Review about inspire nail salon and the sloppy job they did on my wife's pedicure and fill for her nails. The polished started peeling after 5 days which tells me their products are below standards. The fill was lawful to. I cannot honestly with a good conscience recommend this salon. Horrible customer service. After paying $95, they will ever see me again. I've been coming here for a little over 3 months now. It was so pleasant at first then it went downhill. Front desk staff is rude. My tech, Ping, became unreliable, always asking me to re-schedule or move my time because she had to go home or doesn't feel like waiting at the shop. My appointment wasn't honored this time and I've been so accommodating, even switching my appointments because of over booking but today they didn't have my appointment in after showing my confirmation and did not accommodate me. I will not be coming back. I pay $200 each time and it's disappointing that I won't be returning because Ping dies exceptional work but her work ethic is horrible! I was working near by and needed a pedicure before the weekend started. After a quick Google search, this salon came up. I noticed how huge and gorgeous this place was upon walking in. After I signed in, I was escorted to the back. Andy introduced himself, offered me a beverage and began starting my pedicure. He removed my previous gel polish ($7) and started the Quick Shot pedicure ($38). I throughly enjoyed my treatment. Andy even recommended a product to help with my toenails and where you buy it. After my toes were painted, I was escorted to the drying station and thanked Andy. Once it was time to pay, I noticed a sign saying a 3% charge will be added to the total. I don't recall if said for all payments or just card payments but regardless, I wasn't happy about the extra fee nor do I know it's purpose. The entire experience was horrible from start to finish. First these are the worst nails I've ever paid for in my life PLUS they made me pay before my service was over which is completely unprofessional and unethical. Also the nails themselves are chunky, thick and the french is absolutely horrible + crooked despite me trying to tell her to fix it the entire service. Nail tech, Tam, was out of town so I saw John. He had to redo my nails bc he completely messed them up first time yet charged $175 for dip and pedi w/gel. Over charged me, didn't listen to anything I asked, rude and impatient. Presented a picture. It was a simple color, pale yellow that I asked to choose but he insisted on picking for me & was wrong. 2nd time he had the nerve to say it would have been an extra $15. So I guess I should be grateful huh? Also he offered a drink. I asked for green tea with honey. He brought me black tea barely any honey. I'm not sure how long he plan to be there but, with his approach, Bliss may lose clients instead of keeping them. I may return back because of Tam who is the best nail tech there. The nail tech did not not what he was doing. I ended up leaving mid service after realizing he cut my skin on majority of my toes trying to remove gel polish then applied cuticle softener and it felt like acid being poured on my feet. I asked to see his license (which should be visible due to state board regulations) and refused and hid in the back. I watched him peek around the corner instead of bringing the license to the front. He also tried to grab a nail brush to wash my feet but I stopped him from that too bc 1) it was visible it was old (the bristles were grey and permanently bent sideways) 2) It was clear he cut me so using something abrasive would have made the situation worse. read more

Came here for the first time with my parents and grandma and am thrilled! The salon is big, clean, and beautiful. We had varying levels of pedicures and all of our technicians were detailed and thorough in their work. My parents and grandma are all older and they were so caring with them, we all had a really enjoyable time. Definitely coming back. We called and made an appointment a few hours ahead and in the future we will try to make it at least 24 hours ahead. We all had regular or gel nail polish. No chips, no scratches, no paint left on the skin, all cuticles attended to, great massage pressure with the pedicures... we are all happy with our service. read more

