The coffee and service are fine, but the bathrooms are locked with a PIN ( meaning you have to tell a barista you need to pee in front of the whole coffee shop), the toilets are stained like it's been months since they were cleaned properly, and there are no paper towels to dry your hands or open the bathroom door with. This Starbucks is a good place to stop while shopping, or to sit & stay. Like pretty much every Starbucks it has great beverages served by helpful baristas. This location has a drive-through which is very popular. However, I recommend going in and enjoying the ample seating. This includes a few easy-chairs for those that seek to relax. There is plenty of table space and working space for those seeking to get things done! They have food and retail items for those who are seeking those. One thing to consider is the location of this Starbucks is on College Drive which is a very busy commercial area and thoroughfare. So, at certain times of day, this location can be very busy. The staff do all they can to get your orders out ASAP, but one must understand the reality of the situation. If you are in a big rush and the place is slammed, things might not work out. The location is a victim of its own success. However, if you have time and a little patience, you will be amazed at how fast things go. Another time-saver is ordering via the Starbucks App and picking up in store. This is not to say this is always the case. It sometimes is very quiet and empty. Depends on the time, day, and season. Wow I love love love Starbucks. I used to not. I honestly wasn't a fan, that was until I found new combinations and drinks that I love. My newest favorite is the iced white mocha with extra caramel drizzle and sweet cream foam. Talk about heaven in a coffee cup. I actually get this decaf too, which makes me even more happy that I can. I can't have much caffeine so this option makes life better. I truly recommend giving their iced coffee, iced white mocha, and Frappuccino's a try. If you like warm coffee, that's good too. I just personally prefer iced or frozen. They also have a great grilled cheese, salads, bagels, cake pops, banana bread, and brownies. So much to choose from! read more

I have never had a bad experience here and I'm here a lot. I'm usually going through drive through hence the lack of check ins but my last visit was amazing. I ordered a basic coffee and bantum bagels. One of the baristas informed me they had dropped one of them and offered a refund or another item as I had ordered the last of the bagels. I thought the gesture was nice. Open and honest! I had also been here to study during finals last semester I would recommend especially if you have a Starbucks card the perks are great. Once again, completely out of nearly everything in the bakery case including first and second choice of pastry, not to mention just plain, old, fresh coffee, AND the barrista told me she can only do grande cold brews. Really weird since I get ventis damn near daily at a store closer to home. Six employees behind the counter and only two actually working to fulfill orders or stock the place at any given time. The rest seem to be much more interested in chatting with each other and college aged patrons. After my initial visit to Starbucks I wanted to try the caramel macchiato. The problem: I don't like the bitterness of coffee. The barista recommended I try the blind roast and added extra shots of vanilla and caramel. It taste amazing! I found my new coffee drink..and I got another slice of lemon cake because why not! There are some clear pluses and minuses for this location. Starting with the minuses, the exterior of the building is remarkably dirty. In fact, its just awful seeing small bits of trash and chewed gum on the side of the building and areas that have outdoor seating. The outside really needs to be power washed. Plus, depending on where you are coming in from College Dr, the parking is a bit sketchy. I wound up parking in a business center lot directly behind the store, as well as two other patrons. Now, with that said, the plus side of this location is that the interior is roomy. In fact, quite possibly the largest interior that I've ever seen a Starbucks located in. That is a huge deal, considering the close proximity this location is to LSU's campus. The staff seems to be made up of mostly current students, which was expected. One underclassman was telling me that he had 4 exams this week and had the perfect job to stay hydrated with caffeine! Lol. This location is also quite ideal for LSU students to hang out in. Other than that, this Starbucks location is among the closest to the places around Essen Park Blvd and other hotel venues. If traveling from out of town, I would certainly recommend this place. The quality of drinks, on the other hand, relies entirely on the ability of the person making them to pay attention to quality standards, remember quality standards, and to care that they exist. The people who work at this location are nice enough, but they all seem a little unfocused. I think it is good for people to enjoy their jobs and coworkers, but every time I come in here, the baristas are usually giggling and chit-chatting behind the counter, and there are often people waiting longer than necessary for drinks. The manager needs to tighten things up a bit. Tables are often messy as well, and any hot chocolates I have gotten from here tend to be weaker than at other Starbucks. read more
