He does a great job at explaining all of the important information we learned on the learning modules during the in-person skills training. A few days ago, I completed my second CPR certification through iMaster CPR, as my first was just over two years ago. iMaster CPR is in a small suite in an office complex in Mission Valley. It is easy to find and has plenty of parking. The classroom itself is not the most comfortable, as it is very small, and a bit on the warm, stuffy side. I had also wished that I had brought a bottle of water with me, as there was none available. George has been the instructor both times. He is a kind and funny person who walks around gently correcting our practice and sets us up for success on the written exam. At the end of class we downloaded a certification from the American Heart Association after we pass the short exam. iMaster CPR does a good job of giving us the required skills for certification in approximately two hours. I will say, for someone such as myself, who doesn't "need" the certification, but wants to carefully learn the skills, I would prefer a longer course with even more hands- on experience. All in all, I am grateful that I was able to take this course to stay up to date with my basic CPR skills. The instructor is good it is conveniently located.

The class wasn't very structured or thorough. It just seemed very rushed and hasty and a little…read moresloppy. At one point, I tried to ask her a question about whether the breathing part actually delivers enough oxygen, but her answer was for a different question. I felt like she didn't take the time to listen to what I was asking. The CPR training was reasonable, but the First-Aid part was barely addressed. I recently completed a NOLS/WMS Wilderness First-Aid course through REI, and I felt like I learned so much there. And while being in the wilderness may be a significant difference in circumstances, the injuries are not. Blisters, heat-exhaustion, impalements, etc. can all happen anywhere, especially with children. But in the end they were quick to respond to my email, and I got my certification in less than 2 hours, on a holiday weekend no less, so I guess I should be happy with that. I'm just not someone who's looking for an 'easy A'. It's kind of sad, because many of the students that come here are working for schools or the YMCA, and they're supposedly the ones trained to handle your children in emergency situations.

Do not take courses through ACLS. Had I not been required to take my BLS course through the…read moreAmerican Heart Association, I would have not gone through ACLS. Not only was the course $100, but I did not receive my certification the same day. I have taken CPR courses over the last 10 years and I have always received the physical card or Ecard same day. I have tried to call their main line for days and nobody answers. Finally got a response to my email that I SHOULD get it by the end of the day. When I spoke with the American Heart Association, they weren't much help either. I was told that ACLS has 20 calendar days to provide the information to them so they can mail out the cards. I was not informed of this information at all. Please avoid this company at all costs. They do not care whatsoever after they receive payment.

On the playground, no one pushed. They all took turns. What's more, they were still incredibly joyous little kids, giggling and delighting in silly play. I was in awe. And yet, now Julian models those same behaviors. FDL teachers are kind and warm, but firm. They set a high bar, and the kids rise to meet it. At the same time, there is tremendous fun had on the daily at this school. Julian greets me at pick up with a big smile and a hug, his cheeks flushed from play and sand in his shoes. He excitedly shows me his projects and tells me funny stories and things he learned from the day. FDL is exceptional. If you have the chance to send your child there, take it. You would be hard pressed to find a more loving and capable setting. We will miss it terribly!

Several daycares/preschools in the region claim to be Spanish immersion but aren't actually (e.g., they speak English to the kiddos). At Lulus, I feel like we get a truly authentic Spanish immersion program for our son, knowing instruction is exclusively in Spanish. And it shows. My son 100% understands Spanish when it is spoken to him and he mixes Spanish and English in his vocabulary regularly. I credit Lulus for a large part of that bilingual ability and look forward to seeing his fluency improve in the years to come. Highly recommend Lulus!!

She eats all kind of food, actually Ms Gladys' food is the best not mommy's . She reads well, is good at math, follows Montessori. Kumon even complimented her she had passed TK level on math. This is coming to an end for Aria at ABCD as she will start kindergarten soon. It is such a bittersweet moment. But at least I know I will bring my second daughter to her soon. We are not federal employees, but the daycare is located behind security in the federal building and there are special rates for those who are government employees.
