I can get my dessert fix for a fraction of the cost. I love me some expensive french pastries, but is there anything better than HOT, SWEET, BUTTERY BREAD? Especially bread that costs 40 cents a piece? NO I DON'T THINK SO. This bakery is really a hole in the wall, in a run down strip mall, so don't expect to pull in to anything special. With all the hype about these señioritas, I had to give them a try. Yelpers expressing their addiction didn't help the resistance. Nothing beats fresh baked bread straight out of the oven. Quick pickups aren't a problem due to its simple business format. I've requested for 30 and these señioritas were hot and ready with little to no wait time. It's bread crack. The Senorita bread reheated well the next day in the microwave. The Red Bean Hopia was the best I've ever had- sweet red beans surrounded by a flaky pastry dough. There Starbread is so dry they're known for the sugary buttery of the bread and it's not at all I'd recommend the one in Richmond or Concord

The price is reasonable for their fresh, delicious, and diabetic senorita breads. The outside looks a bit run down and the inside isn't too fancy, but that's expected of Vallejo. The only downside to this place is that they do not accept credit/debit card transactions, but that is probably due to low profit margins. read more

Even though this place is not in the best of neighborhoods, the bakery itself is small and clean and brightly lit. When I got there there were three people ahead of me so I was able to look around. Their signature breads are pretty buttery and tasty but they made me break out. Yep ZITS. That means there is something in there that my body says no too. I tried their regular star senorita bread and their filled breads. The filled breads were okay cherry and cheese. I also took home some of the bread rolls which were light and good for a side with mashed potatoes and gravy. What is up with the t shirts hanging in there though? One tip--do not come here late or you risk losing out when they run out of bread to make anything with! As of this post, pricing is at 5 pieces for $2, which is amazing considering that means 50 pieces for $20! Another hidden treasure they sell here is their ube cake which tastes like brownies! Their cream cheese Senoritas and Nutella Senoritas are good too (originals are better). I've also had their ham & cheese rolls which are tasty. Even their French macarons (3 for $5) are pretty good too! Staff is really friendly and helpful. Their stuff is always a hit for any function. OMG.. senorita bread.... they're just yummy delicious morsels that you can eat an entire box of.. and well, they come in different size boxes too.. lol. The simplicity of ingredients, made with such care, love and precision to have me go a little out of the way to come here each time I pass Vallejo... is totally worth it. Of course they are best when they are fresh and warm, but I've had a few warmed up in a toaster oven the next day and it was still really good. I love the senorita bread, and although they are known to come out piping hot from the oven, as they usually are, I'm guessing today's batch was not as sweet as usual. I do miss the abundant flavors of sugar and butter in my senorita bread. Nonetheless, I will return because I'm sure next time around the senorita bread will be just as good as I remember. However, if you happen to walk into this quaint little bakery and look for something new and just as yummy to try in addition to the senorita bread, may I suggest: the bitso-bitso! Nutella Bitso Bitso I might add. PROs: each location has different specialty items they offer in addition to the senorita bread. Must Try- Nutella Bitso-Bitso!! It's a Filipino sugared donut with a nice spread of Nutella inside. Definitely a must try. I saw the reviews and had to try this place out. It did not disappoint. I got some senorita bread and a dozen donuts. The warm senorita bread was great with my coffee and I wished I had ordered a few more. The donuts were very light and fluffy. The glazed donuts were only glazed on top and while my daughter commented that she wished it was fully glazed I felt like it was the perfect ratio. I had heard about this Starbread place several times from my husband who couldn't stop raving about their Senorita bread. So, while visiting family friends with my dad, somehow this place came up in topic. I told our friends about how I keep hearing about it but had yet to try some, which immediately sparked them to take me to get some. Boy was I glad when I did. Walking into that bakery & smelling the divine bread, it was awesome!! Made me want to just stay & work amongst the yummy goodness. We decided on getting a few boxes containing 25 pieces of this amazingly good bread that is just so simple! You can opt to get more or less pieces, depending on how strong your urge is, but they really are small. On top of it's amazing flavor, they give it to you FRESH & warm! It was so fresh, I couldn't wait to take it back for a taste & opened the box in the car to grab one....SOOO, so good!! The buttery, sugary goodness is what makes this bread so addicting!! If you haven't had a chance yet, you've gotta try it. You won't be disappointed. I let my husband know I was finally getting the chance to try this Senorita bread & he happily informed me there was a new store that opened in our (Natomas) area in Sacramento!
