Delivery was scheduled, the time window for delivery came and went, and we never heard a thing from the delivery guy, so we left for our dinner plans. He called 30 min late. We know that stuff happens, but there was never a heads up earlier in the afternoon that he was running behind, and no apology on his part for not being in contact, and THEN when I told home we weren't home anymore he said "well what do you want me to do with your rug?" Rude and incredibly unhelpful in a situation that he created. BUT WAIT! Once our rug was delivered (by a different person the following morning), we noticed it had a strong fragrance-y smell. The rug was incredibly stiff when we got it back and when we vacuumed it lots of powder came up, perhaps a scented deodorizer?? There shouldn't have been residue left!! We chose Zerorez specifically because we were assured fragrance and chemicals were not used, yet our rug came back smelling like it had been dipped in some horribly fake floral scent. I contacted the guy who I had been in touch with, he said he'd get in touch with the rug manager, and that was a week ago. The smell has slowly dissipated but it's still there, and we just give up. Ironically, we've swayed friends and family from using Zerorez as they were all waiting to hear how our experience went before having carpets and rugs cleaned. We absolutely wouldn't return the rug to have it cleaned again, as we don't trust that it wouldn't arrive back to us smelling like fake dollar store perfume and baby powder. The customer service overall was crap, and the cleaning service was crap. Totally a bust. Our rug was so much better when it was dirty!

I called ServPro based on a recommendation from a family member who lives in the area. WOW!!!!! What a great choice. John Bowles, the owner of the company was there on the first day, and communicated regularly throughout the entire process. This company has been so good from start to finish. They were there almost immediately with vacuums and fans and trucks and personnel to start the removal of water and water damaged stuff. They worked quickly and efficiently to assure that mold did not have time to grow and cause further damage. We decided to take this opportunity to replace other items in the house that were not damaged by water but needed updating. They worked with us to determine the best, most cost effective, and time efficient ways to accomplish what we wanted done. The communication throughout the entire process was impeccable. Todd Goins was the project manager and I could not ask for better customer service. Living 5 hours away, I needed assurance that things would be done when they were supposed to be done. There was NO miscommunication throughout the entire process. We replaced cabinets, countertops, sink, dishwasher, flooring, shower, moved laundry facilities, did plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, and the list goes on. There were several subcontractors used in the process. These subcontractors were held to the same high standards that ServPro's own employees are held to. They were on time, stayed late when necessary, work so hard, were professional and polite. I would personally hire any of the companies to do work in my own home. I highly recommend this company!!!!! Mr. Brook showed up to inspect my crawlspace and literally before he pulled out the driveway, I received an email from him with a quote for $6000 with a 3% discount if booked within two weeks. I thought maybe it was a mistake, as I could not understand, after comparing his quote with the other quotes, how his could be so much less for the same work??? I called maybe six of his 20 or more references and they all were very positive, and said they would use him again; some were business references and they said they use Foothills on a regular basis. I then called Brook and asked if he did veterans, law-enforcement, and or senior discounts, which he did give me an additional 2%. I booked them, they came out on time, Brook introduced me to his crew who were doing the work, and by the end of the day they were done. I was pleased, and my HVAC company, pest control company, engineer, and others who have since gone into my crawlspace, have said what a great job Foothills did. They returned earlier this year to do an annual inspection.

However, the same technician also quoted me ~$8,000.00 to replace my well pump. I just had it replaced by another company for right at $4,000.00 -- exactly HALF the price. They quoted me DOUBLE what it actually costs. When I reported the overcharge, I was told the technician would be written up. He was only written up because he got CAUGHT. I have no doubt this kind of pricing is widespread across this company. Do NOT use All About Plumbing. I'll also be saving documentation of all of this. Just know that these things get out, and sometimes companies get sued out of business for STEALING from people.
