Pretty disappointed with my experience with Stanley Steemer. I called at 10 this morning and was told someone would come out to clean my couch between 12-6 today. I waited at my apartment until about 2 when a service person called to be let up. He said he was at my apartment to pick up the portable cleaner, however no one had come to clean the couch so there was no equipment at my apartment. He was confused as well and said he would have to reschedule to tomorrow despite there being 4 hours left in the window. I called them back and I was assured someone could still come out between 2 and 6 today. At around 3:30 I received a text stating my appointment was scheduled for tomorrow. I called them back again and they said there was no availability left today and I would have to be scheduled for tomorrow. Overall, they are inconsistent, unreliable and have poor internal communication. I am going to be using a different service and I recommend you do the same. read more

I'm really disappointed with my recent experience with Stanley Steemer in Dallas. They promised me multiple stains would come out, but not only did the stains remain, my rug now smells like absolutely nothing--even though I paid extra for deodorizer. On top of that, it came back snagged and looking worse than before. It was supposed to take place between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. I received a text saying that the technician was on his way, but he never showed up. The pricing was also inaccurate because I invested in the clean room guarantee. That was another big mistake. I called to get some answers on the 17th and was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. No one ever did. I just finished a call with another customer care technician and was told to wait another 48 hours. I only want my money back at this point. I am selling my house and asked for a 1 room cleaning. It didn't meet the minimum, so I agree to the price. They were able to set an appointment for the next day. Now the problem begins. The arrival window is either 8 to 12, or 12 to six. I have already moved and am 45 minutes away. I asked if they could give me a shorter window, but they won't. They said they would text when the crew left. I was waiting 5 and a half hours and got a text that they are delayed and cannot make the 6 hour window. When I called to get an approximate time they couldn't give it to me. I got excuses of being short staffed, etc, which really doesn't matter to me , it's their problem. Since they knew that they were short on people, why wouldn't they set an appointment that works for them and me? A six hour window tells me that they do not have a grip on their schedule and I, the customer has to waist a half a Day for nothing. Don't use these people! read more

My rugs looked like no one ever cleaned them. They were barely wet and it was clear that they were not clean. I could have done a better job cleaning them by hand with oxy clean. They didn't look brighter but looked the same. I was not impressed at all. For the amount of money charged to clean them it was not worth it. The carpets look clean. read more

Well first off I noticed all the reviews on here are considerably old. I had a much better experience just recently with this company. I scheduled an appointment on line to have my tile and grout cleaned. Not only was it half the price of the other company I normally use, it came out a lot cleaner as well. Michael arrived in the time frame I selected and was very knowledgeable and personable. He did not try to upsell anything to me. He worked very hard on his hands and knees to scrub my grout and did an awesome job. I cannot comment on carpet, as I have not tried them for that yet. However, I would definitely recommend their tile cleaning. read more

