It was one of, if not the best, latte I ever had. Their coffee was delicious as well. On a whim we decided to get pancakes to share. Well, the pancakes are the size of a plate, thick yet fluffy and there are 3 of them!! I need to have them again! The restaurant is unassuming out front and very nice and cute inside. They even sell their own coffee, which I will buy when I return sooner rather than later. I wish I lived closer to Well Bean to make their lattes part of my daily routine!

Allowing room for the Cafe Commandos clicking away on their laptops and the general public the room to grab a table to eat. While I find Well Bean to be a charming little cafe/coffee shop, he on the other hand finds it overpriced and "bougie" let talk about what Well Bean is. It is a coffee house with lovely baked goods. Something found along the streets of New Hope, Frenchtown, and Lambertville... Not off of route 1 in Penndel. The vibe is cozy and the environment comfortable, but disappointment sets in if you're planning on having an actual meal here. My Turkey Pesto Panini was disappointing. While the bread, and pesto were lovely, the turkey looked and tasted like the Oscar Mayer prepackaged kind you find in the local grocery store. His breakfast sandwich dull and lackluster in every aspect but the sourdough. Again - the baking is what shines here at Well Bean. My recommendation: stop in and grab a late, smoothie or tea and a pastry to go... but if you're looking for a hearty breakfast leave the heavy lifting to The Coffee Cup Cafe around the corner or The Cracker Barrel down the street.

Other features include an area to post business cards/messages, a pay it forward board, board games and wifi. The guy working behind the counter was pleasant and knowledgeable about their coffee offering which comes from Homestead Coffee Roasters of Upper Black Eddy. Their drink menu consists of hot/cold coffee, tea, lattes, and espresso based drinks. I tried the drip coffee and would highly recommend it. It is a private label version of Homesteads Darkness - dark & bold with notes of rich, smokey chocolate. I enjoyed the dark roast, rich chocolate and its bold full body. The cortado and espresso I had were ok. I found them to be a little too bitter, but there was a strong roasted earthiness flavor that I liked. On a return trip I'll have to try their Vietnamese coffee. Food wise I've had the sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. They are simple and decent sized with simple folded egg patties and cheddar cheese on average bagels. The sausage had a little spicy kick and the bacon was pretty tasty (NOTE: they do offer pork roll as an option). I was given some hot sauce packets to go. You can also get sandwiches on a croissant. The rest of the menu is simple - toasts, sandwiches, salads, some items for the kids. They do sell their private label coffee beans in retail bags and will grind them for you. I'll stop in again if I'm in the area. The coffee and ambiance is great, the food is ok to good, service great and the idea of a non profit that supports community is commendable. Thanks!!

I loved the inside seating area and the outside seating will be nice on warmer days. There is a walking bath along the Delaware that you can visit too! I hung out inside for about 2 hours while I enjoyed coffee and an amazing grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. It was soooo good. I wish they were open a little later since they do have food items, I feel like they would still do well. And maybe live music on certain nights to make staying open worth while? Definitely coming back soon to grab a bite!

I adored their original location, as it was super quaint, quirky and cozy. When they first moved to this new spot, it felt a bit more clinical and commercial but they've done a great job of personalizing it, and I'm happy they kept a lot of the original furniture. My favorite item on their menu is the Whitefish Toast -- it comes on a fresh, thick, hearty piece of seeded toast, and the whitefish salad is dressed with pickled carrots and micro greens. It's a pretty generous portion at a reasonable price. I also love their seasonal Campfire latte, which is a rich, creamy delight with a touch of sweetness. On this visit, they had run out of the marshmallow topping but they kindly offered a partial refund to make up for it. The only downside is that this place gets packed early; by 8:45am, the only seat available was in the window. People seem to post up for the day with their laptops, and while everyone loves a good coffee shop work sesh, it seems ownership may need to institute a time limit so others can enjoy the atmosphere as well. If you're dreaming of stellar coffee, tasty locally-sourced food, and nearby access to the river, this place answers all your prayers.
