The tank, sheath and front and rear water pumps for a 99 4Runner
    John K.

Where to begin? This was the second sub-par shop I went to, to fix a very simple issue. They had my truck ALL DAY LONG, with the request of fixing my windshield wiper pumps. I had to call them at 4 to find out news, which was basically rubbish. I go to pick up the truck only to listen to them blabber on and on and at the end fixed nothing and charged me $200 to do so!!! WHAT THE....??? I was shocked at the incompetence, actually. After I returned from my road trip, I found the entire tank with the pumps and the sheath (that Stang actually cracked and didn't tell me about) for $100 at a junk yard. That's right....they made it worse and didn't tell me!!!! F this place. It took me about an hour to replace the entire thing and it now works great! I basically spent a small fortune to end up fixing it myself. if this isn't a huge life lesson, I don't know what is????? Brakes Plus has treated me better and for better prices!!! Mechanics are rip off artists who don't want to help you, but to profit off you as much as possible!!! Horrible Service Horrible Quality (no quality actually) Zero Value DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!

I have been taking my cars to Stang for over 30 years. They always do an excellent job and are extremely reputable. They also have great customer service and their prices are better than competitive.

Stang keeps my rig running smoothly.

Just did a great job and even did a little extra work for free. Which is typically unheard of with mechanics.

There was a problem with the communication surrounding the tow transfer so I started my experience with Hands on Auto Tech with some trepidation. Tom handled the situation and we moved onto the real problem with my truck. The diagnosis was the clutch so I approved the repair and waited a few days for the parts to arrive and the repair to proceed. After the clutch was replaced another problem with the operation of the clutch was discovered so I agreed to the additional repair and another day for repair. After a week I was reunited with my truck. The repair was costly, lengthy and unexpected but coming out the other side of this experience I learned a couple of lessons. 1. If you have your vehicle towed to a shop follow the tow truck to the shop and verify the transfer. 2. Communication and follow up throughout the repair are key Tom was great to deal with and I feel that he was honest with me about the repairs needed and the cost of those repairs. Having recently moved to the area I feel my vehicle maintenance and repair needs can be checked off the list. I can recommend Hands on Auto Tech to anyone needing an honest repair facility and Tom as a good guy to deal with.

Got it back after a few short days and will be getting some further work done as time goes on. This truck had belonged to my former landlord whereupon his daughter sold it to me as the old boy had gone to a retirement facility. In his later years maintenance and repairs had been let go but being sturdy and strong running, I bought it and am slowly bringing it up to snuff and it is good in the event I should need to do any long distance traveling with it. . Attended the new shop opening, located just off I-25 and Colorado route 66, where I met Mr. Maggio's family and some of the other customers who call Hands On Autotech their home for vehicle repair and servicing. I first went there based on the recommendation of the Martino troubleshooter show on 630 KHOW AM radio; 10 AM - 2PM, M-F. My opinion is that Tom's shop takes something of a scientific approach to vehicle repair and will go more in depth with an analyses than another shop I had been to for an issue with my '99 Tahoe. As an EV owner himself I gather that Tom is up on the current tech, perhaps more than some other places who would have men of my age (68) from the "dinosaur era" of automotive tech working at their shops.

Mechanic recommended fixes for the long road trip, we had them completed and picked up the car with seemingly no issues. We were slated to leave the next morning at 5am, so we woke up at 3am to get ready and take the dog out on a walk, where we discovered the splash guard hanging completely on the ground underneath the car (first image + video below). So we had to delay our trip out by 2 hours just to bring it back in. Told them my frustrations with having our travel delayed, and wasn't really met with any sort of apology / compensation. Finally get back out on the road, and when we arrive at our destination the next morning, we noticed a scraping noise when hitting some low bumps. Looked under the car and see that part of the guard underneath is held together with a zip tie! (Second image + video) Absolutely insane work. Completely disgusted with the shoddy work and the lack of attention + care.

I've had on car's transmission fixed there, and the were able to do a $600 repair for us, whereas another slicker place put my car through a $40,000 diagnostic machine --or so they said--and for a $100 fee evcentually told me I needed a new transmission for ...what was it, $4000 or much more, as I recall. Mag-Co's lot is handily located in a nice area of Broomfield, and if the lot looks kind of unimpressive from the street, well, don't be fooled. This is a place where real work goes on, with no fluff and BS. The shop is run by a nice fellow who took over an existing business, which he now runs with his daughter as office assistant, and they have a heck of a crew, just as honest and efficient and reasonable as the former crew--if not the same. Vive Mag-Co! Such shops are a rarity, and a god-send. Thanks, folks!
