From the previous photos of this yelp page, this Star Wars Launch Bay seems to be open to the public in the past offering an attraction I believe. Nonetheless, it is now a private event that serves catering when the sun goes down. I believe in the morning, it is a lounge for the people who bought the travel package? My initial reaction of this place was wow, I love the lights at night. Looking out from the second floor, I can see all of Fantasy Land. It is scenic, almost post-card like. Interiorly, I love the decorations and theme going on. Lots of cool Star Wars themed things to look at. It all looks futuristic. The catering food here was alright but the dining experience here was one of the best.

Previously, it housed the Carousel of Progress, and is now this quiet escape from the loud commotion of the park. The A/C is on full blast, giving guests a reprieve from the hot temperatures of summer. If you do go inside, you will find the Star Wars displays equipped with props from the (Skywalker) Star Wars movies. The props are really cool for hard core Star Wars fans. They even host a couple meet & greets there too. Check the schedule for times. I loved seeing the different dioramas depicting the Star Wars planets and landscapes. The different spaceships are on display. Take a photo with a Stormtrooper or just enjoy the cool temps inside.

If you have the option to wear one of your favorite characters, do it ! You will not regret it. They will roll out the red carpet for you. You can't wear the exact costume only kids can do that . You can definitely do the same color wave . That's what I did as closest possible . I had so many people coming up to me telling me that they loved my Disney bound outfit ! 75% of the people that came up to me were Cast members. When you work there you're allowed to represent your favorite cartoon on your name tag . All the snow white lovers definitely showed themselves. Snow it's my favorite. It was awesome! Right when I walked through the entrance, they told me welcome home You're not supposed to leave here snow white . Stay in Disneyland forever don't threaten me with a good time ! As soon as we walk down Main Street and I saw the castle I knew all I had to do was look to my right, and there would be the snow white wishing well!!! OK I wanna go there but not yet. Went on a couple rides and circled back to the wishing well . As life would have it there she was ! All my friends are like Crystal totally stoked ! I didn't think I was gonna get that excited but I really did ! I've grown up in a very Hollywood lifestyle. I've been around a lot of famous people who knew that snow white would be the one to make me fan out the most!!! I mean look at her she really looks like a cartoon. She told me we're twinning , and I let her know that I'm not Snow White I'm her cousin snow wide ! Definitely made her uncomfortably giggle. I said it's OK. There's no getting around it just so much more of me to love. Of course, taking a picture was just not enough for me. I really wanted interaction with her I said come, let's go to the wishing well and sing . She said you go first, and I gave my best impression of Snow White I'm wishing. She told me wow what a lovely, singing voice you even got the birds down. I have no idea why this whole Meet and greet made me blush more than anything in my life. There are a lot of rides in this area including but not limited to Peter Pan's Flight, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. One thing I noticed with the rides here is that they are very similar but with different themes. They are also short (only about two minutes) and have two seats. Because they're a lot of kid rides they're packed with kids and families and are busy all throughout the morning and afternoon.

This colorful show is a great opportunity to rest your feet and cool off after a long day in the park, and it's enjoyable enough if you're a fan of Disney's animated films. The attraction touts a 4D experience which basically means you are given 3D glasses and watch a movie where water is sprayed on you and scents are piped into the theater at appropriate times to match what's on screen. It's fine, but nothing extraordinary. The movie takes viewers through classic and modern animated films from "Fantasia" and "Aladdin" to "Beauty and the Beast" and "Coco." it features classic scenes and songs from the films, and most people in the audience tend to sing along (which makes it even more fun). Donald Duck fans will also love that he plays a major role in tying the whole thing together. It's whimsical and packed full of classic Disney characters, fun effects, and playful surprises that are appropriate for the whole family. My favorite bit is "Be Our Guest!" The theater is large and comfortable, but it's a real bummer that it replaced Muppet Vision 3D (one of my all-time favorite Disney attractions). To this day, I still get a sense of sadness whenever I go into the old Muppets theater. Mickey's Philharmagic isn't anything groundbreaking nor something I'd even consider a must-do, but it serves up plenty of charming, cheerful, and lighthearted fun.

