But my favorite roasted coffee beans actually come from this cute little roasterie in Albuquerque! I've been buying from Moon's for years, and during a trip for the Balloon Fiesta in 2019, my son and I had the pleasure of meeting Joy and Jori in person. They were so kind and welcoming, and it made us appreciate their work even more. In my opinion, their roasting is spot-on--rich, flavorful, and always balanced. Every blend I've tried has been incredible. Having a burr grinder to grind these is key! My son's more of a tea guy, and he was excited to pick up some of their loose leaf selections too. The donuts are consistently good; dare I say, the best in the city. The staff is warm and friendly, greeting you when you enter and again when you leave; with smiles even bigger than their donuts! Their cold brew is flavorful, though I'd love to see them use a lighter roast to cut some of the smokier notes--but that's more personal preference than criticism.