Hired the FW branch to clean my ducts and woke up the next day to water coming through the ceiling due to a plugged drain in my HVAC. The branch manager told me there was no way it was their fault even though my unit was functioning perfectly before their service. No offer to do more than let a fan blow on it to dry out the ceiling. SS has no one higher than a branch manager so I am left to pay for repairs. Horrible customer service. They did not clean the rug they had in their possession for weeks and are refusing to refund the $450+ dollars. Rug came back in the exact same condition as we gave it to them. Their manager has refused to offer a refund and has submitted fraudulent documents to my credit card company to try and justify the charges. Stanley Steamer picked up our Silk carpet for cleaning. We where informed that it would a few weeks. Well a month later not receiving our rug we called them and where told that it will be delivered the next day. When we received the rug it had two marks on it looked like burnt marks. We called to report it and was told someone would call us. Well no one has reached out. Today we called again and we're told there was no incident filed. Very weird! I phoned Stanley Steamer with a difficult project. They quoted my job for $400 and change. They were so "available" I thought I'd best check their reviews. They had plenty of negative reviews but most centered on "up selling" and I figured I could handle that. Once the guy arrived he said the job was indeed difficult(I have a dog who struggles with house training) but then quoted me a thousand dollars and cut the number of rooms by three once I told him I could only do $800. He told me he would call to confirm that evening once he spoke with his supervisor and he would be back first thing the next morning to do the job. I got no call. First thing in the morning never happened. Around noon he showed up at my door and I sent him on his way. For $800 I can buy my own steam cleaner and do it myself. The service person arrived and told us it would actually be $500+ because the carpet was wool. They spent less than 30 minutes on the carpet. Jacob and Matthew were wonderful!!!! They came and cleaned 5 bedrooms and closets that were pretty dirty. Heavy traffic stains, lots of ground in dirt, pet stains and odors....you name it they cleaned it. Both guys were very friendly and professional, I will definitely be requesting them to come back next time. I had questions and I didn't want to be annoying, but they welcomed my questions and gave me explanations of what I was asking. So I FINALLY got my carpet cleaned last week. Finally. The last time it was cleaned was 2 1/2 YEARS ago right before we moved into our house. I really don't know why I waited so long except I couldn't decide who to choose and didn't want to deal with moving furniture, damp carpet, etc, etc. I decided on Stanley Steemer since I'd used them a couple times before when I lived in California and seemed to recall them doing a decent job. I started by going to their website and booking the appointment online. It's a good system that shows you dates/times that are available and you choose the arrival window you want. You can also get a quote based on the number of areas you need to have cleaned. So I booked them online, got the usual e-mail confirmation as well as a confirmation phone call the day before the service. Then two guys showed up during the selected window to clean the carpet. And they did a very good job. They were also both nice and courteous (ask for the Christopher and Jimmy team). The Stanley Steemer guys will move most of your furniture for you and then put it back after the area is cleaned with pads under the furniture to keep the furniture stain from getting on the damp carpet. And as long as you live somewhere where they can pull their truck right up to your house, they'll use their truck-mounted system (if you live in an apartment or have some situation where they can't get close, they have some other type of equipment they have to bring in). Anyway, bottom line - I had 10 areas cleaned for about $260! I thought that was extremely reasonable. The place looks and smells clean now. I'd been having problems before the cleaning with my sinuses clogging up at night (maybe due to dirty carpet??). They haven't clogged since Stan The Man was here. Note: Your carpet will be damp when they leave, but it will be mostly dry within a few hours (depending on the weather). They recommend keeping the pads under the furniture legs for a couple days to make sure the carpet is completely dry. So don't book them the day before the mother-in-law is due to arrive. Give yourself a couple days to get things back in place. read more

Foremost, my carpet was NEVER actually DIRTY! My home, and carpet, is LESS THAN TWO YEARS OLD l! I live alone, have no pets and don't wear shoes inside!!!! I noticed what appeared to be "high traffic" areas forming at the entry into my master bedroom and coming from my master bathroom into the bedroom and decided to get ahead of them by using "the best" in carpet care! My wife was very disappointed in the tile cleaning and grout in the kitchen, hallway and especially in the master shower stall. They left soap scum all along the bottom rows of tile so that led me to believe they only went waist high in cleaning. There are some tiles in the kitchen that are still dirty and some of the grout lines are discolored and are worse now before they even started. read more

We called them because we had a lot of pet stains in the bedroom after our dog got sick. They came in the time frame we selected and introduced themselves. We went to take a look at the carpet, they let us know exactly how everything would go, and they were in and out quickly! Most of the stains are gone- there are a few ghosts of former stains (they let us know that might happen). The only thing we weren't a fan of was the upselling- asking us if we want to buy furniture cleaning, spot remover, etc.- but they are just doing their jobs. read more

We booked our appointment to have our grout cleaned and sealed. We were extremely disappointed with the work once it dried. I also checked the floors after they left and multiple spots of grout were dry which made no sense since they just cleaned and sealed them minutes ago. We called to complain and requested that they return to do the work properly. A tech came back out and confirmed for us that the grout was not properly cleaned and it was NOT sealed. I was extremely upset and tried to let it go since this new tech seamed to be knowledgeable and would make it right... NOPE... the tech said he didn't have time to do this and was tired from a big job he had earlier that day. I called back again requesting to speak to a manager regarding these issues. I was promised a call back same day.... no call back. I then called back again the next day and was told that managers do not work on the weekends so he doesn't know why I was told I would receive a call back the day I originally called (Saturday) or the second day I called (Sunday). We have now had to pay for the service, board our dogs twice, move furniture twice, and take off of work... for nothing... read more
