I ordered my first brochure ever. I was told by Staples printing staff employee... who turned out to be a manager... that if I printed on 60 lb paper or higher, the fold would be rough as it would tear the fibers and look bad... This is completely untrue! I have seen with my own eyes thick card stock paper folded.. and the fibers don't tear! So I did some research..this being my first brochure.. and I learned from both AI as well as later this morning from a professional printer's office... that what the manager said is completely uninformed. I ordered a brochure to be printed on thicker 60 lb paper yesterday and was going to fold it myself using a 'scoring tool' that prevents the fold fibers from tearing.. according to my AI research... I was very clear twice, "DO NOT FOLD" the brochure. I got an email last night my order was ready.. I went in to pick it up this morning, and told it wasn't ready. I replied I had received an email--The order was found.. but the brochure was folded! I said the order would have to be redone..as I was using a scoring tool, to fold myself so the fibers wouldn't tear.. and the brochure looked horrible.. the folds looked horrible, and the fibers were all torn on the fold. The printing person who had taken my order and was giving me such ill informed advice would turn out to be the 'manager!" She insisted my scoring tool wouldn't work! Seriously? The manager had no choice but to agree to redo the oder.. as they had not followed instructions. But I would have to come back tomorrow. Feeling a bit dismissed and worried about my hard deadline of tomorrow at 8 PM... I decided to call the store and speak to a manger just so they could provide some oversight and reassure me my product would be completed, as order by end of tomorrow. Guess who I was transferred to unknowingly? I I shared politely I felt a bit "put off by the way the employee in the printing department was handling the matter, and was worried that I wouldn't get the finished product in time. The 'manager' admitted to being that same person in the printing department..and then proceeded to become challenging and defensive..not at all understanding. The manager told me that she was getting ready to print my brochure this morning. and wanted to do it herself so it didn't get folded. Which doesn't make any sense, as the folding option is a like a side dish you order and would be on the printing instructions, unless the manager didn't write the order correctly. She was rather rude yesterday when I placed the order. I asked for one copy to be printed so I could have a proof, and she rolled her eyes and demanded to know if I was going to place the order. I told her that I had to see a proof first to see if I needed to make any more tweaks as I had converted from pages to pdf format! She wasn't happy with me. She also sat at a back computer and I had to talk very loudly to give my personal information like phone number.. etc.. But I digress.. In my phone call with this manager this morning.. who had just admitted she was just getting ready to print my order... I said, why can't you just continue with that.. and print my order so it's ready today... and not send me to the back of the printing line! After all, they made the mistake! The manager's said she couldn't do that because my order "was already printed." I said I would like some consideration. I needed a solution The manager needed to go on a tirade of defensiveness.."I don't want you do defend yourself, I want to focus on a solution.." But she couldn't hear me... she wanted to punish and blame, so she offered to cancel my order if I wasn't pleased! When I reflected she was threatening to cancel my job when I was now behind a deadline due to their mistake....I asked to speak to her manager and she said he "wasn't in." I asked for his email and she said he didn't have one." But she didn't offer to put me in touch with him at all. She continued with her tirade and said she was "cancelling my order" and she hung up. Wow. Turned out to be such a huge blessing in disguise. I was panicked for about 1 minute and due to my hard deadline.... I called the closest printing place I could find (MixxxMan), it was like finding an oasis in the staples desert. They could do the job.. they recommend 110 paper (much better than 60 lb), they score the paper, there will be no fiber tearing at the creases.. The cost would only be 20. more! They would proof for any alignment errors (a service staples does not offer). Thank you staples for canceling my order..now I am going to have a superior product from someone who knows something about printing. I only have to forgive myself for enduring rude, dismissive and disrespectful treatment because I thought Staples was the only game in town. read more

Took my usb drive to print service on Sunday. I was told printing staff won't be here till 1:00pm and it's going to be extra charge if I wanted it before they closed. Does it matter someone would nor be around? Is store not opened for service? All negative comments nothing positive about this staff. I said I needed same day pick up before 6 then. I just wanted black and white only since it's $0.50 more than color prints. I had to call at 5:30pm to check on my order and found it they didn't have ready because it was put in as next day? I got there to pick up and I was charged for color prints. Do people listen when they asked customer what they want done? Very annoying lack of accuracy and and I ended up paying way more than expected. Staff was too negative for me. Sometimes I prefer not talking to live person. No one listens. They ask, but they don't listen. Not going back for more copies here. I'm going to try Fed Ex next time. read more

I just tried to get some help in the printing department iat Staples and the girl literally did not get off her seat. I could not hear her and she was on her phone texting the whole time she was speaking to me. I finally just walked out if you need help with printing, I definy wouldn't go to this Staples. read more

