My review is spread out over 2 visits! It's Starbucks! What else other than coffee could you be looking for? How about amazing customer service?? Well, then you've come to the right Starbucks! You can also get breakfast items, snacks, merchandise like coffee cups, a place to quietly sit and get some work done. The temperature in Starbucks always seems to be perfect with big open windows and casual seating. Normally, I make my expresso at home (using the beans, I buy here at this Starbucks), but I wanted an expert to make my drink today. Plus, I was in the mood for something I do not have at home. At the register, I was greeted by smiling faces! She even asked me how my day was going. I loved how genuine she was! Her name tag said Angelina! I automatically had a soft spot for her since she has the same name as my daughter. I ordered a Venti Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Expresso. Then, since I am inspired these days, I went ahead with a protein box. I also enjoy their fruit & cheese box (I think it's my fave). The flavors of the cheese with the fruits combined are so yummy! I used the app on my phone to pay (and I also earn rewards points for using my app). Sometimes, there are rewards for points available by completing tasks on the app! Within moments, my drink was ready. Another reason I like coming to this location is because of the consistency of the taste of my drinks. It is always good here!!!! It's always super clean, too! Today, a young man helped me and he was very cheery. Smiley and such a polite personality. I ordered my client a vanilla latte with an extra pump of the vanilla and a cheese Danish. She loves those. When I brought my client her coffee and snack, she was sooooo happy!! She said he drink was perfectly delicious and so was her cheese Danish. I stop at this Starbucks location on Lincoln in Auburn at least once or twice a day and buy a Trente size tropical butterfly refresher. I love the Boba so I pay for 10 additional scoops which ends up making the drink $22. Other locations that make the same drink for me, always give me my Trente with an additional cup with the overflow of the drink due to the amount of Boba I order. There is not enough room in the cup for all of the juice because the Boba takes up too much space. When I asked the lady at the window, why I never receive an additional cup with the overflow Juice she told me she tells the barista to throw out the overflow. After I drove off, I realized how wrong that was that I was paying $22 to have my drink thrown out. I called and spoke directly with the manager of the location who was extremely rude and didn't even offer me any type of repayment on all of the drinks that they had previously thrown away moving forward I will not be going to this location. In addition both the manager and employee were extremely rude. read more

Drinks are fine, (although unreasonably expensive). Employees apparently have not had enough training in taking orders and serving customers in a friendly, courteous manner. Sorry for the inconvenience. Won't be back! read more

We went through drive thru for coffee. Service was fast but I was dissatisfied in the quality of the drink. They added so much foam in the grande drink. Already we pay so much for coffee and getting less coffee is a bummer on a cold and windy day. read more

I ordered an almond milk latte with pumpkin spice topping. I picked up my latte and when I took a drink after I left noticed there was no topping. I ordered through the app so my coffee was ready when I walked in. No one greeted me or said anything at all to me. I went over to the pick area and got coffee. The inside was fairly clean. I noticed they did have storage boxes in the dining area. Perhaps they were getting ready to stock shelves with product. All in all the beverage was okay and I should know to double check my order before I leave a store. read more

7/17/2022 Needed a little lick me up caffeine, and noticed this location had a drive thru.. Four cars in front of me, and the line was moving fairly quick. Vanilla latte half sweet with almond milk was as requested.. also the breakfast sandwiches, but I didn't get a chance to eat. Glad they have a drive thru.. read more

I know it's Starbucks and they are absolutely everywhere, but this store is consistent. The lobby is clean with comfortable seating. I appreciate the way they keep their selection of food stocked up. While there are absolutely better places to get a cup of gourmet coffee, Starbucks is still good on the go. The employees who work the drive up window are friendly and informative about their product, which is a nice change from some customer service in other places. When I'm not on the go I support other small business, but there's a time and place for Starbucks so I'm thankful for one that's well run. read more

