    espresso grounds in drink

plssss Daily Grind what is this?? these are espresso grounds in the drink I ordered. I didn't return the drink back to the drive thru because I was late to an appointment but I had a chance to take a picture later this morning. I tried to drink it but it was just gross . Gave an extra star for service because the cashier was very nice but wow this is nasty. not angry just sad lol sorry! but like you know..gross

This place is amazing !! Makes the main chain coffee places taste like bean water. It's also by a driving range so I could spend all day drinking their heavenly beverages and hitting golf balls. I am officially a hype person for this place but want to keep it small and quaint.

Here I come with a review for The Daily Grind in Newcastle. Had a very busy work schedule today meeting with customers all over Sacramento and my last stop was in Newcastle around 5pm. Since we had a pretty hot day in Sacramento I wanted to cool down a little and stopped by this small coffee drive thru shop. It is located right off the freeway in Newcastle (9430 Indian Hill Rd. & 80) As I was pulling in the drive-thru their special menu popped right up. After looking it through I decided to go with the "Blended Monkey Mocha" mocha with banana and caramel flavors. As I ordered the coffee the young lady at the window was very prompt and kind and since I was still debating what to get she gave me a few more seconds to decide. So I ordered the medium Monkey Mocha. Now here's my take on the "MM" This is packed with flavors and the banana, caramel, chocolate and coffee all jump at you as you take each and every sip. All the flavors are overpowering each other. I never had a blended coffee this tasty. Here's my final reviews. -service 5 stars -taste 5 stars -price 4-5 stars I'll be back here soon for some more yummy coffee. Also check my pics! Enjoy

GREAT PRICES & good coffee! I like to support local businesses and this place has a great location (right off the 80) if you live in auburn or newcastle

Last summer, I got hooked on their iced lattes and they always put a smiley face sticker on my iced lattes which was a cute idea.

It's a small place where you can put in your order & browse some of the non-food merchandise they sell like branded clothing & cups. You might also find food & drinks like refrigerated veggie items, kombucha, different pantry items, nuts, honey, or frozen items. They offered samples for Thai Cucumber Salad on one visit. They also have their own line of seasonings & chai concentrate (more on this later). The line moves at a decent pace. There is a lot of seating found in an adjacent room to the side of the pick up window, a patio area with umbrellas, a bench, & other nearby tables. So far we've ordered THE BEST Dirty Chai Latte (both hot & iced) that I've ever had & an iced Lavender Latte (so freshly floral) to drink. We've also had a few scones--Blueberry Meyer Lemon (my absolute FAVE scone I've ever ordered from anywhere!!), Black Bottom, Gluten Free Blueberry, & Chocolate Chip with Chai Glaze (with our lucky timing being when a freshly made batch came out). All have been SO tasty with a tender interior. Note--they update the menu board when they run out of scone flavors or they become available again. We've experienced both just straightforward customer service, & a friendly & helpful staffer who answered our questions & didn't rush us even when it was busy. Back to their Chai Concentrate--We were so enamored with their latte that we bought a bottle. Then we had to go back to buy more bottles. They'll be a pantry staple from now on. We love the stuff so much! It's always joyful to experience a place & say something is the best I've ever had! Just yum!

I happened to see their post about it being their 7th anniversary, so I decided it was a good day to go. Because it's their anniversary, purchases came with a free t-shirt. There was plenty of parking. I got there about 10 minutes before they opened and joined the line. It moved steadily once they opened. I went with one of the specials- matcha with chai cream top. I'm a fan of matcha and chai, so why not both. I also decided to get a breakfast burrito (available only on Fridays and Saturdays). They have a lot of other drink and food options. Drinks include coffee, tea, lemonade. Food includes a variety of sandwiches and scones. The scones were tempting, but I'll have to try that next time! I waited outside for my drink, where there is a good amount of seating. My drink was more chai forward, but I enjoyed it overall. I kind of got used to places giving too much ice- that was not the case here. The burrito came with sausage, eggs, tater tots, cheese, and aioli on the side. It was solid and I especially enjoyed the aioli. Overall, it was worth waking up early to come here!

Same for the cinnamon roll. Even after 6 hours and starting to dry out a little, STILL yummy. The sourdough loaf is magnificent. The quiche was for my wife. I am not really a quiche guy.....and even that was good. I am going back tomorrow.

There were plenty of goodies to choose from like pastries, croissants, artisanal breads, cake slices, brioche bread with fruit, cinnamon rolls and several other products for sale. Their cake of the week was a mocha cake! It has layers of chocolate cake with an Expresso milk soak, frosted with expresso buttercream frosting with a chocolate ganache drip, topped with cocoa nuts... WOW!!! The artisanal breads are located on the side of the shop when you walk up towards the case. They have many flavors like roasted sourdough, pumpkin seed, kalamata olive, rosemary & lemon, and more! All breads are preservative free and made with organic flour. I decided to try the flourless brownie along with a ham and cheese croissant. I wanted something sweet and something savory. The flourless brownie was definitely my favorite of the two. It was rich, chocolatey, and had that creamy texture that you want from a good flourless brownie. It was a good size, too! The ham and cheese croissant itself was good and had a nice flaky texture, but I really wish there had been more ham and cheese inside. It felt a little light on the filling, especially compared to the size of the croissant. I absolutely enjoyed the flavor and flakey texture. It was a perfect crossiant, minus the ham and cheese part. The inside is cute but be prepared to get cozy with only a small amount of space to sit. Thankfully, they also have some outdoor seating if you want to hang out and enjoy your pastry there. I didn't get a picture of indoor or outdoor seating because they were a good amount of people enjoying their dining experience. I guess they know where the goodies are! Here! Overall, I liked discovering this little spot. Between the pastries, croissants, artisanal breads, and other goodies for sale, there was plenty to look at and definitely a few things I want to come back and try... and I'd for sure grab another one of those flourless brownies!
