The employees were nice and everything, but it's annoying that the machines turn off at a certain time it pretty much screwed up my whole weekend in regards to my events, because I couldn't print out what I needed to print. I came to this Staples printing service yesterday to ask about scanning my passport pages. The staff quoted me $1 per page, but told me I would need to wait about an hour. Since I did not have time to wait, I decided to come back the next day. When I returned today, I was suddenly told that they could not scan passports at all. I asked them to check again because they had clearly told me the day before that it was possible. The clerk reluctantly went to check with her supervisor, who confirmed that yes, they could scan it. However, when they quoted the price again, it was now over $2 per page, more than double what they told me the previous day. The inconsistent pricing and the dismissive attitude from the staff were very frustrating. It felt disorganized and unprofessional. Funny, upon entry I just stood there to look for the Amazon returns sign. It was right in front of me, but the sign was so small, I didn't see it at first. Anyway, it is to the right upon entry from the front door. A young lady assisted me with my return. She was super nice and pleasant. I only had 3 items to return. I don't know why I went to this location but mostly because it was not in the complete opposite direction of another errand I did today. The store is pretty massive. Signage isn't good in my opinion. I like to get in and out and not have to walk up and down every aisle to find what I am looking for. Anywho, I found the items I was looking for and checked out. The man at the front desk wasn't the friendliest and in fact slightly rude. Actually rude might be too mean. He was short with me? I don't know, but I have better experiences with the employees at the one on Ontario off Milliken. He seemed overwhelmed for some reason and it's not like it was busy. I had rewards to use, so coming here I wanted to use those rewards. Will use them at my local store next time around. read more

Wow. I worked I retail for 2 decades and I have never met anyone as colossally arrogant and rude. I purchased a gaming chair for 179. I hadn't realized that they hadn't given me the online price of 159. I came back for an adjustment. The cashier was kind and helpful. The manager came up and tried to charge me for another chair. I told him I just needed an adjustment on the price. He said that if he didn't charge me first I could just run off and not pay for the chair. He basically called me a thief. Good start. Then he said it was company policy to charge me twice and then return one. His system couldn't do it. How quick the story changes. I asked for his name, district manager, and corporate number. I came in desperate for a new good quality multi use printer because mine gave up on me on a busy Monday. As I approached the printer section, not sure exactly what to look for, Tony the assistant manager came to assist me. He educated me on the efficiency of each model and went out of his way to provide coupons, and even gave me a few tips on how to get more for my money. It is very rare to find these type of gems. This location is nice and spacious. Lots of selection. It's a Staples. The reason for the lower review is that every employee I encountered were rude robots. I understand that it's a McJob, but you are representing the company. I dealt with three different employees on this trip, and every single one of them was a monotonic Stepford wive robot. Not willing to go the extra mile for anything. I think I even dealt with two managers. They are the ones with the gray shirts and not the red ones. I could be mistaken with that point however. Horrible people skills. Fire every single one of these people in here and in put some new friendly people that actually care about the company and the customers. Freaking ridiculous! A one-stop shop for all things printing, office supplies, labeling, etc. I stopped in here tonight to purchase some clear address labels. There's always plenty of parking in this shopping center and I've never had a bad experience with any of the employees. Always allow extra time when using their print area. The employee(s) in that department are always running non-stop and are fair to help customers first-come, first-served. Only downside was that I was annoyed the cashier tried to up-sale me on both the rewards membership and a Staples credit card. So I went in the other day to put in an order to have something printed and spiral bound and when I went to go pick it up the next evening, it was misprinted. I think there must have been some miscommunication when I placed my order. However, the woman working the printing service department was super helpful and displayed incredible customer service. She was able to reprint my order correctly even when she had a couple orders to complete and I was able to pick it up right before closing. To the managers that work there: please commend the woman working the copy/printing service (11/25/19 between 5-8 pm). I cant recall her name but she was nothing short of amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure my order was in my hands when time was limited, to which I am extremely appreciative for. Thank you again! read more

Yesterday I went to Staples on Mountain Ave. in Upland in search of a 5 pack of HP ink refill cartridges. Since I recently changed to a different brand of printer and had not bought ink refills for more than 6 months I had sticker shock when seeing today's price. Staples Customer Service person, Jacob, immediately went online to compare the price with others, and I ended up getting a discount of more than $10. I would say, Jacob stands out above most others in giving a good customer experience. I hope at some point, that Staples will recognize his efforts. read more

Having read the reviews for this location, I came in with trepidation. I had foolishly bought some invitations on Etsy and had no idea how to get them printed. Having failed to figure out how to print them at home, in desperation, I took a chance that maybe, just maybe, someone could help me at Staples. I walked in, said a quick and silent prayer...you know the kind? Like, "Oh, Lord, please let this work out". I walked straight into a line. Everyone looked grumpy and disgruntled. But Daisy patiently walked me through every step...past her break...until I finally had my printing order in. Woot woot! She ended up helping me two days in a row. So...my story had a good ending. Here is some advice. Don't buy the liquid armor. They will tell you that scratches and cracks will be covered. And then when you go back in, the story changes. We purchased it based on what we were told and then when we went back in with a problem--we heard "oh tony sold it to him." Worst customer service. Where do I begin? I went to get some prints made and after waiting 20 minutes to get acknowledged, Adrian tells me there is another print place down the street that can do it faster in the future. So it's your practice to turn away customers? Then I was told it would be ready at 5:30 and to pick up by 8:00. I asked to pay, so I could send someone to pick up, but Adrian said to pay for it when I came back. At time of pick up, the entire store system was down and they said they wouldn't reboot the system because they would be closed by the time it came up. A few weeks ago, I was purchasing items in the Corona store and the lines were long, there was one register open and there were employees just standing around talking and laughing. Store was well arranged. Older woman, Lisa, at printer help desk was somewhat terse bordering on rude at first when I asked to print our resumes from a flash drive because our printer went down but after I talked with her a bit and mentioned I was a Lisa too and smiled at her, she warmed up quite a bit. Maybe a bad day or perhaps she's not great at initial contact with people. Glad it got better as it would have left bad taste for me. We then looked at printers and I was helped by Bradley. I had done my homework regarding inkjet vs laser but wanted to get his feedback and he concurred that laser was more pricey at first but saved on ink and was great quality. Bradley was a bit reserved but he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the various printers. While we didn't purchase at that time, we will be back.
