I got a regular pedicure for $27. It includes fixing the nails, a scrub, a pumice scrub, wax on the heels and a massage. Then they massage your back for a minute once it's all done. This was my first trip to Stamford Floris and I would say it was a solid 4 Stars. Veronica was my technician and she was very nice and professional. I received a great Pedicure in one of the best massaging chairs I have ever experienced! The paraffin heel treatment was a nice touch. The water could have been hotter (as in it was borderline cool) but overall it was very relaxing. Based on other reviews who said a Mani/Pedi was $30 I was surprised that the Pedicure alone was $25.00. The one beef I had was that there was no signage posted about the services and their prices (that I saw) only DOZENS of signs stating that tips had to be in cash (FYI!) I opted for the Gel Manicure ($30.00) which was pretty good right until the end. I am not sure why but whatever "nail cleanser" solution she used to make my nails shiny did exactly the opposite. And it BURNED! My cuticles were raw and bleeding a little after she rubbed this solution on them. She rubbed SO hard and for so long only for them to still look dull and dingy. Ultimately she buffed the top layer off and redid it but it still wasn't much better. She was just trying to do a good job--but I'm not really sure why that stuff was necessary (since in my opinion it seemed to be the problem). Overall my nails came out looking nice, but definitely not that shiny (or wet) as I feel like they normally look from other salons. I did receive a great 10+ minute back/shoulder and then hand massage (which made up for the painful cuticles!) Overall, if I ever found myself in Stamford again needing to get my nails done I would come back. read more

Always super clean and always a fabulous job - my no-chip manicure lasts for more than 2 weeks every time and my husband and I love the callous treatment pedicures - leaves your feet feeling like a baby's bottom (or so I've heard lol) Do try and make an appointment because they can get pretty booked up and then you have to wait a bit. Compared to the other salons in Stamford, Stamford Floris is the absolute best. They are kind, quick, and really good! I have had two pedicures and a gel manicure. The manicure chipped after a few days, so I went in and got it fixed. It chipped again later that night. I really don't think it was them. I think it was the polish. It wasn't OPI or the normal Shellac. I have never, ever, ever had that issue and I have been getting gel manicures for years. My pedicures are simply delightful. The ladies are so nice and meticulous. The wax for your heels is awesome and the effects last for days. My pedicures always last at least 2 weeks without an issues. They would last longer if I didn't cut my toenails (I hate long toenails). Whenever I go, there is always street parking. But you can also park in the lot with the Old Navy. There are always a ton of magazines and a bowl of candy. It's awesome! read more

I'm from outta town staying at the Crown Plaza. This little clean friendly Salon was in walking distance and had great reviews. So glad I went. Loved my mani pedi from Candi she did an awesome job. I called ahead for a pedicure but didn't need an appointment. The staff quickly greeted me, and Lee did an exceptional job. She's so sweet and really took her time! I was visiting the area from out of state and needed a quick manicure for a special event. I called the Floris and was told that I didn't have to have an appointment. I was politely greeted when I walked in the door. I chose my polish color. The nail technician came over to greet me and she pulled my chair out for me as I was seated. When she sat down she organized her tools in front of her and then stopped. She looked at me, made eye contact, asked how I was doing AND waited for me to answer. ( I was surprised) She did a great job with my manicure. The massage she gave me was heavenly. My nails are beautiful. The nail polish is even a new and unusual color. The salon was quite and tidy even though there were other customers and staff present. Also, there is convenient metered parking in front of the salon. If I lived in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to make this my new salon. They have spoiled me. I doubt I am ever going to be satisfied with my usual salon at home. 30 minutes I'll never get back! For a place that welcomes walk ins, the service is terribly slow. I stopped by after work on a Thursday as I had some time to spare. Put 45 minutes on the parking meter. I was told that I'd have to wait for 5 minutes, but 30 minutes later I walked out as I was tired of waiting! I really wanted to like this place as the staff was very friendly and it's a clean shop. But I came in for a gel manicure and it did not go well. It took over 1.5 hours. I don't know if the polish was old (it looked quite thick to me; it was the Essie gel) but it was lumpy and uneven and I noticed a couple small bubbles in my nails. Polish edges were uneven and messy. Additionally, one bubble was so big that half of the polish peeled from my nail and I had to go back the following day. They fixed it for free, and I wish that I had originally seen the nail tech who fixed my nail (an Indian girl) because she did a perfect, clean job with this one nail. The price for a gel manicure is good but you get what you pay for. Came in to get a new gel as I had an intact but grown-out gel from a more expensive salon in the area that lasted 3 weeks without a single chip. Because the other salon was pricier, I decided to try Floris since they charge $30 for a gel manicure. The manicure itself was good and the place is nice and relaxing. They have a large selection of colors and the techs do a nice job. The reason for the 3 star rating is the gel chipped after 4 days which never should happen. While I was there, another customer let one of the nail techs know her last gel chipped within a week and I was hoping that was a fluke until the same thing happened to mine. Unfortunately, I think they left my nail too long and too thin so they chipped and broke right away. Now I am thinking it may be worth the extra $10 to go elsewhere if it will last 3x as long. read more

