What a bizzare experience. I walked into the store and there no one around. I found this attendant guy behind a counter who was packing a box. He directed me to the doctors office further back in the store, where I met the sales associate- he was the only one for the whole store. After some discussion it was determined that prescription lens couldn't be made for the glasses I had, and I was asked to select another pair in the store. They were having a sale- two for one. Wow! What a trashy selection! The frames were made in China and looked like something you'd see a vendor selling on the street in some third world country! I wanted to check my eye prescription before ordering some new glasses online and made an appointment online. That didn't work so I called the store and while on the phone I asked if the PD was included in the eye exam and the agent said it was. I went and ended up waiting while the supposed doctor found her phone more important then the customer in front of her and when I finally got in my prescription I asked about the PD and she said to ask the sales people who upon asking started getting very aggressive about how that isn't something they do and NOBODY would have said that on their phone and if they did "well it's a call center you know - they don't know..." ATTITUDE not worth going and prescription wasn't even correct. How do I know? It means my eyes must have dramatically improved in the last year and well I'm at an age were its much more likely they have gotten worse. I wish I had seen the reviews before I went to the Boca Raton location. From start to finish, this was the worst experience ever. If you value your eyesight do not get your glasses here First, they lost my prescription, then they failed to schedule my scheduled appointment, quoted a price and then failed to honor it. After four visits back and forth and over a month wait for glasses that were so inferior they were unwearable and caused headaches and blurred vision. They fabricated my refund and I had to return yet again to try and get my money back. Apparently the store manager has no patience for patient complaints anymore. Avoid this place like the plague. I got my eye exam and I purchased lens here. I did not like the frames they had in the store, so the blonde manager told me that I could bring them other frames and they would fit the lenses into the frames I purchased elsewhere. She was so nice, so friendly, and gave us a discount. But, after I purchased the lenses, I experienced the absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! First, The blonde manager was so rude every time I came back to the store afterwards. She couldn't be bothered to answer any of my questions. Second, when I came and dropped off the frames the guy took my name, the frames, and I explained were were putting my prescription lens into the frames. He said great and told me they would be ready in a week. About two hours later, Christian called me and said he had no idea why these frames were here or what they were doing with them. Third, they said my lenses would be fitted to the frames in a week... it took two weeks. Fourth, when I called to check on the status of the frames, the man who answered the phone cut me off and placed me on hold as I was explaining I was checking on the status of the frames. Fifth, now after having my frames for about a month, the lens in the just popped out. Never again! read more

From the moment I walked through the door - it was a sad experience. Four employees at the front desk didn't even notice I had entered Then I waited to speak to some one about exam to get progressives. After a few minutes a guy came over and asked if I needed an eye exam. I explained I wanted to know the approx costs. I offered my last Optical Rx and after a minute he said. Your eyes are real bad. This is not a typical prescription. I asked him the costs for progressive lenses. He told me $710. I asked if there was a way to get a lower coat and then he said maybe we could do $640. I simply said thanks but I couldn't afford that since I'm a retail employee at the mall across the street so he handed me back my prescription. my husband took the exam at Glades Stanton Optical, Boca Raton, on February 13th and bought 2 pairs of glasses, they said it would be ready in 10 to 14 days. However, when he passed on February 25th he was surprised that his glasses had not yet been ordered, I don't know why .... Attendant Jessica said she would order on the same day (25th Thursday) and be ready on the 26th Friday, I don't understand how she would do it. He returned on Saturday the 27th to see if it was ready and yes it was ready but with the wrong lenses, they asked me to take the old glasses to check the lenses. After that he realized that they are bad at what they do. They said that Monday, March 1, would be ready, he went on Tuesday, the 2nd and was not ready, he was seen again by Jessica, he asked for the return of the full money, because I don't know if the exam is correct or not. However, she only returned the money for the glasses, claiming that the exam cannot be returned (even if she doesn't know if the exam is correct or not). How will he make glasses elsewhere ???? He will probably have to take an exam again in a more reliable place. If he knew he had seen these reviews before, what surprises me is being rated 3.6 and most reviews have only one star. Went in for a pair of glasses, I wanted their promo ones. The frame options for their promo glasses were very poor (ALL SUPER UGLY of course) but I went for it. The did the eye exam half with someone on site and the other half with a very robotic talking girl over the internet which I assume she does "the whole Florida" clientele for a minimum wage because of the way she took care of me. The moment I got back to the counter a young guy tried to sell me, right away, a "better option" since the ones they offered me first (their famous promo) was NOW, acording to him, not such a good quality lens and plus was VERY THICK !! So if I wanted something better he was going to give me "as a favor" the 50% off. The moment I refused to it his attitude change 100%, then I asked why they didn't tell me in advance that the cheap line was such a bad idea to start with and why they even offer such a bad deal. Things just got hotter and the same guy told me as I'm walking out of there "next time Guillermo you look better what you're getting yourself into" in front of other employees and a customer. WORST SERVICE EVER ! They're a bunch of scammers !!! Now I got the eye exam done somewhere else and just placed the order online for half of their price and way far better frames ! read more

