This man walks in wanting his pants hemmed, she talks to him, he puts on the pants and she proceeds to mark the pants and tells them it will be done in a week. When I raised the issue, the manager (Cesar) shrugged and suggested I check an abandoned clothing rack myself. These were bespoke shirts from Geneva Shirts in Manhattan, costing $350 each. I simply can't afford to entrust expensive, custom clothing to a cleaner that handles items this casually. If you invest in expensive clothes be warned about this cleaner. When I raised the concern, instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable resolution, the company dismissed the damage entirely, hid behind "industry standards," and claimed the changes were within "normal tolerances," despite the fact that the garments were materially altered and unusable. What was especially frustrating is that a prior issue with a different garment had already occurred, which they acknowledged at the time by offering compensation as a "courtesy." Now, faced with a much larger and more obvious loss, they refused any accountability. I expected professionalism and care commensurate with handling expensive clothing.
