel so comfortable. They consistently checked on my comfort level and used the latest, most innovative techniques that resolved all of my dental problems. Dr. Lowman goes to classes once a year to learn what the latest tools, techniques and pain mgt. that is available. They are so kind, I can't stress that enough, incredibly kind. Fist of all I never thought I'd be writing a review after leaving the dentist office however I am compelled to after the experience I just had. Dr Lowman has always been amazing, thorough and helpful to my girls and I. This review however is in regards to Hana, a dental Hygienist. Not sure if it's Hanna, or Hana. Nonetheless I'm that guy that's stopped everything with his face his whole life and flosses maybe once a week. I hadn't been in for a cleaning since Nov 2023 and I knew I'd probably get a talking to. When Hana came out to the lobby to bring me back she immediately made me feel comfortable despite me never having met her before. She laid me back in her chair and got to work, all while educating me on the process. She really explained the science behind healthy teeth and gums to me, in a way nobody ever has and that actually makes me want to maintain them the way I know I should. Sure there was some pain, but none that wasn't deserved. It's hard to explain in words, but Hana really exceeded my expectations, she's a definite asset to Dr Lowman's office and I hope she never leaves! read more

I've been going to this office for about 10 years now. My Mom and Husband also go to this dental office. I NEVER EVER had any negative experience here. From the front desk (her name is Samantha if I remember correctly), office manager Toddie, Stacy (Dr Lowman's dental assistant , yes her name is Stacy too) and Dr Lowman herself. Every visit was always very pleasant and feels like visiting a long time friend. That's how great she made each patients feel. She'll make you feel welcomed and give you the best service possible. She ALWAYS gave me the best recommendation for the good of my teeth and not because she wants you to spends the money for all of the extra service in her office. I asked for my teeth to get whitened, but she refused. Because she knew that I would be too sensitive after the procedures. I also asked recommendations for veneer, and again she refused because my teeth are in good condition and she doesn't want to jeopardize the integrity of my teeth. I've had bad experiences with other dental office, where fillings only lasted 1 year. That never happened with all of the fillings that was done in this office. Every single work that Dr Lowman did was great, and I've gotten couple crowns that lasted me quite a bit (I chose the porcelain type, that has shorter life span yet they've lasted). She had also gave me the best referral, whether it's for my kids pediatric dentist or for my tooth that needs internal bleaching (due to the root canal that I did in a different office prior to Dr Lowman). I've been withholding myself to write a review because I tried to keep her to myself and not wanting to share her with the world. But when I went here and see some negative reviews towards her, I feel the need to set the records straight. It's been a while since I went in for my dental review and teeth cleaning. I've been going to UCLA for the past 5 years. Considered to be some of the best in the business. I was hesitant to make a change until I read her reviews. I was greeted by a wonderful a pleasant staff. More than will to accommodate my needs. This is a very well run and caring group of professionals. She's a wonderful person to have a dentist. With all the work I've had done over the years. It's very difficult to have trust in a new provider. The fact she is right in my back yard, and I don't have to drive an hour to UCLA is huge. So when I called to set up the appointment, I had to set it two months out, because they were very busy and need two hours for and initial visit. I thought the two hours was excessive and I was going to be doing a lot of waiting. Not at all! We did x-rays and they were very quick about it. And then Stacy Loman came in, she was amazing. She went over everything X-ray and we were able to talk about what was going on with my teeth. Cindy the hygienist, came in and did a great cleaning! Had lots of tartar buildup, that she was very detailed about getting the tarter out of my mouth! I was out of there in under two hours. There was no waiting they were just very detailed. I've been an avid Yelper for a couple of years now, but I had been holding out on writing 'My First Review' until I stumbled upon a business truly deserving of the full 5 stars. After my first appointment with Stacey back in December I knew this place had to be it - for a DENTIST of all people. All I can say is WOW, this woman actually makes you want to learn everything about what's going on in your mouth, and leaves you with the knowledge and tools to optimize your dental health. I thought I had a decent dentist up in Northern California, but after my initial visit with her, I couldn't believe how