I am new to Maryland and have been on a vigorous search to find the right place for gel pedicures. I read a lot of reviews of many different places and couldn't settle on one. Then, I drove by this place and read the mixed reviews. I took a shot and hoped for the best and I was NOT disappointed. The salon is clean and nice. I was greeted by two men that were sitting down because it was a little slow when I came in. They asked me to sign in and a few minutes later I was greeted by a nail tech. Her name is Brittany and she did an EXCELLENT job. I haven't had a pedicure in 6+ weeks & still had the old gel polish on. Brittany did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the service and even picked a better nail color for me. I am so beyond satisfied. Gel pedicures was $65 which was reasonable to me. I was referred to this spa by a friend. I came in a month ago and got a gel-x set. Two weeks later one nail broke. I came in last week to get that nail repaired and the same nail broke the next day. I came in today to get that nail repaired and no one is available although they just accepted two walk-ins with no appointment. No one has said anything else to me and they keep avoiding eye contact. Located in Bowie in the same strip mall where the South Bowie Library is located. It is nice inside, I dig the decor, there are several stations to receive services. Like most nail salons there is a pretty strong smell, but what can you do? Parking is fair to middling as there are other businesses around. I specifically visited for the purpose of nail removal. I was seen quickly and was out within 30 minutes. I have a nail tech that I'm pretty loyal too that handles my hands. I did dig the fact that they offer Apres Gel, which is all that I get done. While there I noticed a woman the roughly enjoying a pedicure. I do believe that I may return for this service. read more

Stopped coming here...this has been my salon for years but unfortunately they lost my business when they lied to me and told me Jenny was out of town and on vacation when in fact she left their salon. She is now at Star Nail off Crain Highway in Upper Marlboro as well as a few other ex Zen Spa employees. Zen Spa also has raised their costs quite significantly and I have found their quality has gone down. The new employees are not as experienced and do not do a quality job with shaping and polish application. My nail chipped the very next morning after going to them so less that 24 hours. I don't think the current cost of their services reflect in the final product. And it's not really an enjoyable experience for the price to make up for it. They used to offer drinks and wine but they do not anymore, so again high cost with low quality service. read more

Can we give no stars??? They don't treat their customers very well. 2 case in points: 1) A gentleman was waiting and was told to wait 30 min while I saw one additional person in the back that was free to begin a treatment. Two ladies walked in and were told their wait would only be 15-20 min, they said this in front of the gentlemen who was waiting. So there's that....... Now my experience (2) went a little something like this: I waddled myself in because I'm Being induced for labor tomorrow and is really like one last mani/pedi (because a foot rub sounds better than sushi and wine at this point). I tell the young lady I'd like a gel French manicure and pedicure and she takes me To the back. There was no menu offered to see if I'd like maybe some add ons but hey, as long as I get a nice pedicure/manicure with a basic foot rub after the cuticles get worked on I'm fine. NOPE. There was no cuticle treatment, no callus removal offered, and she finished and ushered me to get my manicure. I kept thinking prior to that "okay the 2 minute massage comes later." Later never came I was just hurried in like cattle to sit my corpulent butt down and finish my nails. Foot rub? Menu? Nope. Not all pregnant women want a foot rub but safe to maybe offer a foot rub with a manicure after 40 weeks of pregnancy and 20 of those weeks with building pressure. Who wouldn't want a foot rub? Some might say "ask your husband to run your feet then" well, God love him but I didn't marry him for his massage skills. He gets distracted and starts checking his NFT shit and I'm there with a cold foot hanging out. Anyways. I brought it up to the lady who did my nails and she mentioned it to the previous lady and she said it was a misunderstanding because I apparently told her I wanted just a basic manicure pedicure. No. I didn't. I've never been here. I wasn't offered a menu. I even asked for a simple design on my Toe but she said you can't do designs on French pedicure toes, which I wonder how other establishments accomplish that skill if it's impossible. The best thing is, that very basic gel French manicure and pedicure cost me $105. This was the most expensive underwhelming experience I've ever had. Don't waste your time or money. It really wasn't worth it. All I wanted was one last good pedicure before i spend a few months with sleepless nights with a newborn and I got a big expensive NOPE. This might be the hormones but can I give negative stars? read more
