Pad Thai, drunken noodles, green curry and eggrolls.

Take out only but truly hole in the wall mom and pop joint with the best Thai flavors. We get medium and there is definitely a kick. Our favs - tom yum soup, pad kee mao, pad see ew, curries (I think we have tried all), and pad Thai. All great.

I forgot how tasty this restaurant was until my recent visit back. Though Star Thai is located in a very quiet shoppette, the food is definitely what makes it stand out. There is no in restaurant seating anymore, which was available pre-pandemic, but the staff does a good job making sure your to go food is packaged properly and well. Speaking of the staff, the owner is one of the main chefs and front of house greeter. He is always so jolly and never lacks a smile. You definitely can feel his passion for the place just by talking to him and the taste of the food. I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, the Pad Thai with chicken, and the Panang curry with beef. The soup was tasty and filled well, but the stars of the show were definitely the curry and the Pad Thai. The Panang did not taste oily at all and tasted very homemade and fresh as opposed to how some curry can taste from other restaurants. The Pad Thai was hands down the tastiest Pad Thai I have tasted in a very long time. The noodles were cooked just right, and there was plenty of chicken to go along with my bites. But the overall taste was just simply amazing. Though it's a bit of a drive from where I live, I will definitely be coming back more often as this is flavor that is hard to find

Just ordered noodles from here, I got home and there are literally no noodles in the meal. Oh, and here is the photo of 'lo mein' - there isn't any food in this box

Great smaller business with the family running and cooking (or so it looks) food was great!! Yes as the review say the size/portion is smaller but you are paying less than 5.00 for very fresh Thai food. It tastes and is made is smaller fresh batches. My yellow curry was hot, and that's okay with me:) it was great! The country pad Thai was great too!! We ordered the fried banana and mango sticky rice.. I'm a sucker for Thai dessert.. they were great as well. For the price and taste totally worth it. They even stayed open a little later for my "almost" closing order. Thanks :)

There's about seven tables in this place. It's not big at all. It's a hole in the wall. Talk about a small place. The divider between the kitchen and the dining area was the back of the refrigerator. I had high hopes since it's so highly rated on yelp. We ordered several dishes. Most of them are in the $7-$8. Amongst all the dishes the two dishes that I think is passable was the fried chicken and the worst looking Padthai I've ever seen. It was presented in such a way that it was just not edible looking. The Sprouts came with the roots still attached to it. I've never been served one that way. It's unacceptable to me. Although we agree that the Padthai was very tasty. I don't mind the decor or the hole in the wall description but that Sprouts was just not good.

We loved that everytime we ordered rice, it would come out in a different shape from a flower to Snorlax to a bear. It was a fun what will we get next. The food was delicious. When the curry came out, I was skeptical because the portion was so small but when you eat it with rice, it's a nice combination and you'll get full. The curry is super flavorful. The pad Thai was good but I think I'll opt for the regular pad Thai instead next time. The appetizers were a nice sampler of everything but the chicken satay. We did order the chicken satay and the peanut sauce was so good with it. The larb salad was also super flavorful. The sticky rice mango dessert was also a nice way to end the meal. It's small but the sticky rice was like maybe sweet pea protein or butterfly pea (something that makes it blue). And the Thai iced tea with lime was super refreshing on a summer evening. I liked the decor. Staff is super friendly. From credentials, the chef graduated from a top culinary school in Thailand. We can't wait to come back. It's also only 10 min away from Red Rocks too.

I found out about Klom…read moreKlorm from the Crazy Asians Facebook group, touting it was very authentic...so I put it in my calendar and went the next day lol The interior is nicely decorated and seating is arranged so that you have a great view of the open kitchen. I was greeted and seated immediately upon arrival, and was shocked at the breadth of the menu!!! They offer so many dishes!!! I was only able to snap a few photos of the menu, but they have a full menu online. I decided on getting 1 appetizer, 1 main dish, and 1 drink. I ended up ordering the fried tofu, pork Pad Thai, and an Iced Thai tea. Fried Tofu appetizer $10 5/5 They fry the tofu for at least 6 minutes (per the owner and chef) which gives the outside this delicious shell that makes the most mouthwatering crunch sound when you bite into it. You'd almost think it was fried chicken! It's accompanied by a sweet and sour peanut sauce that gives the tofu this combination of flavors and textures in the mouth. It's a very playful and delightful dish. Pad Thai Noodles $17 4.5/5 Very authentic, and it lets the sauce do the talking without being overly overpowering. The tamarind is forward and present, not hidden by overt sweetness. It complements the noodles well, which are a nice medium thickness, which are easy to eat without soaking up too much sauce. A *little* bit pricey for my single-person budget, but it's honestly worth the splurge every once in a while! Iced Thai Tea with milk $6 (I got this on the house when I mentioned this group!!!) 5/5 Delicious! They also offer it with a lime juice base! So make sure to specify which base you want, if they don't ask. Final Words: I'm so so happy to have an amazing Thai place in SW Denver!! The menu is extensive, so I'm going to have fun exploring all of the dishes. I loved chatting with the owners, and it's very evident they know authentic Thai cuisine. I'll definitely be adding this to my work lunch rotation!! Please go support them and keep this place busy and thriving!!! Edit to add: they're closed on Wednesdays!

He loved Asian food and had found a place in Vegas, the Lotus of Siam, and took me there. I loved it. Thai restaurants were less common in the Denver area back then but I found a place called Pad Thai with good food and went there often. My wife and I moved away from Lakewood but have recently returned and remembered Pad Thai, except now it is Bangkok Thai and we ate there last night. The food and service was excellent. I had the Green Curry with tofu and ordered it Thai Hot. It was fiery but delicious and loaded with vegetables and tofu, perhaps the best I have had since the LoS in Vegas (which, when I Googled it this morning, I learned has now received the James Beard Award). I highly recommend Bangkok Thai (but don't order the Thai Hot unless you can really tolerate the heat) and can't wait to go back. Note to "Jobillybob": Don't give up on this place. They raised their eyebrows when I ordered Thai Hot but I said "If it's too hot, it's my fault". It was not only hot enough but they brought a small bowl of chili flakes just in case I wanted to add more.

These dishes were chicken pad Thai, beef drunken noodles, pork Thai fried rice, chicken pineapple fried rice, vegetable combination stir-fry with tofu, pork pad kra pao stir-fry, chicken curry, and beef red curry. We enjoyed eating all the dishes and sampling these food items. The majority of us voted the chicken pineapple fried rice to be the best dish. To me, the pineapple and the chicken combination tasted very good together, and the fried rice itself was prepared well: flavorful and has a very good taste. The next second best was the pork kra pao stir-fry dish. Two comments on this dish: (1) "it was a good Thai piece of flavor" and (2) the bamboo shoots were really pronounced. Other comments on other dishes include (1) drunken noodle: "a classic dish that they nailed. Taste like what drunken noodles should taste like." and "the flavor was well balanced.", (2) vegetable combination stir-fry with tofu: "really loved the flavor of the eggplant in this dish.", and (3) green curry: "has just the right amount of heat and curry itself had a bright color." Because of the large group, the group decided to split into two separate smaller tables. This way we could talk and have meaningful conversations. It was a lively outing with folks walking up to get seconds. If you are in the neighborhood and want to try some Thai food, stop here and try my two favorite dishes: the chicken pineapple fry rice and the vegetable combination stir-fry with tofu. Also get their Thai iced tea. It was perfectly mixed so that you can taste the tea flavor and not drinking a cup full of sugar.