I've been wanting to try this nail salon for the longest time. My nail tech is on vacation so I figured it was a great time to try another salon thats closer to my house. Let's just say it wasn't a blissful visit. The nail tech was exceptionally rough with my hands. My full set hurt!! I actually fall asleep with my usual nail tech so it was a bit shocking. He also didn't listen to how I like my nails to be done. I told him that I wasn't a fan of my nails and he told me that my nail bed is wide and that's why they look like that. He tried to make them look less chunky and to make me happy but they still aren't the way I like them. I simply told him that it was fine because I was ready to go. Won't be back. Originally a 1 star but changed to 2 after tech fixed my nails, and reading these reassuring reviews that confirm my feelings on the 'vibe' of this place. Nail tech John did a subpar gel service job. First nail peeled after I came to see with light the very sloppy job. He also uses his finger nail and not clean tools to remove polish on skin. The second nail chipped and came off 3 days after service. Mimi did an okay job fixing but not after defending her colleague, yet offering a full redo of all the nails with the reasoning that she feared I would have to come and I guess to save me time. I just moved, I've gotten gel service for 15 years, I'm old. I don't need someone to school me on how the original set is faulty because I didn't place my hand correctly, or I picked on my nails. I get my nails done frequently and don't have time to waste. I'm going to continue searching for a reliable place even if I have to pay more money. I did not have a good experience in regards to the quality of the service. The technician was very nice, but I feel it was a rushed job despite there being few people in the place. My nails were not even and I also got cuts from the tool that was used. When I asked could someone else redue my nails I was told I would have to pay for another person to fix someone else's work. I normally don't write reviews, but my experience at Bliss Nail Bar in Bowie, MD was so disappointing that I have to share. My manicure turned out okay, but the pedicure was horrible. The technician doing my toes was sloppy and rushed the entire time. I had to constantly correct her, and even after two of her colleagues stepped in to guide her, the quality of work was still unacceptable. When the pedicure was finished, I asked for flip-flops because I didn't feel the gel polish was dry. She dismissed my concern, insisted it was fine, and told me to put my shoes on. As soon as I walked to the register, I felt something odd on my toe, and sure enough, the gel polish had smeared. That should not happen with gel. To make matters worse, I was charged $130 for a service that was rushed, sloppy, and poorly done. I paid because I was exhausted after a long day of work, but I left feeling completely defeated. It's sad because I remember when nail technicians truly cared about their work and customer satisfaction. Now it feels like some shops assume customers will pay regardless of the quality they deliver. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend Bliss Nail Bar to anyone. There are so many other salons in Bowie that value their clients' time and money. I only went here because it was empty -- now I understand why. I will never be returning. read more

Bliss Nail Bar offers great customer service and ambiance. I was thrilled when it opened because after the previous nail salon closed in the same location, I struggled to find an upscale salon that provides drinks (water, soda, tea or wine), true relaxation (quiet, private for pedicures), a variety of nail polish options (another place only had gel polish for pedicures), and excellent service. My favorite technician is Ryan--he does a fantastic pedicure! Tip: To avoid extra service fees when using a credit card, bring cash. read more

This salon is located in a strip mall, notably clean and elegantly decorated with aesthetically pleasing design. Made an appointment with the younger receptionist (male) over the phone for Hannah, the salon manager at 1 PM. Navigating directions, I called around 12:55 PM to notify them that I was running a few minutes behind, at which point the receptionist told me Hannah herself was running late and was it possible for me to come later? My response was no, and he said no problem. Upon arrival, Hanna approached me to let me know that she had taken another customer because I had been running late. This is not a way to conduct business. Fortunately one of her nail techs...enter "Vi" did an amazing job. My review is for nail services with the Vi. I was very pleased with my gel manicure and my nail color. However, if you intend to make an appointment for Hanna, you've been forewarned. Check out photos and see for yourself. The salon is clean and beautiful, but the customer service is terrible. Hannah (also the manager) did a full set of Gel X nails. Two hours later, one of them fell off and two days later another one did. When I went back to get it fixed, she said the Gel X doesn't last long, only for a party (should last 3 weeks). I asked her why she didn't tell me this and she said because I wasn't one of her regular customers and tried to blame me. Some of the others are already lifting and feel like they will fall off soon. I asked for a discount or if they could compensate me somehow if I go back because I spent $70, and she refused. Ryan did a good job on my pedicure, but I definitely would not go to Hannah and will not be going back to this shop. I wish I seen these reviews before I booked. I seen 4.3 stars and omg. John has no business being in that salon. I came in wanting refill and toe polish change. I asked for an almond shape, with a v-shaped French tip... the almond gave round, asked for it to be sharper @ the point. John says yeah, yes okay. None of the nails were the same shape or size. My middle fingernail now looks like a nail on a puppy paw. I came in with at least an 1 inch of nail and left with barely a stub, after his work. Just lazy! After re-explaining 6x I just had to ask for a different nail tech. She tried, I watched her try but after 2.5 hours not being done and my toes haven't even been thought about, beyond ready to go. I stayed professional, but then apparently a good client of hers came in and she respectfully asks to do her customer and come back. I declined, I've already been through more in this shop than I expected before I made an appointment. I tipped her, but for my mental health I had to leave. She obviously didn't want to use more acrylic to fix all of my nails after showing how thin it was, my nail (all real no tips) actually popped and broke. She fixed what she could but I couldn't bare it anymore. I wanted to stop where she was, they tried to charge my $50.. I left the pictures on this post. I obliviously objected. Instead of making a scen and getting arrested for not paying on MY BIRTHDAY! I paid the $45 and tipped her $10. Now here I am, at a whole different shop to fix and finish what they couldn't. Btw the establishment itself was decent, it was my first visit. That's my review, I wouldn't go back if they were the only shop open on a Friday night. My manicurist was more worried about taking smoking breaks rather than focusing on customer service.
