Just got home after having Stanley Steamers come out to my home to service air ducts They ripped off vents carelessly and left ceilings damaged, (at my cost to fix), they destroyed the existing alarm system (at my cost to fix), cut a hole into my home that was "by accident" and then puttied back together hodgepodge style. They came unprepared and rather than say they lacked the correct tools to get the job done they continued to destroy my home, leave a mess in their wake and walk out with stuff hanging out if vents, debris on the floor and a single picture from an iPad that showed limited visual of actual work claimed to be conducted. My next level of escalation is to let Costco know of the service we received today since they are advertising their work on site. If you don't want damage to your home, more out of cost expenses and poor service then Stanley steamers is the place to avoid Can't even get a rep to call back with a resolution or for them to stand by their employees work to make the situation right. read more

Stanley Steamer used to be a lot better. In terms of quality, thoroughness, value. They do show up on time and they will text you when they're on their way. It's hit or miss on who you get as to the quality of the job though. Last job it took him an entire week to get two small rooms cleaned properly. Carpets weren't that dirty. I came out to do the quarterly cleaning. Carpet looked worse after he left and I did before he got here. He came back out on Wednesday and managed to make the carpet dirtier than it was on Monday before you even started. Sent photos to the management. They sent a manager out to clean. Now, finally on Friday the carpet looks like it should've looked on Monday. Wish we hadn't joined their club which is over 350 bucks definitely not worth it. Main Complaint: Carpet edges at baseboards are still dirty, I was told this was not cleanable. Two bedrooms, loft area, 2 closets and stairs were scheduled . It took a very short time for technician to get to stairs and I was like wow! On cursory inspection (my bad), everything looked good, fans were on, lights were on, I didn't see any obvious mistakes. There were still furniture divots in bedroom, again i had been told these don't come out! Went back next day to turn off fans and looked more carefully...I should have looked better the day of cleaning! One closet had not been touched, no cleaner marks and huge dirty marks away from wall, so no excuse for edge dirt not coming out! Now, I'm either going to have go and clean myself or hire another carpet cleaner who will be 5star rated and hope I get a better job than a 3 star rating! I had our air ducts cleaned less than a year ago and also paid an additional $800 for their Air Restore system. I was advised it would help with our allergies and my son's asthma, and I would also see less dust in the house. I have experienced niether of those things. We still have the same issues with allergies, and I'm still dusting as much as I did before having this system. I don't know what we paid for. It doesn't seem to be doing anything that sold me into purchasing it. read more

Offered to wear a mask (told him not necessary) and shoe coverings in the house. He cleaned what we had arranged, plus had extra time so was able to clean our kitchen grout as well. Had Stanley Steemer over to steam clean some carpets and some rugs. Their website made scheduling easy, and their calls before the appointment were good reminders of when they'd be by. They were on time each and every time they came out, and were professional and courteous. The prices are higher than going and renting your own steam cleaner at the local grocery store, but they have much larger, more professional equipment that they know how to work, and take their time doing the job right. They made good recommendations of what to clean, and how to approach it. There was a bit of upselling, but their ideas on how to tackle the job were spot on. They hauled away two big rugs, sent them up to Dallas for a good cleaning, and replaced them in the home. Francesco, the technician was so disrespectful and operated with a lack of respect for our property!!! I had a scheduled window of 8:00am to 12:00pm for my 9 room cleaning. At 11:08am I get a text message stating that they were running behind and that it would be a window of 12 to 2pm. Francesco arrived at 1:37pm and was so rude!!! (This is the customer service industry and just because you're having a bad day does not mean that you take out your frustrations on the customer). This later timeframe meant that we would not be able to be at the house the entire time. We asked that he text us when he was getting close to finishing the job. He agreed. We also asked that if by chance we could not get back in time, would he lock and shut the front door. He agreed. My husband prepaid for the services and Francesco went to work. At 3:27pm, I received a text message asking what I thought of the job? We were driving back to the house about 20 mins out. When we arrived at the house, we were shocked to see our front door wide-open with the glass door propped open well! The technician was gone!! This is totally unexpectable and a lack of respect for us the customer and the property! If you tell the customer that you were going to do something you should do what you say. Well, so I've been out of town for a while. Clearly, Jr forgot my list of 142 rules. Rule 73, section a reads as follows: no animals of any type shall enter the premises either under its own power or by the will of another. Needless to say, as a result of unauthorized puppy visits, my carpets required cleaning, sanitization, so on and so forth. We'd used Stanley Steemer at the office and they'd done a bang-up job so I decided to give em a shot. I called around 10 a.m. By noon, the truck pulled up and out jumped to capable-looking fellows. They got right to work and made my carpets look (and more importantly smell) like new...which is how I'd left them. It's 2 p.m., they're gone and things are back to normal...almost. Wow, what a HORRIBLE experience! Not only did they try to force us to buy an additional service, but they charged us for it even after we declined it three times! We originally declined the deodorizer additional service when we booked the appointment. The dispatcher quoted us $107 and some change for cleaning the carpet of two bedrooms. When the technician was about to start the cleaning he tried to force my husband to agree to the deodorizer. My husband asked if the deodorizer was necessary with all cleanings, and the technician said YES. The technician continued to say it was part of the "Pet Treatment." At no point did we discuss any "Pet Treatment" cleaning; we only wanted the carpet in two bedrooms cleaned. My husband again stated we did not want the additional service and only to clean the carpet. When the technician finished, he asked my husband for his card and charged $161 when it should have only been $107. He asked for my husband's signature, and that's when my husband noticed the total and told the technician it was incorrect. The technician then calls his manager to ask how to give a refund because he had overcharged us. Lastly, the technician tells my husband he still needed a signature and reassured my husband he would get a call from his manager later that day. Unfortunately, we did not get a call later that day. We received a call the following day from their dispatch, telling us the technician had confirmed that he had provided the service and that the signed receipt was proof. We went back and forth for 14 minutes, telling her we had declined the additional service at least three times. It took for us to let her know we had multiple videos of the interactions for us to get a partial refund. They also did not move any furniture in the bedroom. If we knew they wouldn't move anything, we would have moved the nightstand and dresser. read more

