The worst customer service ever. We had a lady next to us agreeing with us the entire time saying how she's been in customer service for 20 years and staples by far is the worst place she's been to. I asked the blonde cashier if this is where I paid and she looked at me and said 'over there' Ive worked in customer service and that's not how you talk to people she should of said 'you can pay over here someone will be with you in just a moment.' As the lady called for someone to help us all the other employees walked away to the back... as we are still waiting at the cashier for someone to help us all the other employees are just staring at us and literally avoiding us at all cost possible. The employees who were refusing to help us weren't doing anything. Ryan finally came and typed his login into the computer so the lady could help us. Mind you Ryan made eye contact with me multiple times and was hiding behind the shelves as we were waiting to be helped. I never once got an 'I'm sorry for the wait', was never greeted when I walked in or even helped around the store. The store was not busy what so ever. By far the worst customer service. read more

The service at this Hanford store lacks customer service and frankly they don't seem to care. Odd since when you walk through the doors there is usually a "Hi" but after that it's down hill especially if your looking at the ink replacement wall. I was looking for cartridges for 2 of our offices printers and after looking for 10 minutes, having 2 people from that section bypass me I could not even get an eye contact acknowledgement. I went to this staples location to buy something. I couldn't find what I was looking for and of course I have to ask for helped. Well, that didn't go as i thought it would. I asked 3 different associates for helped and they didn't guide me to the right place, finally I waited for the computer associate who didn't want to answer my question because he had someone waiting on him.. but I got pretty upset and I literally told him, I don't need your help, I just have a quick question, I got my answer after 30mins of wondering, just to find out they didn't have what I was looking for. Over the years, like all business big and small they have only one opportunity to make your visit perfect; however, I would caution that have you created a situation that might have put you into a negative situation. Well, I have been dealing with this store long before I retired, and the one constant has been - communications and the issues disappear. Kayvette, the Store GM and her senior staff headed up by Heaven, John, Tony, and her printing service staff lead by Alex and assisted by Chad run one mean machine. Yes, I have had a hiccup or two but coming from the people-oriented environment in senior management, one item was constant, thus they get to the root cause and make it right. When I need something for my office, you can bet I'm going to hit up Staples either on their local site or their online store. Either way, I'm going to come out ahead. As a business owner who must keep supplies stocked and have working printers and other office equipment, it is a pleasure to do business with Staples. I reluctantly joined the little Staple Club thing which means I get an attractive key chain tag which I promptly lost in the bottom of my purse, but it's no problem because all I have to do is give them one of my five phone numbers and voila, I'm in like Flynn. The cashier may become somewhat shell-shocked as I run through all the possible phone numbers but the happy smile is still on their faces, and they are convincingly cheerful. The cool thing about the Staples card is that you "earn" back some of the hard earned cash that you spend on items purchased there. This can add up to a fair amount which can then be spent in the store on other stuff. I am treated like a valued customer each and every time I am in the store. I also enjoy having things sent to my business at no charge when I order things on line. This is especially handy for me as I do not live in Hanford and really appreciate having Mr. Delivery Guy bring my purchases to me with no effort on my part. The online catalog is enormous and stocks all sorts of strange things which may be difficult if not impossible to find in a brick and mortar store. I came here the other day to print off a resume. The printer wasn't working, but the guy working was very nice and came over to help troubleshoot the issue. Unfortunately, I was about to be late for class so I had to leave before the issue was fixed, but no big deal. I returned the next day, hoping that the issue would have been fixed, but it wasn't. These things happen, though. Only this time around, the young lady working was not nearly as friendly. I asked her if there was another printer available, and she reluctantly agreed to let me use the computer near the bigger printing space. Then, when I asked for help pulling up my g-mail account, she was really rude. Instead of helping, she talked down to me like I should already know how to use their cloud system. Then, when she asked if black and white was ok, I asked her if I could do color instead, and she rolled her eyes at me. Literally. When she did finally print them off for me they were in black and white. Never coming here for printing again. read more

The literal worst Staples in existence. Stay AWAY! The customer service is awful. So awful!! We went in to use their new promotional 'fix water damage to your phone' thing that they are heavily promoting (TL:DR - it did not work, and they tried to take MORE money from me, rather than giving us our money back!) - first of all, NO ONE was around. It took 10 minutes for us to find ANY associates in the store. Did I mention that there were no customers in the store? Not a single one, but me! What were they doing? In the back smoking weed? Who knows! Seriously. 10 minutes and no one. Eventually we got the thing going - they did not know how to work it. It has step by step directions, WRITTEN ON THE BOX. And they didn't know how to work it. Then, get this, my phone is still broken. After I paid the $69. They asked me then to pay another $50 to send it to their "lab" who the heck knows where... Yeah, right. Anyways, after politely refusing, they tell me, "sorry, too bad it didn't work, have a nice day" and start to walk away. Um, no. The promotion clearly states, if it doesn't work, I don't have to pay. I want my $69 back. The guy had to call his manager, because he said the promotion was wrong and I wasn't going to get my money. Then, he took down all the stuff that said you'd get your money back. After I made it clear I wasn't going to stand for that, they relented and gave me my money back, but they still took down the promotional material that was plastered all around saying you'd get your money back - clearly, they are trying to be shady! BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT GO TO THIS STAPLES! EVER! They will cheat you if they can, and they will not give you ANYTHING resembling good customer service!! read more

