For all you Star Wars fans, this is a must see! It is a well designed show which highlights many different movies throughout the experience. There's an additional experience you can have called the "Dessert Experience". I believe it's about $65/pp which includes an endless amount of desserts and some salty bites. WHOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAA! I'm so glad Disney bought Star Wars because they are truly the only company that will back up the brand with the $$ to put on a proper representation for the quality of Disney itself and STAR WARS. Unfortunately I lost my really good spot in the middle front standing area because my little girl had to use the restroom right as the show was about to start. We made it there and back as quickly as possible however we couldn't get back in a watched from the side. I'm actually not saying this because it's a bad thing. In all actuality it was a FANTASTIC place to see the fireworks. Yes, some of the display was not in clear view on the other side but they did a very good job making sure the most important imagery projected onto the chinese theater was also available for viewing on giant side screens flanking the stage, plus they had fireworks specifically over each of the sides in addition to the middle and I think that's so cool cause virtually everyone got a great show now matter where they were. This is easily one of the BEST fireworks shows that I've ever seen and only Disney can pull this off. The show begins at 9:45pm and it's approximately 15 minutes long. It's a must see when you're visiting Walt Disney World! It's not the fireworks that are impressive; but the coordination between the videos, lasers, audio, music, plus the sound & special effects are all awesome! If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll absolutely love this show! If you came just for the fireworks show, you'll just like the special effects. There's really not that much fireworks, but it's mostly the effects & Star Wars videos that will make it enjoyable. This is a show that I highly recommend waiting early for! It's best to find a spot in the center and closer to the front. Since there are a lot of videos, it's easier to see them the closer you are. If you have a small group of people, I would recommend getting there at least 30 minutes or earlier to find a spot. If you have a large group, I highly recommend finding a spot more than an hour early before the show. It's worth it! FYI, they do have Dessert Party that you can pay extra for. Disney has a reputation for doing Fireworks right. There's a reason for this. Wishes at Walt Disney world has stood out for a long time as one of the best shows around. Now, in comparison to this.. it's well, it's been totally overshadowed. Star Wars:A Galactic Spectacular is in one words AWESOMTACULAR. I had to make that word up because there really isn't a word in my current vernacular that fits. At 9:15 they begin to make announcements that it will being, and every 5 minutes until the show time.. When the area goes dark.. you know you're ready for something amazing. Between the visuals that they use, the firing of lasers, the music and voice overs and the Pyrotechnics, this is by far something only Disney could pull off. You are put in the thick of a battle between the Empire and the rebels. You feel the darkside trying to claim you. And lets talk about that bass. You will feel it in your bones. There is video of the show in line, and sure it does the show well, but it does not do the show justice. It is something you MUST experience in person. Why? Because it leaves out the FEELING. And this show is rife with emotion and presence. Go see it, I promise you will not regret it. read more

My brother is a big Star Wars fan, so while planning our vacay, knew we had to do this for him and are we glad we did! Wonderful appetizers and desserts! There was hummus, prosciutto, cheeses, etc....Fun desserts - a freeze-dried Nutella...yum!! My niece has a tree nut allergy and the chef came out to talk to us about what she can and can't have. Super friendly and chatted it up with my niece who is 5 and had a million questions about everything except the food. LOL The show itself was spectacular! Did get a lil' teary when Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) first popped up on the "screen". But the flashback scenes, etc...were awesome!!! read more

If you're a Star Wars fan, this is surely a must see show at the very end of your visit in Hollywood Studios. Wow, one of the best fireworks shows throughout the whole park honestly. If you're not a Star Wars fan, Fantasmic might be the better option though. It has everything you want in a Star Wars firework show. Lasers, fire, fireworks. It's amazing! If you arrive 10-15 minutes early, you should be able to find a good spot. Fantasmic was going on at the same time, so a majority of the people were in line for that. The show itself lasted about 15~ minutes. It's projected onto the Chinese theater at Hollywood Studios, so you can see it from very way back. Do I like Star Wars- not really. Did I want to go on the star cruiser- nope. Did I buy costumes- absolutely NOT. My husband who is a fan saw this package and wanted to go. I was in for going to Disney, but a Star Wars themed hotel..... what was I getting myself into? I was hesitant... the price alone was enough to snub the entire experience. Well, I just returned back from the 2 night Immersive trip and all I have to say is......Mindblowing!!! I was wrong on all levels! This trip was one of my Favorites with my 2 teenage boys (17 and 15). My 17 year old was like me, not really wanted to go and do a Star Wars themed vacation. He also loved it! The details alone were AMAZING! We were never bored! The food was delicious and interesting! The staff was hands on the BEST! I do not want to write about anything giving specifics just in case you are planning to go! The price is high BUT I get it! The entertainment and food alone is first class! I know that if you are not a Star Wars fan, you will still have a blast! What I can say- you MUST get involved! Step out of the box and talk to people. There are only around 300 people at a time so it is a more personalised trip. Wear a costume! I totally regret not bringing more Star Wars like garb. You do not need a costume per say, but try to bring clothes that look like Star Wars. It is COLD in the hotel. I would bring a wrap or even wear pants. We met Chewie, and BB8 for photo ops and the whole family LOVED it. Event walking around there is so much to look at. My daughter loves Asoka so finding her lightsaber in the line up for Chewie was a highlight for her. The Storm Toopers walking around are so in character any interaction with them is fantastic. The could see my daughter was a bit frietened of them and one said 'we are here for your protection citizen' and we all cracked up. It was so fun. We missed the fire works at night but seen Captain Phasma and her troopers marching and they did a show which was so incredible we are still talking to people about it. read more