My husband purchased eyeglasses on June 22nd for almost $700.00. It was a buy one, get one free. The first pair arrived in 10 days. We are still waiting for the second pair after a month. The online order status has been posting that it is in transit for weeks. No one has helped us in the store. The manager has never called us back. Terrible. First, I made an appointment at 6:15, which I thought was great bc it's after work. While making it, I'm asked if this is for contacts or glasses. Huh? I've worn glasses since I was 10 years old and I have never had to make this distinction. Come to find out, if it's "for glasses" the doctor isn't even present. Who has ever heard of an eye exam where you don't see the doctor? But that's how they get people in the door bc they just use some equipment to "see the refraction in your eye" and give you a glasses prescription. Then I'm told the doctor leaves at 6:00, so I'm out of luck bc I want an actual eye exam. So I came out in the rain for nothing. Bear in mind I got there at 5:45. I was early and the doctor had no one else, so she could have seen me. No apology, just an excuse that the call center made the mistake scheduling me for a "contacts exam" after 6:00. Garbage service and genuinely questionable practices, calling something an eye exam when you don't even see the doctor and have the health of your eyes checked. I'll gladly take time off work to go somewhere that has staff and a doctor who care and work to accommodate and rectify the situation when they have made a mistake. read more

I recently needed a pair of special prism glasses and went to Stanton Optical on Glades Road in Boca Raton. I wanted good value (they provide two pair) but also, more importantly, a job well done. I got both! The staff was helpful especially Cristian and the Douglas the Optician. The glasses were ready sooner than expected and when I picked them up everyone was so pleased at the outcome. Got my first pair 5 years ago. When I put them on they are like looking thur a coke bottle, so blurry, I got an immediate headache. I was told my eyes had to get use to them. So I had to drive on I95 that night, and ran off the road into the breakdown lane, thats how bad I could not see. I went back to the store, no one seemed to care? They remade my glasses, and made them right. But all in all I had to wait close to 3 weeks? Not right. Now on my second visit a few yrs later, and promised up to 10 days, over 10 days, and NO glasses yet. Called the store, and No one knows anything, and offers no help. Stanton Optical advertises same day eyeglasses, but be careful! AFTER paying $45 for my eye exam, I was made aware that not all their stores provide this service. When I complained about this, the manager told me rather frostily that she only cares about her own store, and can't control what the company advertises. There was a man there that made a couple of phone calls to someone in another store to see if he could put a rush on the order and get it on a UPS truck for me the next day. Yes, he was trying to accommodate me, but it seemed like a laughable way to do business. He then actually got annoyed with me because I wouldn't make the purchase on a "Maybe they'll be here in two days" suggestion! I purchased glasses here a year and a half ago. They remade the glasses at least once because they weren't right - my old ones worked better than the new script! This was the 2nd MyEyeLab I went to because the first one had the same problem - made them twice and still my old ones were better. This location, after a total of 4 pairs of glasses, gave me the best ones yet, but still not $250 worth. Nonetheless, I needed new glasses, new is what i got, but not better. Staff is wonderful and helpful, I have to honestly say that. They wanted to make it better, but after 4 times, enough is enough. A few weeks ago, I went to an independent optometrist. They looked at the glasses MyEyeLab made for me that I ended up with, and found that the angles were reversed on my glasses! The angle of the right lens was what should have been in the left lens and viceversa! There was NO POSSIBLE WAY I would be able to see clearly with these glasses! Wish I'd read the reviews b4 here. Went there on Thursday for glasses for my 11year old daughter and am still waiting (they said would be ready by Saturday). Have yet to hear from them. Now for details: The doctor did conduct a very thorough exam. I'm confident that the prescription will be correct. The staff for the most part was friendly and helpful. I do however, dislike the huge bait and switch. So as where our entire cost should be $99 ( two pairs of complete glasses w/a free eye exam). My bill was $245? How can this be? Well they charged me for lenses and not for the set, but for each one! I will be debating this issue when I go to pick them up. Will report back. read more

