Came on in to check out happy hour and was kinda sad to find out any of the menu photos were no longer. There has been a lot staff and chef change so menus I'm posting are current. Quite a change! I opted not to good food since there was no specials to be had. Unfortunately... or fortunately I saw a bug crawling out towards my screen ... I put on flashlight and sure enough it was a cockroach!!!. I hate slamming a place. I waved over gentlemen manager and said hey you might want to take care of this. He quickly wiped it away and said that was the first. I hope it was ! Amanda was a sweetheart. Doing her best at 2 months in. She offered to cook a basic dish up since kitchen wasn't in yet. Food only review: you don't come to a place like this expecting ambiance and good service. The wings were greasy, and SO SMALL. The steak sandwich was a cheap cut of beef slapped on some bread. Almost inedible, so much fat and grisel. The pizza was nice sized, nothing else good to say. The veggies on top were raw, some of the meat on it was also inedible. I had to spit out every piece of whatever pork they put on it. Do not come here for the food! read more

Stopped by this place cause my fiancé and I had a little bit of time in between our busy schedule on Sunday (11/08/24). We wanted to watch the 49ers game and get some lunch. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable when it came to the menu. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, fried zucchini and spicy mac and cheese tots. Amazing bar!!! One of the last truly local bars! This place makes you feel like you're in a cheers episode. Thursday nights they have open mic comedy, and Mondays they have open mic music. Gravy and Mikey are AMAZING behind the bar. Jenell, the manager is a doll! They also have an upstairs room that is great to host parties. I saw multiple reviews here praising the ribs here, so I thought I'd give them a shot. The rack comes fully intact, so you have to cut into them to separate each rib. Upon first glance, the outside was slightly charred, but noticed overall there was a rubbery/bouncy texture and feeling to the meat which struck me as odd. Cutting into the meat was very difficult. I finished one half of my order and started to cut into the other half of the ribs. This is when I noticed it was extremely tough to cut in to. When I finally got them apart and looked at the meat in the middle, it appeared to be raw. If the ribs were just slightly undercooked or simply bad tasting, I would not be writing this review. However, these looked to be extremely rare and - lo and behold - now I am sick. What makes matters more frustrating is now it's a long Labor Day weekend, so medical services and opening hours are not as accessible. I am now experiencing symptoms of food poisoning and extremely fatigued. This is the single worst food experience I've had in Vegas and in the past decade. Unless their attention and method to cooking their ribs are significantly changed, I would highly recommend NOT ordering their ribs. read more

Now that they have food again I'm giving them 5 stars. The time where they didn't have food was a sad time. This place actually has really good bar food and I think it's the very last fairly priced bar in Las Vegas. I do miss the homemade salsa they used to make because their chips and salsa were the BEST. And I promised friends I'd ask in this review if you could bring back the loaded tots too haha. But the new menu has little pizzas on it and they're good. I wish they would connect more with the unlv community because I'm always surprised at the lack of students there. Unlv has a very non traditional student body. Lots of 21+ students actually. Every time I take people with me to Stake Out they always comment that they had no idea it was there and it's literally across the street!!! And its got the best happy hour in vegas. No really...The best happy hour in vegas. And after the loss of crown and anchor this is one of the last original bars in the area. The bartenders are really nice too. It might seem like a little bit of a gloomy atmosphere when you walk in but trust me it's not. Everyone there is really friendly. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for years, and we were so glad to meet Thomas Boley, one of the owners. He showed us how he remodeled the second floor, with a meeting/party room, which was very spacious and could be set up for a variety of occasions. He put additional lighting on the first floor, and recovered the booths. The whole place has been refreshed. By the way, the burgers, chicken fingers, Philly cheese steak and Buffalo fries, as well as the hand-battered onion rings were delicious! We're already looking forward to our next visit! read more

Had the NY steak sandwich (medium rare). The meat was perfectly cooked and the sandwich was downright perfect. Honestly, the best steak sandwich I've had in a while for a very reasonable price! My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich which she said was delicious as well. We both got the coleslaw which tasted fresh and very well balanced. It's hard to get coleslaw just right. Honestly, I was surprised to see the place relatively empty on a Friday night considering the great food and quick service. They have awesome beer on tap, great food, and great prices. So I ordered 3 chicken phillys one with only onions (extra please ) and two with peppers onions and mushrooms (extra please) we'll all them came with LOTS peppers mushrooms and onions plus a 6oz container of my extra veggies which would have been cool but they were raw covered in oil.... Not sure where the extra $10 is from I know the taxes aren't that high and if it's for those unnecessary extra raw veggies well that's just ridiculous! Good food, attentive and friendly staff, and cheap drink prices is what makes this my new go to spot. With food, you must try their BBQ ribs! That sauce and fall off the bone rack of ribs is tits! They have pool tables right up the stairs and a nice cool spot to lounge out.
