This review is for the Westchester store. Very disappointing customer service. I purchased an item online, as it was not available in the store. The item needed to be returned, so I went to the store to do the return. The clerk told me that since I ordered online I had to return it by mail. I went home and called Customer Service and was informed that I could definitely return it to the store. I returned to the store with all my paperwork in hand. Again, I was informed they could not accept the return at the store. I asked for the manager. He was unbelievably rude and told me that it was time for him to go home and he was "off the clock". He walked out. The next "manager". told me to just leave the item with her and wait to see a credit show up by email. I was not going to just leave the item without any proof. I insisted that she sign my receipt that she took possession of the item. Now I have to wait who knows how long to see a credit show up in my email. Then I have to go backs to the storer to make my purchase or order online and wait for it to be delivered. It will take at least 3 trips to the store to do a return! Unacceptable! Additionally, the store is sorely short-staffed. I'll go to Office Depot next time. read more

I should have gone to Kinkos. The print center was so slow and disorganized. They're PC's are so old that they couldn't read my pdf files. So, I had email them. There was only one employee working with 7+ customers waiting. She couldn't help anyone because she had no one to help her. Not sure why they would be so understaffed. I should have gone to a Kinkos. Went into the tech center to try to recover data from a damaged laptop. The employees did not seem motivated nor knowledgeable, which had me worried right off the bat. Behaviors like force-shutting down the laptop during boot process, and pulling on the power cord (not the plug) did not instill confidence. Since they said data could not be retrieved, I requested a replacement drive be installed instead. Afterwards I took the computer to a local repair shop, where I was told that data CAN be recovered after all! In addition, I found that my name had been spelled wrong on the newly installed drive, and now the User file can't be renamed! For $100 you'd think they'd actually spell a customer's name correctly. Definitely not coming here for any future computer trouble, that's for sure. read more

This is my friendly, neighborhood Staples store. I've been shopping at this location for years now for all my home/business 'clerical' needs & they always deliver. Today, I walked in for ink... literally printer ink and ball point pens and ended up scoring a PNY 32GB SD card for $2! With the optional, $4, 2-yr. protection plan, $6 total price. After the associate helped me find the correct cartridges and best deal, he asks... "Do you have a digital camera?" I quickly answered, "Why yes sir, I surely do!" Associate: "You want this SD card?" Me: "How much?" Salesman: "$2" Me: "What? 32 gigs..? Why so low... What's the catch??" Associate: "We're doing inventory and they just did a price drop on it. It's s a solid product." Ok, I'll admit computers aren't my strong suit. I was having an emergency and completely crying this day because my health insurance benefits were about to be cancelled and by any fault of my own. But I had to get this secured medical pdf file to print and and I had to fax them to the administrative offices by 5pm. As soon as I walked up I saw Shonte and immediately I got a good vibe from her and she assured me not to worry and she literally spent all the time I needed to help me accomplish this. Had to return them both because the scanners wouldn't feed. Is it Staples or have HP products turned into junk products now? I called right before heading over to ensure they had printing and scanning services to submit documents that were do that Friday afternoon. With the green light on the phone, I came only to be greeted by not so friendly customer service and a "we have a big print job so we're pushing those services out until Sunday." Really? I kept having to ask what other options there were-it seemed as I was interrupting her. They did offer printing services at one of their computer, but had above normal print rates, like $6 dollars for 5 copies. I needed to print and fill out docs, and while doing so an older man complained and asked for a manager to get scanning services, so I piped in. Still didn't get what I need as they were so backed up on the current queue, it would take at least an hour to scan our docs. I ended up going home, taking photos and formatting them into PDFs. I advised the manager that they needed to prioritize print job loads to provide equal service to all walk-in customers. Having the service available two days later is not acceptable. read more

I really dislike logging into Yelp to write a bad review, but unfortunately this specific location needs improvements. The most upsetting thing about my experience here was the transaction time it took for a $4 purchase. 10 minutes. The woman before me, took 10 minutes also for an ink cartridge. The computer was super slow and it clearly made the cashier uncomfortable dealing with annoyed customers at 815am. Oh, and she was blatantly texting and having her own conversation with her boyfriend instead of resolving the situation. George is the name of the manager working today. My sister went in with her 18 month old child. She had a mask on and her child did not. Children under 2 are not required to wear masks. She was in the store for 10 minutes no problem, gathered her belongings to purchase, then was told by George in person that she needed to leave & could not purchase her supplies because her 18 month old child did not havr a mask on. George told her he would "look into it." She called me in tears- because going out as a mom on errands is hard enough, being thrown out while in full compliance with ever-changing guidelines just compounds that. I called George & he admitted he hadn't even googled the issu, let alone contacted any competent superior who could help. Dear George, you lack compassion & competence. Best service in a Long, long time!! Rosa was totally Awesome. She went out of her way for everyone and she spent an ample amount of time with me while helping others in the interim and I NEVER felt neglected. She even helped and satisfied customers that her peers could not or didn't care to spend time with. I am telling you...she was amazing! She made me and others feel important even with a line of customers. She was moving us out like an assembly line but in a professional and courteous manner. Her personality was warm and genuine. Staples really found a gem when they hired her!! If I ever need assistance with business cards, copy work,etc. I will go back to this Staples (making sure she is at work) even though I live less than 5 minutes from the Staples on Century. This is a good location near the LAX area that's convenient, 'tho their store operating hours like all office supply stores generally closes early on the weekends, so be sure you check the store hours and come when they're open. It's located with a spacious parking lot and they have a good selection of inventory stocked. The customer service was really nice when we came to pick up an online order for in-store delivery/pick-up without any problems too. read more

