I like staples but I tried to return something to Amazon and the Chinese rep was rude in mailing dept. She wanted me to fill out paperwork I have returned to Amazon before and never needed to do this. I asked her she would not say. Then she looked for measuring tape could not find.There was a line of people. I asked her why was this necessary she would not say. Then she asked a worker to go get her a measuring tape. More time Then she asked me how I wanted to return a 40 dollar item. I asked why and she said return center was in Brooklyn. I live in Staten Island. She wanted me to pay 15 dollars I am a prime customer so I don't pay for shipping and returning. I told her forget about and left store. Very disappointed with her behavior. The fact that they had a whole sign and everything pre made for this occasion tells me it's a frequent occurrence. Please note that this is solely for the UPS/Amazon return dept. I use Staples pretty consistently for all of my UPS and Amazon returns. I have never had an issue until just now... I had dropped of a pair of Nike sneakers return to UPS at Staples. The other day, I got a package from Nike saying they were rejecting my return and in the box is a pair of Fabletics pants. I chatted with Nike and the Fabletics pants were what was returned to Nike. So someone took the sneakers and put Fabletics pants in there. The likelihood of a customer doing this is pretty slim so all signs point to an employee. I will never use Staples again for my UPS or Amazon returns. This is such shady behavior. read more

The customer service at printing and marketing is beyond horrible. I've been going to this location for years now and the service has really gone downhill. My most recent experience is what left a bad taste - when I expressed that I was not happy with the print out and that the colors were off, Caitlin rolled her eyes at me, walked off and had someone else help me. She has an attitude and should not be working in customer service. It's such a pity that now it's the only location on the island. read more

This review is solely for the UPS drop off. I sell sneakers online. The UPS DROP OFF at this location is horrendous. A year ago, I had 3 packages dropped off here on different dates that ended up never being scanned by UPS. I provided the drop off receipt to the worker and asked them if they can review the camera footage and they could not. I had to file a claim with UPS but never received the full reimbursement. This holiday season I swore to never used them, but decided to anyway for a few packages because they were the most convenient located from me and I hope they had gotten better. I dropped off a few packages at this Staples location on 1/7/25 and I specifically remember trying to stack my boxes on the bottom of the platform cart dolly so maybe if it were a customer taking my packages, it would not be easily accessible. A few weeks later I discovered 2 of the packages ended up never being scanned by UPS and I had to reimburse my customers and the packages I shipped them are no where to be found. I have the drop off receipt showing that Staples received them, but UPS never scanned them, which means these packages are being stolen. I have used other places to drop off my packages and never had any issues, it is only with this Staples. Need to get in touch with a manager ASAP. So far in total I have had 5 different packages never scanned and go missing from this Staples location, even though I have the drop off receipt from them. They refuse to take responsibility for this, saying they are only a drop off location and that I would need to contact UPS. These issues have not happened to me at other drop off locations read more

The people behind the counter are always busy but move quickly and are so friendly. I picked up an order with a few boxes the other day and one of the gentlemen offered to help me carry them to my car. Stopped by here on my way to ShopRite to pick up a ream of basic 8.5x11 paper. Got the paper, threw it in my bag, went to ShopRite - and saw that the grocery store had pretty much equivalent paper for over $2. cheaper. Really, the grocery store should not be beating the office supply store when it comes to printer paper. read more

Horrible service. Went to tech dept at 4pm on a Saturday to look for a certain a/v cable. Manage to find one sales assoc and while I was trying to ask him where the cables were he was walking away from me. Finally he stopped pointed to where they were and ran. There were no other CSAs any where to be found. So I decided to get on line (I was the only one at this time) to return the cables that I didnt want and stood there for a good 15 mins while 2 cashiers fumbled through one transaction. While supervisors and managers wandered. noticed and didnt do anything until there were 6 people behind me and getting audibly annoyed. Finally a "technology supervisor" opened up under protest because his manager told him to open. I tried to ask him about the cables I was looking for and he snapped at me that "we dont have them". Not "we ran out or we dont carry them you should look online". I work for Walgreens and know enough that this store has the worst Customer Service and non engaged leadership I have seen in a long time and this was my first visit to this store.
