Every once in a while you really do believe in angels among us! Wow, Stacie completely bailed us in a tough situation. At the conclusion of my son's wedding ceremony my new daughter in law came to my wife panicked and said the catering service informed her they couldn't provide the desert, it's was supposed to be part of the gig! She was shaken. My wife said "don't worry, I'll figure something out." As we drove from the ceremony my wife googled wedding cakes and came across Stacie's. She called and explained the situation and Stacie assured her she would take care of it. We ordered custom cupcakes on the way to the reception and Stacie filled the order, like in under 30 minutes...ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON!!! No kidding. And the cupcakes were amazing! Everyone loved them. And they were affordable, no extra charges. We were blown away and of course nobody at the reception was any the wiser! Absolutely the best cupcakes I've had but unfortunately the customer service is horrible. No one ever answers the phone or responds to emails appropriately. I walked in to place an order for 2D cupcakes for a birthday party and was told to contact the manager for confirmation so after a week of waiting to hear from her I received an email that they don't do 2D cupcakes anymore. Strange when the receptionist showed me the 2D cupcakes she just finished making when I originally walked in to place the order. Very personable and welcoming was she. I felt like I had come to a friends for a visit. I called ahead so knew a little about what she offered and had on hand. A small special occasion Gluten Free treat is what I sought. She had just made some fresh GF chocolate cupcakes and had a great vanilla buttercream frosting to top them with. It was my daughter and son in-laws 4th anniversary. I also got carrot and red velvet cupcakes topped with a solid cream cheese frosting.These cakes were just the right texture, not to dense but not so light that they don't satisfy. And the frosting was also perfection. Worth every darn little calorie I am sure was packed in there. Sorry my photos do not even come close to the depth of deliciousness. I didn't get one of the chocolate cupcake but was told it didn't give evidence of being Gluten Free. Oh and I love the individual cupcake packaging. Protective and cute. read more

Stacy and Kevin are absolutely the Best. My daughter got married this September Stacie's did the rehearsal dinner, wedding cake and the buffet at the wedding. They went above and beyond to make things perfect. My daughter wanted a certain cake that was suppose to be done with fondant icing but she hates fondant. Stacy came up with a frosting that looked like fondant but was butter cream. It was delicious. The guest said it was some of the best food they had eaten. Staciy did the cake and cupcakes for our wedding (350+ people!) and did a phenomenal job. We had all kinds of flavors we wanted for the cupcakes (Spice, chocolate with peanut-butter, lemon with raspberry filling), which was only complicated by the fact that my wife is dairy-free. Staci went above and beyond putting together custom samples of everything in dairy and dairy-free varieties for my wife so that she could taste for herself and not just take my word for it (this alone was worth it!). Staci delivered everything and attended to the setup and presentation. It couldn't have turned out better. My wife and I had been to several weddings before, and many since, and not one has had a cake that tasted even close to as good as Staci's. Now that she has a shop in Post Falls AND CDA it should give more people an excuse to get in on the action. I'm sure she'd do a terrific job with cakes and cupcakes for any occasion, but she is definitely the best we've seen up here for anything wedding-related. Two thumbs up! read more

This place is on a different level there are good cakes great cakes and then there is the bring a tear to your eye why have I not had this before Stacie cake. If you think I'm crazy come get some cup cakes while you decide your next big event or small event or just decide to throw a third Thursday of the month event so your wife will let you have another. I found Stacie's on YELP & after reading the reviews & viewing the Facebook page, I stopped by to make a purchase. I ordered an assortment of filled cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. I asked for a spiced cupcake with Apple filling ...just for me. Good to taste what your buying for your customers... right .... That's my excuse. Wow... Moist, full of flavor...so very fresh !!! I bake & decorate cakes as a hobby, so while the owner, Stacie piped the filling & frosting on my order of cupcakes, we talked about baking, use of fondant, the cupcake flavors, etc... In our short visit it was as though I was a regular customer that stopped by weekly. Stacie made me feel like I was a friend she's known for years. We stopped in on a whim to pick up a few cupcakes for a person having a birthday and an elopement wedding ceremony. As we had never been to Stacie's before, we tried one of the cupcakes ourselves: vanilla with huckleberry filling and cream cheese frosting. OMG! It was absolutely fabulous. After one bite, we were in love! So moist with a tight crumb. The use of quality ingredients really shined through. These were also a phenomenal value, easily beating anything we have had at specialty cupcake stores for more than double the price. Staci made the cake and cupcakes for my sons wedding. It was a small wedding and put together in a very short time as he is in the Air Force and we only had a few weeks notice of when his leave would be. The bride choose chocolate with raspberry filling for the cake top, then cupcakes in the same flavor plus chocolate with cream filling and vanilla with custard filling. Everyone raved on how good their were and she did a beautiful job of decorating them and displaying them at the wedding. I will be going to Staci again for my cake needs. read more

I attended a country wedding this weekend that was catered by Stacies Cakes. The best I can say is the cupcakes were very good. Unfortunately it was not a great day for an outdoor wedding, but it was made worse by the fact they were almost 2 hours late arriving at the location, the wedding was over and guest were returning to the reception site. We were looking for hot food and coffee, but it was not to be. One could almost forgive the late arrival if there had been any communication to the wedding planner, the brides mother, to let her know there was a problem. Repeated calls went unanswered, totally unforgivable. Upon arrival there was no sign of apology or regret. There was an additional delay while they found serving utensils and went for more coffee, who knows where. The food, by the time we were served was unremarkable; the servers appeared to be bored and the man in the chef's jacket looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. I don't live in the area so looked online for a bakery to make a cake for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. Not knowing cake decorating terminology nor knowing exactly what I wanted, when I called and spoke with Christine she was patient and helpful, asking questions, listening, then offering suggestions, guiding my choice of a two-layer 8 & 6 cake for 50 people - chocolate cake with both chocolate fudge and Bavarian cream filling (uh huh!) on the bottom in honor of my chocoholic mother, and vanilla cake with huckleberry filling as the top layer, all covered in white fondant that, as promised, actually tasted good. Fresh flowers were included in the cost where another highly rated bakery quoting an already substantially higher price told me I would need to supply the flowers if I wanted fresh ones. I sent a wedding photo to be copied onto fondant as part of the decoration on top. Stacie followed up with me several times, making recommendations to improve the initial plan. On the day of the party when we spoke, she told me she placed the wedding photo on the side rather than the top, saying it improved the presentation. She also said she was tossing in additional lemon-flavored cupcakes, concerned there wouldn't be enough to go around once everyone got a taste of the cake. Stacie knows what she's talking about! I, my family, and our guests could not get over how beautiful the cake was, as well as how great it tasted. Perfect! I cannot recommend Stacies Cakes enough! read more
