Wow. This computer/printing workstation is a joke. Every single time I go almost none of the computers or printers are working. Don't bother asking the employees for help. I'm already being charged by the minute on the slowest computer to exist since dial-up internet but then trying to get the attention of a sales person for help while the meter is running is hopeless. Once you have their attention they will most certainly not help you. The girl behind the counter literally didn't even turn around to acknowledge I was speaking to her she just shook her head no. Do not send your projects here to be printed. I have made the mistake of sending a second project here, I should have learned my lesson after my first experience, which was that of the same as this one. My order was supposed to be ready to pick up, I never received my confirmation email so I called. They said it was ready..awesome...they called back saying there was a printing error, and told me that they would re print it right away and call me back. I never got a call back. I called again, was put on hold with two different people until someone HUNG UP on me. At this point I went straight over there. They did not fix the printer and nothing was printed. I ended up being late for work because I had to stay and wait, I ordered this print days ago so that I wouldn't have to worry about rushing around. DO NOT PRINT HERE. As a graphic designer I have had lots of experience with printers and printing centers, this was very miss managed and unorganized, I will NOT do business here again. read more

They gave me a fast turnaround with printing a medium size project that is a plus. The staff was nice and professional but when my prints were not perfect the associate was like 'oh well that is the way it comes out' instead of suggesting to redo to make it better. Also, they are little pricey in comparison to other printing agencies. I would return if I am in a pinch but if I have time to spare I would definitely go somewhere else. read more

I need to contact the corporate office. I don't understand why I can't print a photo at Staples on photo paper. This location told me that they cannot print individual photos on Photo Paper and it needs to be on regular paper. Wth. I'm not asking for it got free. Unbelievable. Yelp is partial to businesses because you must give a rating of at least one star. I have never been successful in getting my newsletter printed using the web because of problems with it. That's ZERO stars, not one. Yesterday, I had to call Staples because the price given on the web was more expensive than the store price. They informed me it was because I had to select 24 lb paper to get the cheapest price. Oh. So you have to work for the company to know what to pick. After spending 30 minutes uploading a large file, getting everything correct, I tried to save the file on their site. It broke down, with a Staples message saying they are aware of the problem. You wouldn't tell us before we use the site? Stupid me tried again, this time without saving the file, just ordering. Same thing. Staples is a company with many problems. Absolutely the most rediculous service I have ever received. Not only would anyone help me, they literally thought about helping then verbally said they decided against it. This place is terrible: it's understaffed and disorganized. If you are going for some copies or printing, there's no telling how long it will take. The equipment often doesn't work, and I recall printers weren't compatible with Mac-formatted flash drives. I travel to other neighborhoods to get work done rather than go 2 blocks to my neighborhood Staples. read more

Busy store with good customer service. I live in the area and I am grateful to have a Staples store nearby. Whatever I can't find in the store, I can order online and have it delivered to the store for free delivery. Staples return policy is quick and easy and their customer service reps are eager to help you find what you need. read more

i've never experienced a more hellish place. printing services are terrible- seriously horrific, trying to get something as simple as 5 copies made of a single 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper is impossible and they will all look different and bad and you'll tell them "please just forget about it" but you'll still have to pay for them even though you'll just end up throwing them in the trash. the last time i was there the person working yelled "i'm going to kill myself," which really added to the nightmarish vibe. it always ends up taking forever because it's way understaffed and I feel very bad for the folks working. i always go there thinking "there's no way they can mess this up" but it manages to happen every time. read more

Had the worst experience at this location. Came in to print and all the printers were broken. 45 minutes later I walked out with nothing printed. Customer service was terrible and no one was willing to give me actual assistance. About 10 other people were waiting around too. I was told to print from one of the computers, which would cost additional money per min in addition to printing cost, and even this was broken! Terrible. The senior employee hide. They are next to useless. I know it is hard to get good workers in the city, but this place is ridiculous. They let a friend of mind use the restroom and then the employee who let him opened the door on him to "check on him." read more

This staples is the worst in Washington Heights (In my opinion) it was such a mess, the lines were super long and you had to wait about 20 min , worst of all was that there was no AC, everyone was sweating, and there were barley any supplies. read more