Hot wax for both Manicure and Pedicure at no additional cost. What a great value. The hot wax does make a difference on locking moisture in your skin. The older Hispanic lady not only speaks enough English but also provides great service. She's very skilled and experienced. The owners are both Korean. They're very polite and very friendly. I came in for a mani/pedi and immediately got a chair set up (called in advance but came 30min earlier). it was a nice pedi. the girl was very careful with the nails and even took care of the ingrown nail... by the time we got to the manicure it started to be super crowded and it felt rushed but the mani seemed nice until I walked out of the place and saw that 8 out of 10 nails had bubbles in them. very disappointing.... I guess the worse thing was that I got told that my tip was too small. I mean not sure how much people are tipping but I feel like between 12% and 15% is enough...or why do I pay for the service. I've paid way more for that combination and have never recieved the additional services that Floris provides (Parafin for your heels, meticulous attention to detail, long massages, and additional coat of clear polish applied). The salon is also very clean and sterile. Everyone is friendly there and the environment is the least bit hostile. Based on the review I visited this place for a mani-pedi. First experience was just fine. I had an appointment and was attended by Monica who did just OK but my job was done in almost less than an hour for both Mani and Pedi. There were other customers who came before me but I was done before them. But since she was OK I thought of going there again and trying my luck. This time also I went with appointment and was attended by some one else. OMG I really cant believe what a joke the service was this time. My Pedi was done within 10 min and Manicure in about 20 min and while doing my manicure she pulled my skin so roughly that it started to bleed. It was the most awful experience I have had. The only thing is they are clean but they are not worth the money. The ladies who worked on my hands and legs did not even know what they were doing. I will not recommend and never go back here even if their price is reasonable. I don't mind paying more for a better service. read more

As far as affordable, walk-in nail salons go, I don't know how anyone can write a negative review about Floris (unless they truly had an unfortunate experience). I take my family here from out of state during the holidays and they are shocked at the value for the services they provide ($30 mani/pedi with paraffin treatment? Unheard of). I guess because there is so much competition in the area they do what they can to get more people in the door. I love the fact that if you want a quick back massage you can get anywhere from 10-20 minutes and for a decent amount of money. Esther, the lead manicurist is always so friendly and making sure everyone is taken care of. After all it is a business; if you want something more than a $10 manicure than you're in the wrong place. this has been my go to salon for awhile now- they are all super nice and usually they give you a paraffin wax with manicures, although the last couple of times i was there they haven't. Maria is the best with gel manicures- they last a long time. I had a manicure with Kelly because Maria was out and it was NOT good. it chipped within 4 days of getting it... when i went back Esther fixed it no questions asked, but then about 2 days later a different nail chipped. I've had gel manicures for about 3 weeks without a single chip, so this was very annoying. I called Esther to let her know and she offered to fix it again, but at that point I wasn't ready to go in a 3rd time to have a poorly done gel manicure fixed. This place is the best salon I've been to in years! The ladies welcome you warmly and you're treated very well. The standard mani/pedi includes so many additional services at no cost that you can't help but be impressed. A paraffin wax for heels, the amazing foot/hand massages and a back massage when you're at the drying station. The technicians sanitize the instruments after every customer, so they open a fresh plastic bag of instruments each time. That is unheard of! My technician was meticulous, listened to what I wanted and was extremely helpful making sure my nails weren't ruined on my way out the door.