They couldn't get the lens correct & kept telling me the frame was the problem which was not the case at all. After asking for a full refund they told me they couldn't do it & would give me 4 free frames for the year... Don't bother going to this place. I spent hundreds of dollars on 2 pairs of glasses, they don't bother to fit you, they want you out the door never to return. I came back to get one of the frames reformed because they keep widening PLASTIC. They make you feel like you're a bother and I got chastised for coming in at 6:10 to get them adjusted even though they have technicians working until 6:30. I lost my glasses a few days before I left for a five week trip. I went in that same day to get glasses, as I called ahead, and was told that they could be ready in "as soon as one hour". I picked out two pair of frames, and they told me that my glasses would be ready in one hour. I returned after one hour, and they messed up the lenses. Then, I was told that it would take a week to get the glasses, since the lenses I needed were "not in stock". I explained that I had already told them I was leaving in a few days, and could not wait a week. I was told that I would be no problem. My card would be credited. It was quite late on a Friday evening, so I immediately went to Lenscrafters, and they had my glasses ready the next morning. A week later, I called Stanton, to ask why nothing was done to credit my card. They turned me over to a manager that was very nasty to me and told me that the glasses were mine, and he was the new manager, and that I was never told that the glasses would be ready in less than a week!!! The entire office was unprofessional and disorganized, not to mention I was misled and then treated badly. I was shuffled from person to person, and just did not feel good about the level of service I was getting, but I was desperate to get replacement glasses. DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE! read more

Let me start by saying I did not receive an eye exam here. I have been going to my eye doctor for years and don't plan on going anywhere else however I find the prices for eyeglasses very expensive considering majority are designer brands and I wear contacts 75% of the time. So I took my prescription into stanton, my husband and eye picked out glasses. The service was great, the young lady pointed us towards the glasses that were buy one get one free, and she ended up giving us another pair at 40% off. All in all 3 pairs of glasses for $130 bucks. I can't say much about the service from the doctor since I wasn't examined but if you're looking for cheap glasses this is the place. Our order was ready about 2 weeks after. There's a reason this place has 2 stars on Yelp and it's because of the staff. They are rude conniving degenerates. Walked in for the promotion buy one get one plus fee eye exam for $59. Ok cool...told them thag when I walked in. They asked if I needed to renew my contact lenses exam I said sure, what they didn't tell me is that it was an additional $90 and voids the offer....how do you not mention this to the customer?!?! I know why...bc they are shister who try to play you. When the bill came to $500 I was pissed...not at all what I was expecting and have had in the past at this location. The sales manager didn't offer one apology and just kept saying it's my fault! And wouldn't take off the exam so I could get my glasses like I originally wanted, he would have rather not made any sale at all than not get his way...never in all my years have I heard of a manager saying no thanks to a sale lol...I'm telling you these people are idiots. . I spent 1.5 of my time for literally nothing. I walked out with nothing. No RX no glasses and without a single apology from the sales manager. Nothing but a snarky attitude. Avoid, very deceptive and misleading. I had a 20% copay to replace glasses under the warranty. The original lenses cost me $240, but now with the warranty with the exact same lenses were now $600, So they wanted a $120 to replace the lenses. How can glass go from $240 to $600...