You feel like you're in the movies, I kid you not. This is a projection and fireworks show projected on the Chinese theater at Hollywood Studios, and is probably one of the best night shows at Disney currently. The show itself its clips from the various Star Wars movies synced with music, fireworks, and lasers. The most amazing part, though, is the how the music and sound F/X line up with the show to make it feel like a Star Destroyer is flying over you and onto the projection on the Chinese theater. I literally looked behind me to check and see if something was coming. IT FELT THAT REAL! As with any show at Disney, you might want to show up a bit early to stake out a spot in front of the theater. WOW! This is not called a "spectacular" for nothing. This is a firework show that only Disney can put on. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is a firework show like no other at Disney (or anywhere else for that matter). It has so many different elements to it and that's what makes it impressive. The coordination between the music, the lights, the lasers, the projections, the fire walls, the smoke, the fireworks, and everything else that it takes to put on the show is breathtaking. I was so amazed by this show--and I'm not even a Star Wars fan. Another really cool thing about this show is the fact that it's a nice length, it runs for about 15 minutes. Without hesitation this is a show that you have to see whenever you visit Hollywood Studios. (Especially with all the changes happening to the park right now... :/) What you're gonna want to do is make sure that you get a really good spot! Since there's a lot of visual projections, you may want to sit more towards the middle so you can see everything, so try arriving a little earlier. But honestly, even if you're waiting for 30 minutes, it's totally worth it. Do it! read more

After finally getting our Disney passes back one of the first things we wanted to check out was this new show. And... it DID NOT disappoint. So much so that it had my husband in tears. (the good kind) First of all, as always with any type of Disney parade or show make sure you start getting your seat early if you want the best views. With these projection shows it actually matters because you want to see everything. Otherwise if it was just fireworks it wouldn't matter as much. However, we had a 1 year old with us so we didn't want to be sitting around doing nothing for an hour so we waited and didn't get the BEST view but enough where we were still pretty much blown away. The music is SO PERFECT with this show and the way they have the surround set up in the park it feels like you are actually in the films. Especially when you have the starship flying over you. Everyone was looking behind them thinking "wait. what?" :) That was my favorite part! Great job, Disney!!!! read more

THIS IS MY FAVORITE NIGHT TIME SHOW THAT DISNEY HAS NOW... Some will not agree because it is not a big fireworks show, it has some but it is so much more than that! You have to see it if you are a Star Wars fan... I suggest standing toward the back of the court yard area and center... you DO NOT need to be close up to get a good view of this show. First word is wow. Been a Star Wars fan since 77. Son a huge fan also. Daughter loves the story and characters. Wife also a fan. We all found this very enjoyable. The whole way it was presented was about perfect. Long enough to really enjoy, but not so long it is uncomfortable since you stand and watch in a very large crowd. This experience was AMAZING! I always look for something different to do with my family whenever we go to Disney, and since it paired a "Dessert Experience" with private, priority seating for the light show and fireworks display, I figured we couldn't go wrong. The Dessert Experience featured an open bar (we each tried a different Star Wards-themed beverage which were fun, and tasty), an appetizer table with cured meats, seasoned cheeses, veggies, hummus and pita slices, and then there were the desserts. They were not only visually amazing, but sooooooo good. Assorted bite-sized cheesecakes, unique cupcake flavors, dark chocolate mousse bomb, an "everything but the kitchen sink" bread pudding, ice cream sundae bar, cookies, mixed fruit, and specially concocted hazelnut ice cream, plus several other colorful, bite-sized desserts. In addition, you get to see the characters in the Launch Bay, and Storm Troopers "patrol" the party. Then we were escorted to a private viewing area for the light & fireworks show which were both amazing. I highly recommend taking advantage of this experience if you get the chance~and bring zip-locks to take home snacks! read more