When a drink is ordered 1 way and they make it wrong. You would think they would make a new drink, BUT THEY DO NOT..... asked for no whip cream an again they put whip cream and then tried to cover it up with caramel........ you pay 30$ for drinks here just for them to give you a wrong drink and then take it back SCRAPE WHIP CREAM and then hand it back. after eating in Reno, I thought we'd make it back to Sacramento without stopping, but the bladder had other plans .... not mine mind you! So, its off the 80 freeway to Starbucks. Good freeway exit and back on. I'm here so might as well get a black coffee and then off we go. Restrooms are always nice and clean here and the service just fine. The service at this Starbucks location has continued to just get worse and worse. While occasionally someone is friendly more often than not, the staff are rushed and unfriendly. It has gotten so bad that even though this is the most convenient location for me to grab my morning coffee I now go out of my way to the one on the other side of the interstate or to a walk-in location just so that I don't have to Interact with the staff here. Two stars because there are a few wonderful baristas here and I can't complain about the products. Always solid quality- just lacking on the service side. read more

The lady named Morgan knew my face if not my name. She took my order. I ordered second Adult size pineapple refresher. The other people Jason and Brooke. When sitting at a table, writing of usual Letter Of Compliment, give to them, Jason says that yes, "All your notes are very nice. They all are hanging in the back so everyone can see them." This location of Starbucks is across from Black Bear Diner. Currently this Starbucks having a toy drive. I wanted buy a toy, Morgan says walking distance is SPCA Thrift Store. It was a Tuesday. Some other people wanted to "shop" there, the sign says closed on Tuesdays. I highly recommend this Starbucks. read more

Couple weeks ago I came through the drive-through, ordered my drink and sat at the window for five minutes without being spoken to at all, so I drove away. I come back to grab a coffee and the kid at the counter, recognizes my vehicle. He decides to let me know how irritated he was that I did not wait for him, when you leave a customer waiting at the window for 5 to 6 minutes don't even let them know that the drink is coming and it's a fast food environment, it's like saying we don't care keep waiting. And then to top it off do you want to complain when I give the business another shot. This happened yesterday I will be taking my money to a different coffee shop. read more

The staff is unfriendly and not helpful. We were not greeted or talked to at all. When our order was wrong and I asked for help. They said, that's not my job, it's another person who does that, so I had to wait in line and talk to the angry check-out girl again. The place is very clean and mostly empty. She doesn't care when taking an order and messes it up constantly..... will not return I will go across the freeway to the better one. She's terrible and should not be working customer service. This is the nicest Starbucks near me and I would rate it higher except the music is deafening every time I visit. Staff could be friendlier.

The Starbucks on Lincoln Way has horrible management. The manager is always short and curt. I asked her for the corporate phone number and instead of doing so she gave me the Starbucks location where we were at phone number. I called ahead to see if they had a certain drink and was told yes, but when I got there they didn't have it. Poor management, no communication between staff, and bad service. Never going back. Convenient Starbucks location in Auburn for those making a run to/from the Sierras. Also just a short distance from a number of Auburn motels. Impressed with the service: the barista took the time to explain the differences in the brewed coffees available that day, and then rapidly filled my two drink orders. Nice vibe inside too. Decent amount of inside seating and a laid back atmosphere. Liked the design motif on the wall murals of the first Starbucks, located in Seattle's Pike Place Market (near to my heart since I was able to stop by that location a couple months back). read more

I haven't been this excited to write a review in a long time. Why you ask, why? Well I'll tell you why, her name is Kyla. Kyla doesn't know me from anyone, and truthfully, I was not stopping in to buy anything on this trip, I was in need of a bathroom. I got a nice clean bathroom and on the way out felt obligated to patronize. I ordered a tall house blend. $2.12. Problem was I had forgotten that the night before I had an on-line issue and put a hold on my card. Always an embarrassing moment to get declined, regardless of who you are, but before that can even take hold Kyla tells me, "Don't worry, it's on us today." Really? Because I know what that means, it means it's really on her, Starbucks would want the money for the coffee, that's the way it works and she's not risking her job for a stranger, so that meant she was paying out of her pocket. Touched, I accept. Now here's the thing, and I suppose I should join their rewards club if they have one, but I am a sales executive with a company credit card, I spend THOUSANDS at Starbucks annually and I don't even drink much coffee! But Kyla didn't know that, did she? She just saw a guy who needed a little kindness at the moment. I went back to my car and straightened out my bank situation, but when I went back to pay to make sure she didn't buy my coffee, she refused because she had already taken the money out of her pocket...Really? Of course this story will never hit the papers, because it's kind and decent, but as the old saying goes, the apple does not fall far from the tree...and if Kyla is representative of the people working there, then I would say I'm very happy I've been patronizing Starbucks for the ten years I've been in my position. I told her I would play it forward today, so when I go out to dinner tonight I will surely do that. Just makes me very warm to know there are kids like this out there. When Gayle and I go up to visit family in Genoa, I always drive. I love driving on an open road, staying with the traffic flow, catching the sights, and avoiding the nuts. Maybe that goes back to the days when my family would spend long days in car or pickup camper pounding out the miles. One downside is that I don't like to stop for anything except gasoline or a quick snack. And preferably on the same side of the road I'm travel ling. This Starbucks meets these standards, and attracts similar "Heading Up the Hill" clientele. And if you want to stay awhile, there's plenty of room inside, including a laptop bench, comfy chairs, and a corner fireplace. Service was fast and friendly, and we were back on the road in record time. So fast in fact, that we had to wait at the car for Gayle as she finished walking the dog. read more

