I was in need of an oil change this morning and I don't have too much time. I just got off the night shift and just wanted a quick oil change. I drove by this place numerous time and saw a big sign on the building saying oil change for $19.99. I remember that when I was driving home from work and decided to come by. I spoke to Rafeal and he pointed out to me that the price of $19.99 is for vehicles that only use up to 4 quarts of oil and for my SUV, it needed 5.5 quarts thus would cost more money. I pleaded with him to just do it for$19.99. I told him I had my brake job done here a few months ago. He checked his computer and found the record in his system. He understands the important of a loyal customer and appreciates my business. He then was happy to perform the oil change for $19.99. Ok let me see : These Guys Were Amazing , previously I had gone to 2 other repair shop trying to get an idea of why my check engine light was on. Everyone wanted to charge me an arm and a leg . After doin some research I found this location I spoke with Roger which was very helpful. Turns out my fuel cap was loose , and that's what caused my light to come on. Two years ago I went to the most horrible smog place ever and they told me I failed even though I knew I didn't and cost me unnecessary repairs. I should've come here in the first place, not only did I walk in thinking I already had to repair my car , I also thought it wouldn't pass the smog check. What really intrigued me at first was the fact that they are mobile and will come to your home or work, which is extremely convenient for me. I was able to get my car worked on immediately. Usually i have to wait about 2 weeks for an appointment at the dealership. I met with Roger and he was very professional, this guy knows what he's doing. I had been going all over the place for years getting random work done on my car and never going back to the same place. After needing a new radiator and trying out a few places such as Goodyear and Jiffylube, I decided to check out the place close to home, Arco Smog Pros. Manny and Roger are wonderful and honest mechanics. I'm so glad they ended their relationship with this Arco that did not have the same commitment to honesty. Manny has come to my workplace four times now. He and Roger make themselves available at times that are convenient for me, they work without interrupting my work schedule, they offer fair quotes often including several comparison costs, and they even did a call with me and my dad to make sure we were both comfortable with the estimates. They've always explained exactly what was going on and I never felt that they were advocating an unnecessary repair. Great guys. I tried hard not to update my review on this location, but based on my last experience I feel this is something I should share with everyone. I'll be as brief as possible without going into the details. Pretty much had an issue. An O'Really representative identified the issue and recommended I go to Arco Repair in Tustin. I go, tell them the issue, then charged me for a lot of parts I thought were unnecessary, but I'm not a mechanic. A week later my car doesn't work, resulting in a missed day of work. I go back, they say "Hmm, might be now an engine and transmission issue." They tweak it a little and I was running sluggishly again. Two weeks pass and my car breaks down on the freeway. I get towed back to the same arco, they say, "Sorry but probably you can sell the car for parts." Before I do that, another mechanic in Riverside fixes the problem in one day. Car runs like new. I go back and complain in person and received a partial refund on the labor, not the parts. NOW several months later, a mechanic at a smog tester sees another problem left behind from the mechanics at Arco and so he fixes it in a matter of minutes. This was a problem with the car I addressed to Arco in the past before and was never fixed. The point is, even after I address the issues to Arco, there was STILL a problem with the car long after they worked on it THREE times which took a different autoshop less than ONE day to fix. I am sorry Arco Auto Repair, but make sure that it is proper service where it's errors to do not linger for months on a car. You have greatly disappointed me in aspects of your services, your gas, your way of handling complaints, and much more. Until you upgrade your services, I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

I decided to take my car here to get my brakes checked close to a year ago because they were making noises and not responding properly. Manny knew exactly what the problem was right off and had everything fixed for me within an hour and a half. He also informed me that my CV axles were worn and potentially dangerous. He let me know the dangers of driving the car with the axles in the condition they were in, and recommended I get them changed as soon as possible. I didn't have the money at the time to make those repairs, but went back a few weeks later and had it completed. The prices he provided were in the same range as other places that I called to check before I had the repairs done. I live pretty far away from this shop and could easily go to another location in my area, but I prefer to go here. Manny is very personable and professional. I never get the feeling that I am being scammed, which is something I am always concerned about when dealing with car repairs. I have taken my car here around 6 times since my initial stop by, and I don't plan on going anywhere else. The service I get here is exactly what I want. read more

This place has great mechanics who continue to update you, excellent prices, and a very considerate manager. Went there to get my smog test and it didnt pass. They adjusted timing, looked at belts, and tried to find anything it could be. They eventually told me of the various options I had to get it fixed (a diagnosis or a 90% chance it was my catalytic converter). Went to a mechanic they referred others to which was incredibly cheap, and only took 20 minutes to install a new cat. Came back and as we waited for the test to finish, I noticed they were all standing around in anticipation....when it passed ALL of the guys there actually cheered and high-fived. I first had to go to a "Test only" station per my registration renewal. My explorer failed 3 different catagories on the test. Arco smog pros got many good reviews on yelp so I deceided to give them a try. I got a quote for the repairs and was told they could have the parts late in the afternoon and to check back then. I got a call around 4:30pm saying my car was ready. The total was $100 less than the quote! The parts were less than quoted so they charged me the lesser price instead of marking them up. I passed emissions and will take our 2nd car to Arco smog pros as well. read more
