Fast forward 25+ years later, and I'm now shopping for my son's RC car. Not as much as the old location, but customer service was good. Needed hex wheel adapters for my son's toy grade RC and the guy was able to get me a set that we took apart from the shop RC since they didn't have any brand new adapters in stock. Might have to take a trip to the other hobby shop that's close to this one to compare selection. . But overall, this shop wasn't too bad.

I asked the owner and he mentioned Tatsu hobby as it wasn't far away. First off, this place is kind of hard to find as it is in a completely nondescript industrial complex and far back from the street. There is no way you would just be driving around and come across this place, you have to be searching for it. Also the layout of the store is weird. You first enter into a small room with a couple of display cases, (nothing you can buy I think), with a small desk and a cash register to the right. There was a small man sitting there having a conversation with a person so I wasn't quite sure what to do. My first thought was, "This is it?" But then I noticed there is another room through a open door in the back, so I proceeded through. This is where the kits actually are. The main room is pretty cramped with a few shelves of kits and a table that 3 people were sitting eating at and having nerdy discussions. I wanted to ask a question but I wasn't sure if they worked there or not. I didn't really see that there was really any sort of organization to the store other than the Gundams pretty much seem to be along the rear of the room and other types of kits are near the front. My biggest gripe is that none of the boxes have a price sticker on them. You have to ask the guy up front. Lame. And the couple of kits I asked about were priced higher than other places I normally buy from like Newtype. I'll just stick with Newtype in Union City from now on. Unfortunately they are only open M-F but they do ship and I usually get my orders in a day or two. I wouldn't bother going to Tatsu again.

I've went here multiple times and each time one or more of the employees have been rude towards me and have made snarky remarks. If your life sucks figure it out instead of taking it out on customers. I've said this before and I'll say it again, don't work customer service if you cannot be nice towards others! Other than that, the store has a good selection of merchandise. Such a shame the experience is ruined by rude people.

Short review since we only come here for the gashapon machines…read more I really like coming here. Get some anime gashapon, but it's hard to get some of the ones you like since they're out of stock. I really wish they would stock up more on the popular items. Things are getting a little pricey. $15 for five tokens, and most gashapon are two or three tokens. A lot of the gashapon are anime, sanrio, animals, even food. The last time we were there, they even had little Nikes! The only downside is that it gets pretty warm in there. Especially when the place is packed, it gets really hot. Hopefully they'll think about adding air conditioning or at least fans soon.

He wanted to stop by to check out the RC cars and boats, and even he was surprised by how much the store had changed since the last time he visited! There was honestly so much to look at. They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. They didn't have that particular one, but he said they might get it later on. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! My husband already knew about this place, but as a first-time visitor, I was really impressed. Even though RC cars aren't really my hobby, I still had a good time looking around and watching everyone race. Between the huge selection, indoor track, rock-crawling area, repair services, and friendly customer service, we'll definitely be back!

This is one of the best hidden gems in the Bay Area for a board game afternoon. The space is spotless, well-organized, and the staff make you feel instantly welcome. They've also got snacks and drinks on hand, so there's zero reason to leave once you've settled in. Needless to mention, unlike almost any other board game cafe in the Bay Area, they don't charge you just to sit and play. On top of that, they have a huge collection of comic books, board games, and comics-related items and artifacts available to purchase, so it's easy to walk out with more than you came in for. The shop the tucked away in the back of a plaza, not easy to spot. The shop itself is pretty small, not much of an options and most of the HotWheels are overpriced. Regular HotWheels are $5 each, HotWheels premium/ boulevards are $20plus. They got some jadatoys 1:24, limited options for miniGT, but of course they are overpriced!! But most of the overpriced die casts are nothing special, you could probably find them in your local Target, Walmart, DollarTree or even Amazon for way less. The dude who works behind the counter ignored us the entire time, even when we greeted him. Definitely not worth the visit, will not return.