I would highly recommend that you look anywhere but here for your carpet cleaning needs! They sucker you into their one year contract which you have ten days to cancel. I tried canceling within 7 days of signing the contract and couldn't get in contact with them. With COVID happening this past year, I again called two days prior to my contract ending and requested either a partial or full refund for services that were not used this year. I was informed they could extend my plan by six months. We have major foundation work happening early 2021 and carpet replacement will be the least of our worries much less cleaning that will not be needed. My couch is still showing stains and all of the water was not cleaned after use. It was a fall hazard. She said they are supposed to use the rake afterwards. The rugs are not only clean but so "soft and fluffy," my plumber said--my first compliment. Even a stranger could tell the difference, and I said to myself, "He's right, it's spotless and really soft and fluffy." Usually, they have two people, and one person puts protectors under the furniture. Still, even though Macy did not do that, there was no staining. I am going to request Macy again, and insist she come alone. My husband can put the protectors under the carpet, Macy, since you are alone, just bring them with you. Macy forgot to renew for three rooms, as they have a plan to pay up front at a discount and three times per year you get the cleaning without extra payments. When I brought it to the manager's attention, the manager didn't charge for the extra room, and renewed it for 3 rooms instead of the two rooms she had done, without charge. The initial visit with the technician who first came out was great and he was knowledgeable and friendly. we paid to have a very ledge oriental rug cleaned so they sent it to Dallas and it would come back within 2 weeks. 2 1/2 weeks later they contacted us that the rug was ready for delivery. I took off one morning since they gave me a delivery window of 8-12. they sent text to let me know he was on the way. when he arrived he started to walk in but it wasn't our rug so he apologized and then came back with the large pad we had also purchased as he starter to roll it out I asked where was my rug and he had no idea!! he called his office and was told it was left at the warehouse. we set up another time for delivery and their truck broke down! later I learned that my rug cleaning has actually been cancelled by accident and it was never here. fast forward to Saturday now and I finally got it delivered. No response from their corporate office or the local manager. They send techs out without proper tools to trim the pads and without any info to tacJoe problems. What a bad deal, first of all we booked a service on JUN 8 with a window from 11am to 4pm. They finally arrived at about 7pm but since it takes about 1 hour for service and 4 to 6 hours to dry we rescheduled for following day. In the past they have two (2) people with each vehicle but this time there was only one person. He entered house and asked to see the rooms he would be cleaning. We asked if he was going to put on booties over his shoes before going on the carpet and he said he would if we wanted him to. Did not seem too happy to have to do this. He then advised us that he was going to bring in his hoses and other equipment through the main entrance to the house , We asked if he had a shield to cover open space. he said yes and went to vehicle. He advised us that someone had removed the shield from his vehicle and left our door cracked opened about 5 inches. He worked very fast and it was more like a vacuum job instead of cleaning and he did not move any of the furniture he just worked around it. I advised him that he should apply more cleaning to a few areas where there is more traffic and he advised me that those were stains and not dirt, I advised him that that was a traffic area not stains. He stated that they did not offer that service. Over all we paid $165 for a very poor service and cleaning job. We will NEVER use this company again. The first thing the man did when he arrived was offer us more service at extra money when we declined he did a pretty fast job and never showed concern about our front door being left open. The results are "not horrible" (or sometimes "horrible"). Sometimes they wheedle in a trip charge or a "mileage charge". One time their no-name water pump broke halfway through the carpet cleaning. (But not Stanley Steemer!) We are 100% satisfied with repeated business and the local folks at Stanley Steemer. Their trucks are clean, their equipment is top-notch, their employees are extremely polite - and their results stand out among a sea of "Others". They have flexible scheduling, they give you a call before the appointment, and they accept all kinds of payment. I called on Tuesday (like - "yesterday"), and they had an opening today (Weds) in the morning. They were prompt and ready to go when they arrived. The technicians - Johnny Gonzales and Kelsie Lunan - did a great job! They surveyed the work, verified the rooms to clean, found a couple pet spots (from our now-gone 18-year-old cat), and set to work. Great team and teamwork here! Showed up on time, same day appointment. Extremely friendly staff both on the phone and in person. Techs immediately, but politely pointed out spots that would need to be treated (Beige carpet and they noticed tiny spots of pink juice!) and worked very quickly and efficiently. Their manager was there for a random inspection and overview, he introduced himself as well and was very professional. I am a pet owner and let's be honest-- pets have accidents! They did not make me feel like I had a dirty house or was a bad pet parent, they simply referred to the areas as "your dogs' hot spots" and I appreciated that.
