My server and the hostess were delightful and welcoming. I had seen previous reviews praising the Thai soup, so wanted to try. Got the soup/salad/garlic bread. I am not a fan of parsley (I find it bitter) and didn't personally enjoy the flavor of the bacon, so the Caesar salad was not working for me. The Thai soup tasted amazing! I just wanted more soup - this ate more like a curry, and I would have preferred to control the amount of rice. It was a bit weird being on the patio next to a busy street, but felt high enough to not be too bothered (or maybe it was the time of day.) Whenever we stay at the "Coast T" hotel, we enjoy checking-in and then heading downstairs for some relaxation and great food. (We've been doing this every December for years.) The food at Browns is still pretty darn tasty. The noise level (restaurant area) was unusually loud. Our server had difficulty hearing our order, and we could not hear him. (This was early evening on a Thursday. I might expect a harsh cacophony on a Saturday night when a game was on TV, but a Thursday?) We moved into the bar area, where the noise was a bit below airport-runway levels. I'd also recommend bringing along a flashlight (or flashlight app) to read the menu. I've got 20-20 vision, and had quite a bit of trouble reading in the darkly lit dining room. The food, of course, was outstanding. read more

We came early when it wasn't too busy to hit up their happy hour! The place is super cute and trendy with outside seating and a huge bar. I ordered Fiesta Fries, Crispy Yam and Avocado roll, and cauliflower bites and was really disappointed with the quality of food. The fiesta fries were not fresh or warm, the toppings were lackluster, and the sprinkle of feta was disappointing (see photo). The roll was better but the rice was over cooked and soggy. The cauliflower was fresh but lacked any flavor (unless you drenched it with the sauce) My sister ordered the steak and pasta and she really liked it and the portion/price was great. This is by far - one of my favourite Brown's Social House that I have been too! Their Baja Taco's & Thai Chicken Soup is my favourite dish from them. I come here just for their Thai Chicken Soup! Went for a light lunch. Ordered the "loaded" nachos which definitely aren't LOADED. Just light sprinkling of cheese and garnish. I confirmed with staff and they stated it is correct. Staff were great, quick with food etc. No issues with staff. I'm always looking for good nachos. I also don't think restaurants should change what classic nachos are. Their main dipping sauce is salsa. Browns has their own take on it, diced ingredients which you play lacrosse with to stay on your chips I didn't try any other food. Definitely not coming back for nachos again. Pop was $4.50 which has free refills. That was a plus since second pop came back quick. I would ask for less ice cream read more

Good tasting and healthy food. Been here a few times. Open late. After working out I get hungry. Like everyone, I expect. Tried a few dishes, very delicious. I work at eating a high protein diet, composed of Keto/vegan diet. I was a vegan and vegetarian. This is why I chose this over Arby's. The big point is where is the meat? Arby's I expect? Afraid not here. All the protein portions I have consumed are super small! My suggestion to the management is put chicken in the chicken dishes. Put Tuna in the Tuna dishes. An amount that won't kill your overhead, and also make adults feel like they ate a meal, not a snack. If you're a lite eater, maybe your perfect place, but pricey for us working folks. I need order two dishes to get a decent amount protein for me, a grown man. Again every dish was super yummy. Compliments to the kitchen and the wait staff. Excellent service and atmosphere. Ordered take out as we were staying at the hotel they are attached to. Would bake some nachos as they only offer take and bake nachos which is ridiculous. They had no problem making nachos when we last stayed here 4 months ago. Subbed a quesdilla for the nachos, was ok but slightly burnt. Calamari appy, way overcooked and inedible. Didn't even eat 1/4 of it. Dry rib appy was decent. Dynamite decent as well. Overall very disappointing for the $80 it cost us. Will not order from here again on future visits. read more

I am a big fan of this place! I ordered the peach wheat ale which is amazing, so fresh and so smooth. I also got the Southwest bowl with the blackened chicken and queso. The vibe is so cool and like high end bar food. They have TVs playing the Toronto Kansas City game and the atmosphere is just fun! The whole restaurant is clean and the entire staff is super friendly. If you're staying at the hotel attached you get 10% off. Can seem a little pricey but it's got that higher end feel and an expensive twist on a lot of the food they serve! Would for sure recommend coming here! read more