I won't be returning to this Staples location. It's the only Staples store in my area, but after this last experience, I'd rather make the trip downtown to avoid this particular store. I went to print a few copies of my resume from a flash drive--a pretty simple task, or so I thought. The two employees working the Print & Copy station clearly could not have cared less about their jobs. The employee working behind the counter walked around like a zombie, and the woman attempting to assist people with the copy machines, computers, etc., barked orders and questions and ignored the majority of the people waiting for help. A group of at least 10 people were crowded awkwardly around the copy area waiting for assistance, and after close to 15 minutes waiting around, I left. Don't waste your time by visiting this location. The store is disorganized and the employees are rude and unhelpful. read more

when instead of going to your nearest store, the one in your neighborhood... you have to travel downtown to get a decent service ... then there is a problem! had a n interview today left 2 hours before interview to make extra copies of my resume.... big mistake .....waste 30 min with a rep just trying to add $2 unto a staples card. this store is beyond inefficient. i've worked in management they need someone to reshape the infrastructure: machines are not working properly, staff lacks training. ughh ive had problems in the past but im definitely not bringing my business here, i rather take train to downtown where there is more accountability in other stores. read more

If i could put a ZERO i would... im writing this review late because i actually had bought a computer because mine was brand new and kept getting messed up after i took it to staples. Basically i took my computer to get checked in 2010 it was new never gave me problems. So when i got there i shouldve seen the RED FLAG when the easy tech guy told me we had the same computer and if i used it to burn dvds.... he explained how he loved it. Long story short i went back got my Pc days later it was messed up again( needed software reinstalled) , went back they gave me a story on how sometimes the computers do that. So i really needed to use it and everything seemed like a dead end so i just went and bought a laptop. Ok so now years later i decide to take a look at it again and when i re installed software, kept getting same problem. The reason why is because he took out my whole DVD Burner from my computer, the cd part never opened and the headphones jack didnt work. If i wouldve noticed right then and there i wouldve done some damage to that man. Im really upset about this but guess what thats who staples hires a bunch of thieves. thee audacity to take something from my computer no wonder it didnt work. I tried calling staples but they never oick uo just BEWARE people Please ... They need to hire reliable employees put cameras everywhere or something. unless a manager was involved. I say Beware of ALL staples too because when i bought the new laptop i bought it from 125st Location a month later messed up (brand new) when i get dell to fix it they old me it was because the parts inside were used!!The employees are obviously switching parts. The manager offered to give me a new one but why would i run the chances of getting one with the same issue after dell fixed mine. I never write reviews but after a month of being able to calm down, I felt compelled to do so. I went to Staples to have my mother's funeral programs printed out 3 days before the service. Since everything was in order on a flash drive, I figured this would be a simple job as I have done this before for a friend of mine. I took a chance to go to this Staples in my neighborhood as I usually head downtown. One of the biggest mistakes ever!! I brought my own scored cardstock (which I paid a lot of money for and special ordered online) and wanted to have Staples print the programs. I was assured that the job would be handled with special care and was even given a sample of what the program would look like. The rep told us to come back in a few hours and they should be ready. Upon returning several hours later, the original sales rep was gone for the day and someone else was completing the order. She handed us a sample and to my horror, they were hand stapling the programs and they were an atrocious, sloppy mess! I was almost in tears as this was my mother's funeral program and I wanted them to be beautiful! They apologized that they didn't have the machine on hand to staple cardstock and they usually send them out to do a job like this! What?! Even if they were hand stapling, what about quality and workmanship? Is that how you handle a job that someone is paying for? Why didn't the original rep ensure that the job was going to continue to become out the way she started it before she passed it off to an employee who clearly had no care of what she was doing. They offered to redo them on lesser quality cardstock but after the manager made a phone call, she said they couldn't do it and offered to refund my money. Now I had 2 days before my mother's funeral to have them re-done without the cardstock that I purchased. Do you think a refund would make that all better? Is this what I want to be stressed out with 2 days before my mother's funeral?! I should have went to a Staples downtown to begin with. This is what I had to do anyway where in less than 1 1/2 hours they printed the programs professionally and neatly. I wish I can give this store zero stars. read more

I came back to this Staples again despite my horrible experiences in the past. I came in this time to print one 4x6 photo at the copy & print center to put in a frame. They wasted over half an hour of my time and they could not even resize the picture correctly. First they had me print out a large photo on my own which they originally charged me for (I had them reimburse me at the end). They wanted to resize the picture that was already pixelated and I told them not to because the end result would turn out pixelated. Then they tried to resize it on the computer and they couldn't figure that out either. I ended up getting on the employee computer for them to try to help. They brought the manager over and even she couldn't figure it out. In the end I told them that they wasted way too much of my time and I'd like to get reimbursed and be on my way. Even that took them some time. I figured that a place that prints photos for a living would be able to a simple job like printing one photo but I guess that's too complicated for this staff. To be fair they were trying to be helpful but they weren't capable. If you need a photo printed, you're better off even doing it on your printer at home then going to this staples. read more