Ordered a print order to be picked up today. Received confirmation that it would not be ready until November 2nd. Tried to chat with agent. First agent stated that it would be shipped the 10th. 2nd agent said there was nothing she could do. Both were non empathetic on not helpful. read more

I have made several print orders from this Staples and have always had an easy and smooth experience. Most of my print orders are sent online, usually for same day or a quick turnaround. Most if not all of those quick turnarounds are ready way before the estimated print time. I always get a call from a team member to let me know when my order is ready for pick up. The store is clean and organized. Everyone I encounter is pleasant and helpful. I will continue to print from this Staples location whenever I can. read more

Love staples and help in buying things but in using the restroom found one of two toilets massively clogged and the useable toilet had no tp or soap or hand towels When I tried to tell the cashier she had a no worry who cares said yeah they didn't clean last night! Every time that I'm in this store, the staff treat me so well. They are all courteous, friendly, helpful and patient. Printing jobs are an easy process and usually taken care of very quickly. It's rare to write a good review for an office supply shop, I mean it's paper products, so how difficult can it be, but Staples went above and beyond in my case. Or rather Kevin, who helped me did. We were looking for an office desk chair. He went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions/concerns were met, and even went online to check their website to see if there was a promotion going on, which there was, saving us almost a hundred bucks! Way to go Kevin. I paid to have them put it together, and he called me about an hour later to let me know it was done. The next day when I picked it up he carried it out to the car for me and lifted it up so as he crossed the parking lot rather than rolling it to make sure grease didn't get on the wheels. He did all of this without prompting on my part, and was pleasant and smiling throughout. He could have been one of my grandkids humoring me with a smile, and it is nice to see somebody still doing their job with enthusiasm now a days. read more

My first visit to Staples after having moved to Queen Creek from California. I had purchased 4 open plastic file organizer crates which would not only serve to help me move my files, but keep the files organized in my new office cabinets. Unfortunately they didn't fit the office cabinets as I had hoped. I popped into the Queen Creek store in hopes of returning the 4 crates for store credit because I simply couldn't find the receipt. I was immediately contacted by "John" who was very friendly and eager to help me out. He said he might be able to locate my receipt in his computer system and got right to work doing just that He said he would go into the office where the computer worked much better. I waited for a time while he was busy in the office trying to locate the receipt. I had someone waiting for me in the car so I began to become weary of waiting then simply told another Staples employee to please tell John to just forget it, and that I would go home and look again for the receipt. The other night my husband and I were out so we decided to go in and try the return again since I checked my house high and low and was unsuccessful at finding the receipt. It just so happened that John was there again and again, eager to help. He told me that shortly after I left the first time I came in for the return, he had found the receipt online and that he not only had a copy of it, but tried calling me in hopes I would come back in the store for the return again. Basically when I left, I got store credit through John for $39.00 instead of what I would've gotten without the receipt, which was about $12.00. John went above and beyond to help me complete this return. He never acted bothered or inconvenienced in any way. He was always friendly, personable and professional. I just HAD to shout John out because its just an extremely rare event that anyone renders such OUTSTANDING customer service these days. From what I can see, John is a true stand out Staples employee and an excellent representation of what true care, kindness and customer service is all about! I just wanted to rave about Jim! We walked in not really knowing what to do as far as getting some prints and he was super nice guiding us every step of the way. When we had a hiccup and needed to resize our file he said leave it with me and I will work on it and call you when it's done. What a terrible experience... we got followed to the back of the store to be asked to wear a mask ... I am not able to wear a mask and the employee said she was not trying to be rude but we should order online then... and handed my husband two masks... two mask she just touched and contaminated and wanted me to put on my face no thank you... you need to teach your employees once someone states it's a medical reason they need to end the conversation and move on... I do not have to explain it twice... I just started a new business came To buy all my office supplies... including printers and computers etc... I went into the Queen Creek Staples today. I wanted some pictures printed on heaver paper. Zoey was so helpful and printed the pictures and cut them to the size I needed. To my surprise she didn't charge me, and I took up15 minutes of her time. I went in on Saturday looking for a computer chair. I didn't catch the gentleman's name, but he was so helpful and knowledgeable. I had the chair assembled to pick up when it was ready. I was called later in the day telling me it was done. I picked it up today and the kind gentleman put it in my car. I was greeted both time with the manager acknowledging me. Way to go Queen Creek Staples! read more

The copy center is a joke. Went in to have a copy made on a specific type of paper. She directed us to the copy machine. Was absolutely no help. She was sitting doing nothing and we ended up spending a lot more than if she would have just helped us! Horrible service! read more