I was skeptical to come just because of the reviews this place ha, and I can't say enough how wrong they were. Service was the best, Stephanie was very courteous, always attentive to our drinks, yet not interrupting or disturbing us. Food came quickly. We ordered a French dip, fettuccine Alfredo and quesadillas. We were all happy with what we ordered. The salads we had as a side were super fresh. Also there is a nice variety in the menu, everyone should be able to find something. They were following all COVID protocols and everything was very clean. read more

I don't know how you can mess up a cesar salad order THREE times when there are only 2 people in the restaurant...but this place knows how to do it! First the server put the order in wrong, then the kitchen made something else...30 or 40 minutes later I got disgusting chicken with all the fat and skin on it. Lettuce was the romain hard centre rib and more croutons then actual salad. Disaster. The teriyaki chicken bowl was swimming in a horribly sweet sauce topped with mushy vegetables also covered in sauce. When we left out bill came to 78$?! Not until we read the receipt on the way to the car did we notice that we were charged for the salads that they screwed up and made in the first place?! The manager wanted to give us a gift card instead of a refund....This place is a horrible joke! Would never come back and would never recommend to anyone. read more

Average food. Limited options in Tsawwassen so it's sometimes a reluctant pitstop if Ferries are backed up. The burgers are average-ok-good but smallish and pricey for what you get. It's an expensive venture with Browns and sometimes I just can't justify it. I find each visit, and each Browns, can be inconsistent with food, service and ambience. This one is mediocre. The one in Langley is better. The one on upper Lonsdale in North Van is the best I've visited. Layout is poor and rather strange. We were seated in the front entrance area where everyone walked past us or hung around waiting for a table. Then a huge bantam hockey team showed up and flooded the area. Awkward with a crowd of people standing over your table, not to mention a bunch of hungry teenage boys. read more

Met my sister here for dinner last night. Ordered the halibut tacos. Where was the fish? Costing $17.95 for the dish was pretty pricy. I ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, my wife ordered a beef dip. the pizza had horrible banana peppers that almost ruined the pizza, once it took them off it not too bad (the were not listed on the menu). the beef dip as okay, but the au jus was flavorless, like colored arm water, the fries were disgusting, almost doughy like. won't be going to the one at home after that experience. read more

I have been going to Browns Social House for a few years now. It has been great food and service up until the last few months. They make mistakes on orders all the time. The last time My family and I went 3 out of the 4 orders were incorrect and everyone was blaming each other. I really hope they get to the service level to were it was a few months ago. read more

Food was good today, but had poor service from Sonya80. She was super slow and snarky with us even though we were very polite. It took 15 to 20 minutes to bring drinks, same for taking order, forgot to bring refills and then was rude when we politely asked for them. I don't like writing poor reviews but she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. When I made a comment to someone else at our table about the service they said she'd serve them before and she was rude to them as well. Will try to avoid her section in the future. On Sunday, June 9th went for breakfast and was hugely disappointed in the food. I ordered bacon and eggs which is a simple breakfast, but first off there were only 2 slices of bacon, which felt chintzy for a place as nice as I've always felt Brown's to be. When I mentioned the bacon to the server she said I could have another 2 slices for a dollar which again felt like they were trying to extract bits of cash from me, where if they had just priced it at a dollar more for the standard 4 slices of bacon in the first place, everything would have been fine. The eggs were fried at too high of a temperature, which caused the egg white to be all crispy and unpleasant. My friend ordered steak and eggs, which the menu claimed to be filet Mignon, but he is a chef and knew instantly that it was a cheaper cut of meat that had been trimmed on all sides (incorrectly against the grain) to resemble a filet. The resulting steak, though nicely charred, was tough and distinctly not pleasant. The place was pretty empty and she never asked us how our meal was, nor did she ever come to refill our coffee. She was nice enough but seemed more interested in chatting with her coworker. First time I've ever been disappointed in this place. read more

This member of the Browns franchise opened here almost two years ago, and became an instant hit. Service can be slow at times, but the setting is nice enough that you don't mind hanging out. My wife and I stopped in here for a Boxing Day lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy as you might expect on this day and we were seated right away. Service, for the most part, was efficient but brusque. I had fish and chips which were okay but overpriced and my wife had the fish tacos which were terrible. The fish tacos consisted of one piece of deep fried fish smaller than a French fry in each taco and a bunch of cole slaw with some salsa. We have eaten fish tacos in many different places around the world and these were certainly the worst. We would have sent the meal back if we had ever seen our server again however she managed to ignore us until it was time to pay.