If there is a Starbucks that saddens me, this one is it. There's a reason for that. For years and years, this building visible from I-80 at the Auburn Ravine Road ramps housed Izzy's Burgers. Auburn folks, folks from the greater metro area, and road trippers stopped to sample the most delicious hamburgers I've ever had at a stand alone locale, and thinking of their teriyaki type burger makes my mouth water. One time, I drove by after an absence and noticed that the building was now yet another Starbucks in Auburn. I was both pissed and curious, so I went in to get some hot tea for the road. I've then gone in other times to enjoy their nice living room atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. So are the patrons. They engage you in conversation. It must be the sunshine that drenches the Gold Country and most of California. There are other things to eat and drink in addition to coffee and tea featuring the trademark Starbucks quality. After seeing this, I've visited this location around 10 to 15 times and have become less pissed that it's no longer Izzy's Burgers. read more

It's 102 degrees in Sacramento, your car's air conditioning is on the fritz, and there's a two hour drive ahead of you before you hit the cool mountains at Tahoe. I think a nice icy Frappucino is calling my name! This is a little treat to myself - it's easy to get to off I-80 East, the gas station across the street is cheap, and you can get free Wi-fi, a bathroom break AND a cold drink to keep you wide awake. (I don't drink coffee very much, but man, a cold Frappucino on a hot summer day just hits the spot - sorry Starbucks people, I refuse to use the right slang - just give me a large mocha frappucino - what, a venti? I like this place because it's located near the highway and if you want to get some coffee into your blood and if you're falls no a sleep that is the place to refuel and get your emery go the level. This Starbucks location was perfect because it would be one stop just before driving up higher in the mountains. There were a few gas stations around and a few fast food places. The parking lot was small but plenty of spaces to park when we got there. The interior was small with a small area with tables. I ordered a tall Caramel creme brulee which was one of their holiday specials. The staff were friendly and nice. My drink was made quickly and it tasted like it did the last time I had one during the holiday season. Overall, I thought this place was good and definitely a good spot to stop at I'd you're going up any higher in the mountains. read more

This location is horrible, wrote a sign on the door saying 1:30pm they will open, we stood outside for 20 minutes waiting with 7 other people freezing outside, the employees were all inside didn't come out once to let us know that they aren't able to take us in, until 20 minutes later the employees yelled through the drive thru speaker that they wont let us in due to computers not working... we are driving a big vehicle that does not fit through the drive thru...DO BETTER FOR UR CUSTOMERS. read more

This Starbucks is particular better than most I've been to. I get coffee daily from Starbucks. Today I happen to be in the area because we were on our way to Tahoe. The location is perfect, right off the freeway. Super accessible and plenty of parking. I used the mobile app to make our order ahead of time, when we arrived 3 of 4 items were ready and waiting for us. Unfortunately they had ran out of the ham and cheese croissant. I was sad. The barista, apologized and said "you can have anything else you want. Anything at all " I understand that can't control the mobile app and it's ability to update their inventory. So the way the staff approaches the situation was very well appreciated. The bathroom is clean. The staff is also very welcoming. Lots of seating.
