Good with the kids, nice facilities, always took the time to explain and reassure me when I needed it. Never any surprises

The doctor's prices are too high. They actually sent me a bill for $1.00! My child cried, and the staff were very rude.

What a surprisingly pleasant experience! I was dreading taking my 19-month-old here for his very…read morefirst appointment but it went better than expected. He still screamed but the dentist and assistant were fast and efficient. Since it was his first appointment, they just brushed and examined his teeth and went over any concerns. I also appreciated the lack of judgment or inquiry regarding my desire to decline the fluoride treatment. They just said "no problem" and moved on. Scheduling is via phone (I do prefer online but it's okay). They still made the process fairly simple. They also were understanding when I had to initially cancel at the last minute due to my son running a fever. They were really transparent and communicative regarding costs. They contacted me in advance to give me the exact co-pay amount. That's awesome and honestly rare. Everyone is super nice here. Dentist, dental assistant, front desk staff. Friendly and easy to talk to. They even gave me a little pot with daisy seeds because it was Mother's Day weekend. So sweet. There's also a cute play area for kids in front of reception. No issue finding parking close to the front door.

Dr. Kenny, Dr. Travis, and Dr. White have taken care of me and my brother for so many years. Today is my last appointment since I have moved to San Antonio and I hate to leave. I don't think I'll ever find another dental office that will take care of me as much as GPD has. Being part of the family here, helped me get into the dental field that I love so much. Thank you so much GPD for taking care of me for 15 years

Disappointing and demeaning treatment of veterans I was seen…read moreat Carus Dental under a referral from VA Community Care. During check-in, I signed the standard, routine forms, including their policy on no-show fees--which is completely standard and understandable. However, the situation took a frustrating turn when the front desk staff member went out of their way to tell me that if I missed an appointment, they would "notify the VA." The comment felt incredibly childish, unnecessary, and threatening. When I asked if they would notify Tricare Dental if I were using that insurance, or if they threaten their non-military and non-veteran patients with the same kind of reporting, it became clear how single-out this treatment was. Signing a financial policy is one thing, but being spoken to like a child who needs to be reported to an authority figure is entirely different. It felt deeply demeaning and left me with the distinct impression that veterans are treated like second-class citizens here. The clinical care may be fine, but the front desk approach to community care patients needs a serious lesson in respect and customer service.
