This is the only Starbucks that I am aware of in downtown BR. I find myself in downtown BR frequently for work and occasionally in need of coffee. Say what you will about Starbucks in general, they are convenient and have sous vide egg bites. Plus you can pay via the app. Convenience is pretty important to me especially when I am in a rush. However, this location is one without a drive-thru so be prepared to park illegally and hope you don't get a ticket. Other than the parking situation, I have always had good service and good coffee and food when I have visited. I even had a meeting in the lobby early one morning and found it to be quiet and conducive to working. If you are looking for Starbucks and are in downtown BR, this is where you need to go. read more

Do NOT get matcha from here. It was so bad I didn't even drink it. It was also super clumpy, so they definitely didn't even shake it enough. Just tasted like water and milk even though I always order it with extra matcha powder. read more

Baton Rouge has a big convenient comfortable Starbucks right in the middle of Downtown! It is located right at the corner of Third and Florida Streets, in the ground floor of the Courtyard by Marriott building. This is a great location, within a short walking distance of almost everything. This is a full sized and full service Starbucks! It has both interior and exterior seating, and even has exterior sculptures with water features on the walkway to its main entrance! Quite an impressive addition to the Third Street streetscape. Downtown needed another full service coffee shop, and visitors will no doubt be pleased to see a familiar brand. Downtown Starbucks fans will now be able to visit their favorite caffeine shop without driving quite a long way. Seems like this will be a great addition to the Downtown area. Ordering and picking up one's beverages can always be accelerated by using the Starbucks App. So if you are in a grab and go situation, consider going that route. However, I always advise taking one's time, sitting down and enjoying one's order at the comfortable seating, and watching Baton Rouge pass by while you relax. read more

I'll be honest, until very recently, I'd only been to Starbucks one time, and wasn't overly impressed with what I had, so I couldn't understand the big deal about Starbucks or any coffee shop for that matter. It's just coffee, Right?! Then....there was the cruise... I got the drink package on a Carnival cruise back in April, and I figured since the coffee shop was included in the package, why not try some new things. This was probably a bad idea in the long run, because now I crave things I didn't before. You don't crave what you don't know. lol Back to Starbucks....I got a gift card at Christmas that I still hadn't used until literally last week. There's not one close to where I live, and the only one close to me at any time is this location in downtown Baton Rouge. The one negative I will say, and why I've not gone before now, is there's not a drive thru. Well, I decided to walk over this morning because I got in a little early. I entered, and it wasn't that busy for a weekday morning, but I figure given the hurricane/tropical storm warnings and most state and city businesses being closed today, that has to be at least one reason for the lack of business. It was very clean and organized, and a decent size for this area. I was greeted almost immediately, and my order taken. I got a Mocha Frappe, which is pretty much my favorite "coffee" since the cruise. It was ready pretty quickly, and they called my name. I heard my name anyway. She just had put it on the counter and walked away. I think it would be nice for it to be handed to me, not put on the counter and walking away. If they were crazy busy, I'd understand the "no customer service", but there wasn't anyone even in line after me, or ordering at the time. That's another negative I guess. I was going to give them a five because the frappicino was excellent, but I have knocked it down to a four because of the no drive thru and "Ms. Lack of Customer Service". The coffee is great, so go in if you're in the downtown area stop in. Just don't expect Chick Fil A customer service. read more

Customer service is ok as the employees are friendly. I go here often because it's in close proximity to work since it's downtown. However, while I am excited about the location, I'm assuming because it's a new store they need time to perfect the craft. I've been charged 3 different prices for the same exact thing. Additionally I'm furious when I get to my car or job and realize my $5tea is a half cup. This has happened numerous times but it only happens at this location. Looks like a Starbucks. Smells like a Starbucks. But NOT quite a real starbucks. This is a licensed store operated by The Courtyard, so there's a few subtle differences. To the average person, they probably won't notice but to a Starbucks fanatic there is. For one, you can't mobile order at licensed stores (Yet). Also, promotions in store and via the app don't usually register- you can only pay & redeem via the app. The prices are actually fairly close to corporate stores. Service was OK, but not overly warm or hospitable. read more

I love this new Starbucks downtown! It's modern and so conveniently located downtown for travelers, worker-bees and locals. For awhile there was only a few coffee options downtown and now that Magpie is closing, this is a great addition to the area. When I visited, I got the relaxing coffee shop vibe that I always yearn for, when I visit one. Who can hang with their favorite book, friend, significant other or preferred smart device at a coffee shop all day? Me, me!! The customer service here was great and I usually order a black coffee, so I'm an easy one. This is located on 3rd Street, which is the heart of the downtown Baton Rouge area, so there are other local shops, restaurants and attractions close by. Even if you might not be flocking to downtown to specifically go to a Starbucks, it's just good to know that you have this option there in case you need a caffeine pump. #DrinkYourCoffee read more
