    Noble Pilsner

Exceeded expectations! Stanley Park Brewing is a pretty reliable local brand, but you never know at an airport. Fortunately my experience here was very good. I arrived around 8 pm on a Thursday for a pre-flight dinner, it was busy but not full. There was a host at the front to seat me right away, and after a few minutes with the menu, someone came to take my order. I got a beer and a meal - the beer was brought out very quickly, and the food took a bit longer, I wasn't timing, but it was about average service time for a sit-down restaurant, maybe around 15 minutes. Out of their 6 beers on tap, I chose the Noble Pilsner. This was great, I liked the very slight floral note - it was just pronounced enough to give the beer some character. From my experience with Stanley Park beers in general (outside of this restaurant), I appreciate how they sound simple but always have a little special touch to make them memorable. I got the Tofu Power Bowl to eat, which was an absolute treat. Great medley of tofu and veggies in a delicious tangy sauce. Pretty filling, but not oversized. The service was great, both attentive and very friendly. They did a little bit of small talk, (asking how was my day, where I was flying) which for myself is sometimes not fun, but I felt they were very genuine about it and it made the experience feel nice and personal. Obligatory one star off for the airport prices. Entree + beer + tip was $40+. If you're going to spend $40 at an airport though, this is the way to go.

IPA on left and Lager on right. Both not too bad.

The beer was nice just not as good as California IPAs I've had. It's the beer on the left. I did manage to drink it though

I don't think there could be anything better than the buffalo bites. My absolute favorite here! The Tacos were awesome too. I have had the tuna poke bowl which is pretty good as well. Decent price. Fast service and friendly staff too. Esp Eunice!!!! She's wonderful!!!!

Stopped by since I had a ton of time before my flight. Got the Stanley Park sun setter wheat ale ($10.50) and the mushroom melt burger with fries ($19.99). This place gets pretty busy depending on how many people are flying out the domestic terminal. But the food and beer was pretty decent and the service was good when they weren't busy.

So my standards for airport restaurants is that it overpriced and generally bad. I would pack my own food but it takes up precious space in my carry on. And I think the airport knows this so they charge crazy prices for subpar food. Would I go to the Stanley Park Taphouse in anywhere in Vancouver? No. Was it decent for being stuck in an airport. Yes. Server was really busy but her service was awesome. She was flying around. Menu pretty basic for a pub - hand helds, burgers, and a few entrees. They also serve craft beer. I ordered a few beers because my flight was delayed and the fish and chips. My friend had the burger. She said that the burger was fine but nothing special. I actually enjoyed my fish and chips. The batter was excellent and the homemade tartar sauce was a plus. The fries were crispy. And there is something for me on having malt vinger on fries, fish with tartar sauce and a cold beer. And all of these things were decent. Beer was excellent and a great way to kill time if your flight was delayed. Not many options in that wing of the airport. They have a bit of food court, maybe 3 options (Carl's Junior had a huge line) However, if you have time to kill this is worth going to.

We had a great time here, having a quick bite and drink before our flight. Super friendly staff and the food was delicious. Definitely will visit again when we're at YVR next.

good beer, took some takeout and the grilled cheese has cukes and pesto and it was great. The bartender, with the UK-like accent, asked me if I wanted chips as the side, and I clarified, and he meant chips chips not fries, so, in. Really good.. next time in this terminal I'll roll by again

The front of the house/bar area seems to be more vibrant colours with the bright pop of red which ties into the rugs in the main dining area. I'd probably remove the second rug but if I had to guess, I'd say red may be Feenie's favourite colour as it is a touch out of place. With Michelin stars making their debut in Vancouver only a few years ago, it seems that perhaps Le Crocodile may be gunning for a star as much of the Lower Mainland seems to be. The level of service is excellent; friendly and speedy, everything you could ever want. The food is elevated but has more non-french or fusion themes going on than before. The foie gras terrine topped with cherries is the perfect combo of sweet and creamy; the brioche really brings it home. The French onion soup is gooey and rich with depth of flavour however the cheese had a bit too much of a smoky burnt taste as opposed to a charred broil. The dover sole was perfectly de-boned at table side and my mouth was watering while watching. It could've used a touch more seasoning but other than that the sides made it so elegantly French that it brought tears to my eyes. I could have done with a touch less beurre blanc as it was almost on the verge of drowning the beautiful dover sole. The presentation of Le Crocodile's dishes are truly Michelin level. I thoroughly enjoyed the medium-rare veal with what seemed to be home-made pasta and the sauce that raised it to the next level. Desserts were great and although the mini chocolates at the end are no longer in a crocodile shape they do have a decorative gold crocodile made by no other than Thomas Haas which brings in the local vibes. There were tiny things such as the scratched bread plates, the loose tea on the tea pot lid, and a small fibre in the menu which are going to be the very difference between staying at this high level and gaining a star that will need to have more attention to detail. With all that said, I'd still recommend anyone who loves French cuisine to make sure to stop by this spot.
