It's our weekly girls out day and we stopped in for a brownie for my daughter she loves them here because they are not overly sweet. I ordered a venti caramel macchiato made with almond milk and sugar free vanilla syrup! Yummy ! Everybody that works here is really really nice and the atmosphere is great they have good music playing and you can have a conversation without the entire place hearing you. This is my favorite Starbucks of all the Starbucks locations on the face of the earth. It is so well managed and all the baristas are beyond awesome. Ana, Jon, Tony, John, and everyone else are why my wife and I go to the Starbucks in Addison. My wife and I usually always get the some thing, and it is so refreshing to be asked, "the usual?" This Starbucks is your average every day Starbucks. I went in with my best friend to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte and a sugar cookie. I love the frosted sugar cookies - I am eagerly anticipating the 2018 Snowman sugar cookie. It's a large location with lots of seating. The staff is nice. Honestly, it's not bad, it's not great - it's average. I will definitely go back. They have a parking lot and a drive through. The service is fast and the restaurant is clean. It's right across from a movie theatre and in a strip mall with a lot of restaurants. It's easy to get to, right off of lake st. In addison. I often get their seasonal goodies which are well worth the calories. I'm looking forward to peppermint mocha season. Just a few months away. read more

Lived here during finals week. Open early and close later than the local library. Free Wifi. They lost one star for a few reasons. First the temperature was freezing. It wasn't extremely hot outside so it shouldn't have been so cold inside. I also hate the tables that have the charger spots. It's not convenient for all devices. I use Apple products and I still needed a plug, but they're hard to find. Thankfully I got lucky and the table next to a wall plug was available. Another con-only one bathroom in the whole place. I didn't feel unwelcome here. I was there to study and didn't fee forced to buy anything either. I am a gold member so I did get free refills on my iced tea while I was there. One of the best reasons to stay a while at Starbucks for Gold Members. They do get busy. People are there for various reasons-meetings, interviews, studying, group projects, family gatherings, etc. thankfully with headphones it's easy to tune it all out. The background music is also nice, not too loud and fits with the area ranging from today's hits to Latin. I'll be back. I'm still in school so this may be my new go to spot. Holy crap I love this Starbucks and Julie. We were out of our normal area and pulled up to the closest Starbucks and went inside. I ordered a fall drink that I have tried once before at a different location that I had a bad experience with. I really wanted to try it again bc it's something I think I would like if done right. Julie helped me with the order and when I explained what happened the last time I ordered and how that girl messed it all up, Julie told me how she would do my order the way I wanted it and she comped this drink for me. Totally unexpected but appreciated. Plus this drink was great! Exactly what I hoped for, especially with this weather. Thanks for the help! Let's see... they complimented my hair and it seemed totes genuine, they were the smiliest bunch of baristas outside of a Caribou Coffee (sowwies, but I kind of favor the 'Bou), there was a mistake order so they only charged me for a Grande but gave me Venti chai tea latte with soy, and they didn't seem even the slightest put out when my dumb azz was in la-la land and didn't pull up anywhere near the drive-through window so as to make them hurl half their body out the service window to hand over my order. The staff is friendly, especially the helpful young man, John, the coffee is right on and the selection of "stuff" is stupendous, from mugs to chocolates, they have lots of SB paraphernalia. It's a welcome oasis on the long Lake Street trek. FYI - they have outdoor seating in the summer time. Yea, it faces the parking lot/street but it's still outdoors and I like that. read more

Always here since I go to school close by. I ordered a coffee and after I finished my coffee, I asked if I can get a refill of an iced tea. The girl who works there told me I can only get a refill of my original order.... but the Starbucks website says differently. Maybe get a clarification from Starbucks themselves or ask if you don't know the answer? I would go back and show them this but I don't want to be that person. My husband had a tall pumpkin cream cold brew that had cream, but no sweetness and and barely any pumpkin flavor. When I tried to call the store, no one is answering the phone. I will be frequenting the Starbucks on Irving Park instead. They always deliver drinks properly made. If you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to them all. I think that's what the folks behind SBUX would like you to say. Not so true. This is the only location where I order my coffee extra hot. Before I started doing that, it was always hit or miss temperature-wise. Sometimes hot, sometimes warm. This location is also very small, so I always skip this place if friends and I want to hang out and chat. A big plus is that this location has a drive-thru. Can't beat drive-thru especially when you don't have much time. Just be careful with the parking area traffic. Between SBUX and the bank next door, eye doctor and other little business, the parking lot gets very busy so maneuvering around can be a little hazardous. read more

Having grown up in Addison, it's strange seeing a Starbucks where there used to be a corn field. The location is a bit cramped and for people who aren't from the area it's like rocket science trying to figure out how to get there. You have to navigate a maze of parking lots and driveways and since the driveways go behind the shopping area, you can't really see which building is Starbucks unless you observe the line of cars at the drive thru. I can't fault them, because it's not their fault the design of the shopping center is messed up. I love Starbucks espresso. Just like all Starbucks locations they have a good selection of drinks. I always get a skinny latte (sugar free, fat free). Their baked goods aren't that great, but they're not terrible either. I would only suggest them if you're that hungry. I love the breakfast sandwiches, though. I never have problems when I come to this location. It's almost never too hectic. The seating area is pretty spacious but I'm always able to find a seat. +1 for the drive thru. read more

It's a nicer, newer Starbucks, with friendly employees, but lately it seems to be a magnet for middle-aged and elderly eastern European men. I'm sure they are not bad guys, but sometimes they seem to congregate here in droves, and in nice weather sometimes take over most of the outdoor seating and smoke just a few feet from the entrance. Yuck. If that is not your scene, I would recommend sticking to the drive-thru. read more