Staples the local office superstore and this particular one has become my go to so called home store. Being employed by a local nursing home I come here quite often for various office supplies to printing needs to even there phone repair center. This particular store has earned my continued business for there polite friendly and attentive customer service. Whether something is out of stock to there enlarging printer being down there always keeping me posted and aware of update status on orders or pending prints. There store is very well organized and easy to identify aisles and products promos and sales. Only knock I can say is since its in a high commercial plaza the parking can get tough on certain days and time of days. The place here seems bigger than most Staples. Main entrance is on the back side from Sepulveda. The entrance is a little beat up and always looks like it's under construction, but once inside and up up the steps, you've got your typical Staples office supply setup. I am so frustrated with the representatives who open the phone at this store. I ordered Epson ink online (it is only sold online) and I asked for it to be delivered to the store for pick up because that option was the quickest and I needed it urgently. Now it is two days late and I have called the store at least 7 times, each time talking to a different representative. Twice I got the phone shut on my face, at least three times I got different representatives who seemed like they could care less about helping me when I tried to give my order number and inquire the whereabouts of this shipment, and lastly I got held on the line again for a very long time and the phone got shot off again! I placed an order online @ Staples website for same-day pickup of 500 business cards at around 10:30 a.m. June 1st. In the app I was told that my order would be ready for pickup by 7:30 p.m. I stopped in Staples around 3:30 p.m. just to verify that the order would be ready at 7:30 p.m. and I was told by the young lady working in the print department that it would be on time. Needless to say I showed up at 7:30 to pick up my order and at 7:30 when I arrived my order had just been started to be worked on and now this new young lady was explaining to me that she could possibly have it done by 8:00 which is the time the store closes. I swear you can never get what you pay for these days and for a company like Staples that's an excusable. To wrap this review up I paid for same day pick up and I was not able to pick up same day. A simple courtesy call letting me know they were going to be delays would have made a world of difference for me in this situation. SMH anyway I would not recommend Staples for any services to a friend family or anyone I know their staff is lazy and unreliable. I will not be doing business with this company ever again and I will be following up with whatever procedures are necessary for me to get a refund. read more

The worst Staples I've ever been to. I've been coming here for over 5 years because it's the closest one to me and there aren't many more in the area. The store and bathrooms (which you now need the passkey for) are filthy and worst of all I think the employees move purposely slow -- especially at the Copy & Print Center. At all other Copy & Print Centers, you can usually make a same-day or next-day order, here you generally have to do it 2 days in advance if you place it online. Then when you get checked out, the transaction will take forever (because of both the cashiers dragging their feet and the delays with the computers). And good luck trying to get help if you're by the fax or copy machines. On top of that, I was just overcharged today. It just might be time to start driving the extra distance to go to the better locations. read more

I have to give it Staples copy and print shop. I needed same day turnaround on some marketing materials to distribute to 350 people and needed to get it in the proper hands by 5pm the same day. I orignally had my materials made by Vistaprint and simply didnt have enough to give to 300+. So I tried my luck at Staples in Westchester since they promised it in 4 hours. I drafted the design, and submitted by 10am for 250 pieces. I called and confirmed they had my order which they did. An hour later they called an said we can give you 250 more at no extra charge to which I definitely accepted! They then cofnirmed my order would be done at 2pm. Sure enough, I get it at 3pm and its done and to my specs; all 500 pieces. They did a very good job on time and in a pinch! Way to go... read more

When it came down to back-to-school sales, Staples definitely beat the prices of ALL of its competitors with MOST of their items. However, my trip to this location, about 1 hour after they opened this morning, I went in to return an item i had bought but ended up not needing. When i was finished with my transaction, i headed to the bathroom. It was a personal bathroom, so no stalls, but there was NO toilet paper!! All i could see were empty toilet paper rolls decorating the handicap railing, as well as the floor. To make matters worse, they had a HUGE brown paper towel roll on the back of the toilet!