mistaken I was. First off, the dental hygienist - who's name is failing me - was super personable and knowledgeable. She gave me a big comfy blanket and we chatted about mountain biking in between X-Rays. This was my first visit with Stacey, so what I thought would be a regular 1-hour cleaning was actually a 2-hour 'orientation', with X-Rays & thorough explanations & examinations - but I was happy to be there. I'm the type to ask questions about everything just for the sake of learning, and Stacey was more than happy to oblige in explaining everything from fluoride to cavity formation to soft-bristled toothbrushes. I had no idea Medium or Hard bristles could be so detrimental, and I am now an avid flosser, not just one of those "Yeah, I floss!" patients. The experience was wonderful, which sounds almost silly for a dentist visit. Even though I came out of there with impending follow-up for for 2 cavity fillings, I was thrilled to find such a great dental team, and I'm looking forward to my upcoming cleaning in June. read more

I was so lucky to find this amazing place. I have been overdue for dental work and had a wonderful experience every visit. The whole office is friendly and... even getting shots in my mouth wasn't absolutely terrible with Nikole making me laugh the whole time:) They called me to fill last minute cancellations twice and have a wonderful team all around. You can tell that everyone really cares about their work and enjoy being there. You can't ask for a nicer dentist than Dr. Lowman! She takes her time with each exam and evaluates each tooth, she even does a oral cancer screening once a year. She is very conservative and will watch a tooth if she feels that the tooth can wait with treatment. She is highly educated but explains things in ways that anyone can understand. THE BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD! I neglected to have any dental work done because of my anxiety. I was terrified walking in to this office, but Dr Lowman and her staff did EVERYTHING in their power to put me at ease! I finally found my new dental office! The staff here are very caring and professional. Dr. Lowman gave me the most detailed exam of my teeth that I have ever had. In the past I've gone to dentists for a cleaning and they say I need "$2000 worth of work" which is a complete lie...not here, Dr. Lowman showed me in real time on their beautiful monitors the real condition of each tooth, and came up with no issues other than the ones I already knew I had. Dr Loman is great! By far the most fantastic in depth exam i have ever had. Her staff is friendly and my cleaning was top notch. I will be returning! The only reason i can't give 5 stars is because the appointments book out MONTHS in advance and there is very little wiggle room. If you need to reschedule its back to the end of the line. (which i suppose is fair but frustrating for busy professionals that have to learn to live on the fly!) Overall, if your looking for a dentist i would say look no further.. she is awesome! read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lowman's office last week and I was very pleased with my visit. My teeth were cleaned by Nicole and she did a great job. She was thorough, careful, and gentle. She made sure I was never in any pain. My teeth have never been cleaner. Dr. Musser, Dr. Lowman's associate, was my dentist that day. She explained things to me very clearly. She showed me a cavity that was possibly overlooked by my previous dentist. She is very knowledgeable, kind, thorough, and personable. My 10 year old daughter also had her first appointment with Dr. Lowman's office last week but a few days after mine. She is always very apprehensive when going to the dentist. Nicole also cleaned my daughter's teeth. Nicole was very patient and gentle with my daughter. This is the first time my daughter had a thorough cleaning since all the previous dentists said everything was fine. I really appreciated the extra effort Nicole made in order to make my daughter comfortable. I also got the chance to meet Dr. Lowman. She is so down to earth and easy to talk to. She is very genuine and even though it was my first time meeting her, it was just like talking to an old friend. She takes the time to talk to you and you can tell she really cares for her patients. I never thought I'd ever be writing a review, let alone a positive one, for a dentist, but Dr. Stacey Lowman deserves some recognition. To give you an idea of why I will be singing her praises, below, let me give you an idea of who i am: a grown-ass adult who has had BAD, BAD experiences with every dentist she's ever gone to, and is petrified of the dentist, even for a cleaning. The only way i could handle the dentist before was with a xanax and a special "cocktail" the dentist would give me. Now all that has changed with Dr. Lowman! Now onto the good stuff: I went for a cleaning and checkup. Dr. Lowman's office is impeccable, modern, and professional. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted by friendly faces and are immediately put at ease. Let's be honest, who REALLY likes going to the dentist (other than those weirdos that love it)? It makes all the difference in the world that Dr. Lowman and her entire staff are not only friendly, but take the time and have the patience to explain everything they are doing. The office is equipped with the most modern and advanced dental technology which I was "wow-ed" by, and you are able to see close-up photographs of your teeth as they are taken and x-rays as they are done. Dr Lowman takes the time to explain everything that shows up or doesn't show up on the xrays/photographs, and really gives you a sense of control when you are in a vulnerable situation like the dentist's office! I honestly would give Dr. Lowman 10 stars if i could, and I would highly recommend her (even though she's a Bruin!) to every phobic and terrified dental patient out there. They have digital X-ray which appears instantly on the computer screen in front of you as you sit in "the chair". Virginia at the front desk "IS" the meaning of 5 STAR customer service! It's true what everyone is saying on here - they're amazing. I've needed what I consider a lot of work in the last 9 months, with probably a grand total of 8 or 9 visits total, and every time they've been friendly, helpful, easy to schedule/work with. I couldn't ask for more from any business. My dentist of 30 years retired and referred me to Dr. Lowman. A few of his staff members also moved to her practice. When I go in for appointments I'm always greeted by name and treated as though I'm part of the family. Dr. Lowman and her staff are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate. Unfortunately, I need a lot of dental work this year, including referrals to oral surgeons. She's not only concerned about what happens in her practice, but is very specific who she refers her patients to and wants a follow-up of their referral experience. As someone who took many years to get over my fear of dentistry, part of me actually looks forward to my visits. This is the WORST dental office!!! We recently moved from TN and my young daughter had a dental emergency. Since we haven't had time to find a dentist, I chose this dentist due to the good reviews on Yelp. While they tried to fit us in, it was not in timely manner. Once we had an appointment and arrived at the scheduled time I was told the dentist had started on another patient and could not see my daughter who had a cracked tooth and was in severe pain. The front office said it was my fault for not arriving early to fill out paperwork and the dentist needed to take her scheduled break and couldn't even look at my daughter. I have never had service like this. I can't begin to tell you how disappointing this office is and should not be in business due to the horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and find a dental office that understands and is accommodating...not one that refuses service to see a child that is in pain because you failed to arrive EARLY for your appointment!!! We were on time...keep in mind I had pulled my daughter out of school to make the appointment and then told they couldn't see us and wouldn't fit her in because the dentist needed her scheduled 30 minute break!!! Fortunately after being told by this office they would NOT see my child I found another dentist who would at Dr. Chirco's office in Los Alamitos. They said they would see my daughter immediately because they didn't want her to be in pain!!! That is customer service...do yourself a favor and find a dentist that doesn't need scheduled breaks in place of taking care of patients in pain. read more

I just got back from my first appointment with Dr. Lowman and I felt compelled to write a review. Everything about this place is wonderful. Virginia at the front desk was very helpful and patient with me while I tried to figure out my insurance coverage and with scheduling my appointment. My dental hygienist, Cindy, walked me through what she was doing and explained why. I really appreciate her detailed and honest explanations. The cleaning and x rays were also done with care and expertise. She was personable and made me feel at ease throughout the entire visit. Dr. Lowman was kind and friendly as well. She seems like a genuine good person and cares about her patients health throughout their lives. She made sure to explain everything to me as well during her part of the check up. I asked several questions and she spent a lot of time giving me the information I was looking for. She is an exceptional dentist and I'm so glad my teeth are in her care. Our dentist recently retired and his replacement does not work with our insurance. I found Dr. Lowman on our approved list and her office is very close to our home. Wow! I've never had such a thorough tooth check in my life. She immediately pointed out that I was clenching my teeth and that was the reason for some intermittent pain. She and her office staff are kind, caring, and extremely competent. The whole family has been there now and everyone is extremely impressed with Dr. Lowman and her staff.