It is a 3D animation that also has in-theater effects like wind, water spraying, and moving seats. The show depicts Donald Duck leading an orchestra and lasts about 10-15 minutes. It's not a must-see attraction but it's something to do when you have some time to spare and you're in the area. When it's hot outside, this is a good break from the sun and walking.

I do not know if this is a temporary change to help promote the movie or if it will be a permanent change. I hope they keep it because I really like it. It is not a new area in the park, but part of Tomorrowland that has been taken over by Star Wars. In a nutshell, much of Tomorrowland has been taken over by Star Wars. Space Mountain is now Hyperspace Mountain and is Star Wars themed. What used to be Captain Eo is now Path of the Jedi, which is a show with clips from all 6 Star Wars movies and clips of the newest on coming out this December. The old Innovations building is now the Star Wars Launch Bay which is basically a tribute to Star Wars. Star Tours, which is already Star Wars theme now has elements of the new movie in the ride. There is Star Wars themed food and drinks in this area. I myself bought quite a few items. I tried the Jedi chicken sandwich ($10), both the light and dark side lemonades which also come with glow cubes ($8 each) , the TIE fighter popcorn container (very popular AND expensive - $18!!), BB-8 sipper ($13). I'm coming back this weekend, so I will try more items then. This is a must see for any Star Wars fan. I can't wait to go back this weekend. Of course, I'll be back many more times than that! Both kids and adults will love this!

Disneyland has given in to Star Wars mania for the time being and is promoting it heavily with Path of the Jedi at the Magic Eye theater, Hyperspace Mountain, a new scene at Star Tours, and the entire 1st floor of Innoventions is dedicated to Star Wars including a meet & greet with Darth Vader and Chewbacca. This cross-promotional marketing event is for the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie coming out on December 18th. Hopefully, this will give most of us a taste for what Star Wars Land will be like when Disneyland closes down Big Thunder Ranch, and parts of Rivers of America for the scheduled construction. In the meantime, you can enjoy the galaxy far, far away, right at Disneyland.

Basically this was a gathering of "retired" characters that you could meet & take photos with for the duration of their mini comeback. For us, LLF was for a week that the characters were back & we present for the first day, yay! This event is located in Big Thunder Ranch. There were 10 sets of characters that were brought back this week (8/19/13): Tarzan, Jane, Terk, Merlin, Hercules, Meg, Hades, Snow White, Dopey, Lilo & Stitch, Pocahontas, John Smith, Pinocchio & gang, Robin Hood & gang, Wendy, Peter Pan & more! I was in character heaven! However, the lines were 20+ minutes for each set of characters (grouped by movies)! That was ridiculous wait time, but I had to meet a few of my fave characters. What they fail to tell you on paper is which characters cone out at what times. Each set of characters are out for about 20 minutes before rotating to another set of characters. So if you're at the end of the line, you may not meet the current set of characters so be aware. If you have multiple people in your group (that don't wanna do photos), have them help you stand in the longer lines while you meet the characters in the short lines. That way you don't have to waste so much time. Overall, I loved this event since I haven't met quite a few of these LLFs! If they have it still for you, do it!

It was a pleasure to meet the characters Hiro Hamada and Baymax from the Disney movie, Big Hero 6…read more All the Disney characters I've met so far play their roles very well. Hiro was so sweet and enthusiastic. He even asked what are the names of my plushies with me. Baymax, the big healthcare bot is sooo adorable. I got to hug the big guy. :) I was only in line to meet them for less than 10 minutes on an early weekday morning. If you are planning to meet them perhaps check the app to see when they are available as I have heard lines are usually quite long to meet them. They were located in San Fransokyo Square of Disney California Adventure, specifically in front of Hamada's Bot Shop. A pleasant meet and greet! 5 stars.
