Just had my rugs cleaned May 28. When they left the water on the rugs saturated my socks, and when I took the socks off, the water came up between my toes. I got my own machine and started to try to dry out the rugs more. The dirt that came out of those rugs was unbelievable. I don't blame the cleaners. I blame the corporation. They have 5 minutes per room. They don't even use that. They're in and out so quickly I'm surprised anything is cleaned. I've never had a problem before and I've used Stanley steamer, but I will not in the future, I read on the web site for the 1st time, which is my fault I never did before, they allow 5 minutes per room and they don't steam they use hot water. They don't guarantee that the extra deodorizer you purchase is going to work. I once believed in Stanley steamer, but I will never utilize them again. read more

I needed one bedroom carpet and one set of steps cleaned. They arrived early and my construction crew told them I was not there. They said they would come back after another job. I called their main number THREE times to verify that they were coming. I waited the ENTIRE day for them to come. They NEVER came, never called, no contact whatsoever. It turns out that the steamers decided NOT to come!!! They simply cancelled themselves! Even after I called to verify THREE times! I was so angry and still am! No excuses in this age of cell phones and emails. Just irresponsible workers. I will never use Stanley Steemer again. read more

I understand that ultimately, this is my responsibility. It would have been nice if the 2 technicians, Roland and Christopher, had notified me that they unhooked their equipment and to please turn off the water that continued to run 12 hours. Again, I have to assume all responsibility and additional costs for the hose running full blast, but the reminder should be part of their communications just as much as the up-selling is a part of their job duties. read more

I booked an appointment to have a sofa sectional cleaned. The price was more than two large rooms. Anyway, I received a text the morning of, that the technician would be coming by soon and they even provided a picture of who it was. So I notified the people waiting at my house that the tech was on his way. I followed up two hours later and was informed that the tech still had not arrived. I was aggravated but was at work. I came home and had thought by now, it must have been done. To my surprise, after 6:30 pm the tech still had not arrived. I called to find out what happened and all I got was an apology and 10% offered to me after finding out the tech cancelled the appointment due to a "scheduling conflict" My frustration was absolutely no call whatsoever after people waited at my house all afternoon from 12-6, which is the window I received. I told them to keep their 10% and use it to train their customer service department to call customers when this happens instead of us calling them. So I called a local, small company that night, they came out two days later and actually charged me less, even with the insulting 10% off SS offered. Wasted 6 hours of my day and SS felt that was worth $29 dollars. read more

Absolutely appalled by the way the branch manager of the Newark office treated me while in my house. Carlton the branch manager of the Newark DE office came by to inspect MOLD on my furniture as a result from a service provided prior. I have never in my life by treated with such disrespect from a MANAGER of a business. The manager stormed off and left my apartment without resolving the issue at hand. I do not understand how a manager can treat customers with such disrespect and be so degrading. read more

Knowing that the holidays are approaching, I decided to call Stanley Steemer to schedule. Overall, workers knew their jobs and products. After they left and we "inspected", there were gashes in our newly painted stairs that will now have to be re-painted! There wasn't a problem with cashing my check the next day but seems to be a BIG problem with getting a manager to address the issue! "A manager will contact you in 24 hours or so".......not! So next thing is to let people know how they treat their customers. Still waiting!! read more

Unreliable and terrible service. I scheduled 2 appointments, a carpet cleaning and air duct estimate with them. The carpet cleaners showed up over 2 hours late, which caused me to miss an afternoon of work that I hadn't planned to be off (I was scheduled for the earliest appointment). The carpet cleaners left dirt marks on my stairs - which they had just cleaned - with their hose. They also didn't clean the corners of my carpet. The company scheduled another cleaning to happen on the same day as my air duct estimate. Apparently, the company then canceled my air duct appointment without telling me because someone thought it was a duplicate. I never received a cancellation notice. I called on the day of to ask where the tech was, they tried to gaslight me and tell me that I canceled the appointment. I had just confirmed the appointment the week prior. They refused to come out any time close to the original time slot and wanted to schedule me for 2 weeks in the future - when I'd already taken time off work to meet with them. Totally disrespectful of my time. I will never use this company again. read more

I am giving two stars only because the two guys who arrived were nice. Be aware that they will only do the room if its 300 sq feet which is no where to be found on the website. Luckliy the manager gave into completing all three rooms like I asked on my quote. Here are some tips to help make your decision. They only spray water and suck up the water-no scrubbing no deodorizer NOTHING Every stain they were unable to get up but were quick to explain why...I will tell you why ..there's no cleaner or scrubbers....thats it point blank. But they are trained very well to convince you other wise They try to sell you on everything.....to get the stain out. Which is funny because in the same sentence they will explain why the stain won't come out. All in all its water sprayed and vaccumed up. They put blocks under the furniture but never moved the furniture to clean under it. They just made it look like they did. I would not recommend them and will just invest in my own cleaner with a scruber and shampoo. They guys were super nice that was the only positive. read more

I normally clean my carpets myself, but I have a broken ankle. I wanted my carpets cleaned for Thanksgiving. I have to add this. When our home was first built, my father visited and ask why I chose carpeting that was so light. I thought, "Mind your business, old man!". However, after being in the home for a few years, I realized the wisdom of my precious daddy! :) Well, fast forward 16 years and that carpet is a nightmare! The two gentlemen that came to do the cleaning were extremely professional and did a wonderful job working on the stains on the carpet.

Professional, quick and carpets look AWESOME! Highly recommend! I was talked into putting a protectant on my carpet which was not something I originally planned to do however he was not pushy about it and recommended I only put in the high traffic areas to make the cleaning last longer. I never felt as though I was being forced to add on more services than I originally wanted (even though I ended up getting some) and I am extremely happy with the results. read more

I had a rental property in Pike Creek, two men arrived 15 minutes early, did the work in a timely fashion with great results!

WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE OR USE AGAIN. Pricing is VERY misleading and the only way you could tell that carpet had been cleaned is that is was wet for almost 24 hours!!!! Sold additional products that were UNNECESSARY, products that increased total $200. read more

The two men who showed up to clean the upstairs carpets in our rental townhouse did a very poor job. The carpets still looked matted and dirty after they dried. I actually used my Green Machine on several areas and the water came up BLACK with filth. The men were in & out within 40 minutes....for 3 bedrooms, a hall and 12 steps! They did not do the the closets or get in close to the baseboards. VERY disappointed. read more
