Guy served me the beer and I only had my card. He said it was on the house but I ended up scraping up enough cash for the drink and really appreciate him for that. WOW! Came from out of town and was blown away. I love a good dive bar, but some of them just can't compete with the hut. The ambiance was amazing, great vibes. I think what really topped it off was our bartender. Joey went above and beyond for us and re-wrote my expectations for a dive bar. Highly recommend this genuine local Barr to all motorcycle riders going up to Santa Barbara living in Camarillo or in Ventura County take a moment to venture out to the Hutt. They have a wonderful selection of drinks and very original and pleasant place to grab a drink with a friend or family member to have a good old-fashioned or even a cold one on the rocks and have a genuine great time it's been around for a really long time. Classic divvvvvvvvvvvvve bar. The ambiance is exactly how you'd picture an old run down bar, where the locals hang, and the beer is flat. LAMEEEE...went on a Wednesday night. Tried to order a beer and the bartender(older big guy) says it's cash only(that's no problem they have a ATM) We tried three different cards and the damn ATM and the thing wouldn't work. We walked back to the bar and said we were unable to withdrawal. The bartender who had already started to pour the beers looks at us and grabs the drinks and pours them down the drain saying "sorry no cash no beer". I'm not sure if he thought we were trying to be slick but all I can say is it was such a rude reaction I'll be sure not to stop in there again. read more

I'm a regular here. Cool place. Good beer. Sports on TV. Interesting, eclectic crowd, made up of mainly townies. If you're a tourist, be cool and respectful. Pool table for 75 cents a game. I miss the dive bars in the LBC, and am SO thankful we found the Hut, as it's the best (and only) dive bar in town. It's perfect. steer clear of this bar if you care about any kind of customer service...its a classic dive bar with strong drinks reasonable and some good live music occasionally... however the bartender who seems to always be working weekends is consistently silent.. rude and incapable of any form of conversation or taking care of any customer requests that arent his favorite regulars.....good luck read more