Staples has really gone down hill over the past few years. There's always seems to be somebody 'new' there. Staples Doesn't seem to retain experienced employees much. Computer repair service charges exuberant fees, not in competition with local repair services at all . Usually an assistant manager is busy rushing around or "somewhere." Store's regular manager seems to be off every time I go there. Nothing is really bad, just mediocre. Staples used to be a super place to go, today it is a dull, gloomy, non-motivating place to go. A friendly greeting upon entry to the store from personnel and is a thing of the past. I would not be terribly surprised if it was the next store to shut down, especially with Costco in the area now. read more

I used to work at Staples in So Cal and I do not trust the poorly managed company, so I decided to call in 7 hours later (3:00 pm) to check on my order status. The lady said she had never even heard of my order! Well geez, that is reassuring. She said no worries, I will receive a call when they are ready shortly. Well next day and still nothing. If you're looking for a deal on office supplies, I probably wouldnt come here first - I can walk over next door and get bic pens at the 99 cents store for example. If you notice, i check in here quite often...so what is it about this place that has me coming back for more? a contract. of course. back in august, i thought i had a virus that ate all my files. i did not. i murdered my files by accident. it happens (dont think i didnt hate myself for months after). I took the laptop in, at the time believing it was virus. I should say here they get a star for being open on a Sunday when my local computer repairman is not. Long story short, i bought some expensive year long warranty coverage plan. Turns out i didnt need to spend all that $$$ because there was no virus like i mentioned. they still kept my cash. i thought they'd take pity on me & offer my money back but nope. damn. But I ended up using that coverage a few months later; so i used it twice so far. I dropped water on it (i can't be helped) & was too much of in horror to cry. i put it upside down to drain and wished for the best (late sunday night). Early Monday i went in, and the guy told me to take out the battery, put both in a bag of rice for a day so it can absorb the moisture. if that didnt work come back. IT WORKED. yes! So that employee gets 4 stars (because he has patience w/ me - i've gone to him before). They are kind of pricey, but their hours are a bit more convenient for me. will i renew my warranty contract/insurance thing? Highly doubtful ( i say that now, ha...) The service was good here. I had 3 sets of copies made for a client meeting an hour later. The print shop printed them in color and spiral bound them. The girl that helped me was friendly and got the job done quickly. I didn't have the bad experience that the other reviewers seem to have had. But then again I wouldn't normally give a review to Staples unless there was a problem. They are super fast at making an address self-inking rubber stamp! I was very pleased especially after the first one came with a 6 pt. font, and they fixed it for me and within a few hours was ready for pick up. read more

The Hanford staples rocks!! Excellent customer service provided by Kenny! We went in to buy a printer on Black Friday and received excellent customer service from Kenny. We realized the following day that we had purchased a printer that only printed black and white copies (our fault, as we did not ask for help, we thought we knew what we were doing). We brought the printer back to return it. The return went smoothly thanks to Kenny. Kenny then helped us choose a printer that fit our needs from the wide selection. He helped us find the correct ink as well. Kenny also helped us get the best price (both days) for the printer and ink. We are extremely satisfied customers!! It's nice to get good customer service from a large retail chain. read more

1) Online purchase then store pickup was $15 cheaper than in store purchase that day. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing and they don't care 2) My Staples reward card was hacked before I could use it. $40 stolen and nobody will check on it. Went in to staples today and was frustrated ordered from their availabe computer for an on-line item anyways the receipt said coming in on Aug.18th and today it's the 19th. They showed me the receipt and said I can use the tracking num to locate my item I said "NO", "you can do that " (hello!!! that's part of their customer service). Worst Staples ever been too. Customer service is very poor. Bought a projector and it was not what we Were looking for. We went to return before the 14 day policy and the staff kept making us going in circles they did not want to refund our money. We went everyday and they had an excuse. They told my wife to come back at 5 so she called to confirm and told her that the money was ready to be picked up, when she got there the same story that they didn't have the money. We just called and confirmed. And now they don't have my money??? Are they crazy or what finally had to make some noise and they sorted the problem in a few min. Do not go here!!!
