DON'T GO THERE! I wanted a gel pedicure but didn't want to spend the $60+ for it at nearby nail salons so I decided to try out Star Nails. I got their $45 gel Spa pedicure package which included hot towels, massage & callus remover. Worst pedicure ever! Not even 2 mins into it & I should've stopped the mail tech because I knew it was going to be bad. She didn't let my feet soak in water like all other nail salons usually do. Their tools look very overused and need replacing. She used the electric sander machine to take off my old gel but she kept hitting my skin; no matter how many times I pulled my foot away, she kept going back to the same spot which is the pictured cut on the left side of my toe nail. By the time my pedicure was done & she put some alcohol over my toe nails, all my toes were burning which means she cut up all my toes. I will never go here again and regret giving them my money and time. read more

Extremely unprofessional and displayed what I felt to be racism. After I signed in and waited for about 10mins I was finally addressed after when the receptionist came in and an caucasian followed he went to see her needs before mine and I had to stand to get recognized. I didn't think much of it. I stated I wanted a pedicure , and the receptionist told me to wait outside. Before I left to stand outdoors I asked the wait time and he said not long. As I stand RIGHT OUTSIDE THE GLASS DOOR I could see him lead the Caucasian woman to the back so I immediately came in as they were seating her and asked how was she being seated before me. He looked in my eyes and said he didn't know where I was after I signed in with my contact information and was standing directly outside of the Door. I left feeling so small and belittled. I no longer wanted service after being treated like trash. He didn't try to correct the action seeing as though this woman hadn't started her service yet. He told me I could go and waved his hands to me to say he doesn't care. No one deserves to feel those ways. S/O To ZEN SPA ! I have my favorites. I like the way Ryan does my nails and Tony does a wonderful job on my feet. The Salon maybe small but it is very neat and clean. I really like the hot towels to dry your hands. But that cycle has finally ended! If you do not have an appointment, be prepared to wait! If you do have an appointment, be prepared to wait!! This is my own experience! The technicians are good! Some are awesome! But the really good ones, keep their scheduled booked! So you may get someone mediocre! However, the service here is terrible! They make no excuses for it, it just is what it is! This place is absolutely AWFUL!!!! I went in for a pedicure. The shop was pretty much empty and I waited for 20 minutes before being seated in a manicure chair. Finally a nail tech came over but because she only had 15 minutes before her next appointment she rushed through my pedicure and did a horrible job. I originally wanted a spa pedicure but was told no due to my nail tech not having enough time. Also this nail shop just keeps reusing the same nail tools over and over barely cleaning them. I do not recommend this nail salon. I made an appointment before hand for a soak off. When I arrived the nail technician got an attitude with me because he said it would take too long to soak off and he had another customer coming. He was very rude and started talking to the other staff members about my request. Another nail technician took over and was kind. Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill. Seems like they can't keep any consistent staff and their customer service is not good. They barely greet you when you come in. The owner or the lady at front who only takes appointments is not very warm or friendly so she shouldn't sit up there. They act like we owe them something when we're actually paying for a service. WORST NAIL SALON in the world! No price list, nails $65 (basically any set), #2 pedicure cost $65 because of gel polish. Nothing extra from the standard $35 pedicure. No massage unless slapping some cream on your calves is considered. Nail design is extra, but no price & owner doing nails was on her AirPods NOT listening to me (the customer) when telling her I do NOT want the coffin nails which she put on anyway. One tip peeled off ripped on both ends & was hanging & she put the acrylic over it anyway instead of replacing another tip which made the nail stick straight up! When trying to ask her about a design I pulled up on my phone, she told me she was on the phone & couldn't hear me?? 3 hours later, she cut nails off & I just left with ragged cut off tips for another salon to pay to remove. Owner also tried to ask another customer if she though my nails were fat at the base & skinny at the tip. It's what the customer wants & that was disgusting as a customer to witness! Husband acted like I was running out on paying for my toes & did nothing to make any of their shady over priced services with my time & effort to keep business. HORRIBLE experience & I'd rather have a 5 year old do them next time. Paint them yourself & throw the cash in the toilet. You'll be much happier! read more

