We hadn't heard of Human Bean before and didn't realize it was a small drive-thru kiosk (we expected a storefront). We had specifically driven to this area to try this new (to us) coffee, so we decided to give it a go - even though we wanted to go inside somewhere to sit down, enjoy our coffee, and chat a bit. We found our beverages to be overly sweet (even worse than Starbucks, which is usually pretty sweet). It was an interesting stop, but we didn't visit any others we came across during our trip.

Overall enjoyed the coffee and the chocolate covered espresso bean that came with it. Service was pretty slow, unfortunately waited about 15 minutes for just a couple cars in front of me - but not sure how much they ordered. My cold brew took about 1 minute in total - so that was nice. Server was very friendly and apologized for the wait. Coffee was good - no ambiance to callout as was a drive through so my music was what I wanted and air conditioning was on! 4 stars for coffee taste and chocolate, 2 stars for wait (did not want to pull them down due to being busy).

The service was good, I'm not a huge fan of my drink selection. I got the smash melon it honestly taste like a Red Bull.

We used to come to this kiosk every so often, but haven't been by in a long time. We found ourselves in the area & were craving a cold treat to sip. We surveyed the menu that didn't have any visible pricing. We were able to use a Yelp check in offer to get $1 off. Our drinks were good & enjoyable. Little one liked her frozen hot chocolate. I liked how the iced mocha wasn't very sweet, and that the flavor of espresso wasn't overpowered by the chocolate. The Mexican mocha basically tasted like a mocha with cinnamon versus having a more unique flavor profile. I've always appreciated the complimentary chocolate covered espresso bean! I remember such congenial customer service in the past, but unfortunately it was just a very mundane, straightforward transaction with no added friendliness or banter as we waited.

Great coffee and exceptional staff! They really know how to turn a rough day around! So genuinely friendly and kind plus they make great drinks! Even just an Americano was great! Never bitter or stale. It always tastes fresh. I love that they have a variety of plant milks including macadamia nut milk which really makes it nice and creamy! The flavored iced coffee had on my Birthday was perfectly sweetened. Not overly syrupy or chemical aftertaste. Even a perfect drizzle! I've never had a bad experience there before and that's SO rare! Thanks to all of you at the Rocklin location! You're awesome!!!

I'm so glad I found this hidden gem. It's one of my go to coffee shops and I love how it's only a drive through. Their service is super fast and they have a wide variety of drinks on their main menu as well as seasonal drinks. I love getting their Java Chip Granita which isn't overly sweet and the Java chips blended make the texture perfect. All of their drinks come with a chocolate covered espresso bean which I always look forward to eating. It's a small drive through so the ambiance is for quick, on the go drinks! I also tried their hot Toffee Crunch latte and its so creamy and delicious.

I have to say that this was quite a treat. They were just off Highway 12 as you come in into Rio Vista and heading east I did have to cross the highway and have to wait for a few vehicles but they have a drive up window that goes on both sides, so it has a long driveway to get there and I can imagine quite the back up as the morning progresses, but it was quite delightful in my interaction with a lovely lady who took my order and she filled my ceramic coffee cup that I brought even from Starbucks, but just delightful in their pricing for their coffee and their breakfast sandwich and the 4 1/2 star rating on Google that I saw is equal Trustworthy and thus I feel they did everything right the breakfast sandwich was great not huge but just what I needed and I'm looking at a glorious sunrise so highly recommend Skip the Starbucks wait the extra 20 minutes from so soon or Fairfield it's worth it.

I stopped by The Human Bean for the first time on Sunday, 6/4/23, around 4 PM. I checked in on Yelp and got a $1 off coupon to use. That was nice. On a hot day, I settled for the Blueberry Pomegranate smoothie with whipped cream. The smoothie was refreshing, fruity, and flavorful. I was satisfied. I am excited to come back and try more drinks!

Love their cappuccino. I always go either at the Citrus Heights location or the rocklin location and the staff always has a smile on their face. It's a quick turn around and the drive thru is super easy for everyone that has kids. Coffee is not bitter or too cold like in a lot of other coffee places. Definitely my go to. P.S. my twins love their cake pops.

They didn't load it up with ice like most do. Overall, would go back but probably wouldn't crave it too often. It's more creamier than it is fruity which I don't always lean towards. Also, not as strong caffeine wise. The service itself was fine. I do agree with the other reviews about the staffs attitude. The girl who took my order was kind and made our pup cup from scratch but as a whole, it feels like they took the girls who worked at Brandy Melville and placed them here instead.

Best matcha is from Offbeat coffee in sac, but the double at Gu Ca Phe is just as good and has its own unique charm. Worth the price, worth the drive! Amazing. If I got it with normal sweetness, I don't think I'd love it as much. Long version: Cute little spot in an unsuspecting location. I don't live in Roseville but was here for an appointment so I stopped by since this place has been on my list. After trying dozens of matchas in Sacramento and surrounding areas, this one definitely rivals the top spot. It's a small location and the service was nice and pretty standard. They also have a kiosk so you can take extra time to scroll through the menu with photos. Not a fan of the AI artwork throughout if I'm being honest but I know it's a sign of the times. And I'm glad their drinks actually do look pretty damn close to the photos unlike other businesses. I got the regular size double matcha, less sweet. If it was regular sweetness, I don't think I'd like it as much. The matcha is good quality, seems like it was freshly handwhisked but not sure. It is strong without being astringent. The matcha cream is amazing and strong as well. You def have to love matcha to enjoy this one. It's going to be stronger than something you find at Starbucks of course. I love matcha to hit me in the face so this drink was perfect. They have the good ice, too ! A similar matcha I've tried, and is my personal #1 across dozens I've tried, is from Offbeat Coffee (x2 matcha). Gu Ca Phe has finessed something similar and I honestly feel like it would be worth the drive from West Sac to Roseville just for Gu Ca Phe's double matcha. I want to try their other drinks. The sugar croiffle was delicious, too!

The interior is small but clean and brightly lit. The coffee is good but weaker than I expect when getting Vietnamese coffee. It is phin dripped, and the classic flavor is there, but less creamy texture. Traditionally the brew is very strong and mixed with condensed milk only - the ice in this instance is necessary to balance the boldness. In this coffee, between the added milk and large amount of ice, it is watered down and not the full bodied experience you would expect. Overall still a good cup, and probably the best you can get in the immediate area, but not wholly satisfying if you are seeking the traditional Vietnamese coffee flavor.

I'll be honest, the Ethiopian I started with wasn't really showing how I expected. It felt a little muted and flat to me. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville.