Loud and definitely not a relaxing atmosphere It hard to believe the owner or manager is onsite and not only tolerates but participates in the loud conversations across the room. I went in for a gel manicure. I had an appointment for noon, was put in a chair at 12:15 and a file hit my nails at about 12:20. The good: no cuts, bleeding, or infections. The bad: basically everything else. I don't usually write bad reviews, but this place really annoyed me. The girl assigned to me brought out her instruments in an old pencil box marked "Linda." Was her name Linda? I have no idea. She never introduced herself. I couldn't tell if the instruments were clean or not. I didn't see a single bowl or container of that blue stuff you frequently see being used as disinfectant. When she told me to go wash my hands after she filed my nails, there was one sink with one nail brush. The nail brush had obviously been used, a lot. Did I use the nail brush? Hell no. Gross. (I would like to take this opportunity to point out that I am in no way a germaphobe, but come on, yuck). This girl talked the entire time and gesticulated a lot. While she was gesticulating, she couldn't work on my nails. I had already told her that I was there on my lunch break from work but she spent at least half the time yacking and flailing around while I sat there staring at her, then the clock, then her again. I understand that lunch times can be busy and there may be a wait, but this wasn't a wait issue, this was just inconsiderate. This takes me to one of the things that annoyed me most. The girl mentioned working on some paper for business school that was due that night. I said something to the effect of, "oh I remember that, I don't miss it." She says, "oh you are in business school?" and I said, "uh no, but I went to law school." If I could only go back in time and retract that statement... She spent the rest of the appointment asking me about all of her traffic tickets. Tacky. And not very fun for me. I told her I don't do traffic law but that didn't stop her. My favorite part was how she spent 10 minutes telling me that she shouldn't have gotten a ticket because her son was in the back seat. What? There were stretches of time between coats when my hands were in the UV thing and she couldn't be bothered to actually turn it on because she was too busy trying to describe a botched left turn. Near the end of the appointment she stopped talking about her traffic violations. Instead, I got to hear about that naked survival show and the fact that some girl on the show stepped in the guy's diarrhea. I have never in my life heard the word diarrhea uttered in any type of salon. Gross, but whatever. We were almost done and I kept glancing at the clock trying to get her to move it along so I could get back to work. She finally finished up, no massage, no lotion. At one point she rubbed the top of my hand for about 15 seconds like she was trying to warm it up, that was it. It reminded me of when the guy on 101 Dalmatians brought that runt puppy back to life by rubbing it briskly. Except if my hand was the puppy it would have just stayed dead. So now we are done with the manicure. I go up with her to pay and give her my card. She runs it and I see there is no place for a tip (yes, I was still going to leave one, because I'm a sucker). I ask her if the other copy will have a place and she says, "No, you should have told me!" No, lady, you should have told me, don't loudly admonish me after a sub par manicure. I had no cash, so she yelled at someone in the back for a minute and then told me she could run my card again and the minimum was $5. Whatever, fine. When I got to the car I saw that my pinky nail was lumpy and thick, the polish ran off the nail and onto my finger. There was also a piece of something that was stuck in the clear coat of my ring finger nail and the ends of my nails were rough. I had to file them all when I got home, I also managed to file out the random extra bit on my ring finger. I decided to wait to write the review and see how long the manicure lasted. Less than a week. On day 4 both pinky nails are peeling off. I really hate to be a jerk, but this was completely disappointing. It will definitely be worth driving farther down the road to a different salon. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for almost 11 years. I've been going to the same lady for almost all 11 years. I will not name drop but I will no longer be coming to this location. Recently everyone I mad an appointment I am NEVER seen at that time. I am ALWAYS waiting 5-44 minutes after my appointment time. 5 minutes is fine but after that a phone call would be nice to know you are running behind. Disappointed. I came here on a wim to get a Mani pedi the day before my birthday vacation. I don't usually get manicure because I've had technicians treat my nails like they are fake. So I told the guy I wasn't sure if I was going to get one and that it depends on how my pedi turned out. I also said I wanted a design on my big toes. It was late and a lot of employees were leaving so when he was ready for my design he said no one will do it because I'm picky and they are ready to leave. I told him I was referring to my finger nails and that I'm going on vaca and want to look nice. They spoke in Chinese then told me I can paint at home. I was extremely polite but disappointed, even sadden that I chose this place. I had him put glitter on my big toes and began writing this review.
