This is a new Starbucks. Roomy and a nice place to relax with your coffee of choice. My daughter and I sat outside in their nice patio. This allowed my grandson to run around as no one else was outside. My daughter enjoyed a spicy falafel sandwich along with her fancy oat milk something or other coffee. Who knew Starbucks had a spicy falafel sandwich? I didn't. I had my vanilla latte while my grandson had a cake pop. How could we not enjoy? I'm very pleased this area of Bowie, Free State Mall, got a large Starbucks with a drive through. It's about time. read more

This Starbucks store is always ready for customers. The ambiance is great and customer service is good. However, for a regular like me, the quality of coffee products vary every now and then because of the high turn over of baristas. I have to give props to this Starbucks. I ordered a drink from Sbux @ Safeway in Waugh Chapel Town Center. I ordered a cold foam cold brew. The foam is usually sweet so when you sip the drink it's not completely bitter. The drink I got (and didn't realize was wrong til after I left), had no sweetner in the foam and OMG it was like drinking black coffee. I stopped at DUNKIN, which i don't normally do, cuz i rly just wanted coffee! And i didn't want to go back to Sbux. I left the Dunkin drive thru and lo and behold - the drink was incredibly sweet (won't get into that, but they told me there was NO sweetner so i asked they add sugar, huge mistake). As my friend said "if you don't Dunkin, you shouldn't be Dunkin". Fair. At this point I have 2 coffees both are tragically nasty. As I continue up RT 3, to 301 and pass into Bowie, I made the whim decision to go to a local Sbux and ask for their pity. We do not cry over coffee y'all ! But after $7 of coffee and not having anything to drink i was frustrated. Cue the Bowie TC Sbux. I went in, and the employee was SO KIND. They assured me they would fix my drink, despite that THEY didn't mess it up. This is amazing to me, truly. The service was impeccable. Fast, friendly, efficient. I just couldn't get over their ease of doing it for me. I felt BAD asking so this rly relieved the situation so much. I was going on a long drive and rly wanted to get coffee to start the drive. I was ALSO rly impressed they have a beautiful plaque from their MD Delegation thanking the establishment for giving back to the community. Horrible experience here while on vacation. First off they do not have enough workers. Not kidding, we waited over 15 minutes for two coffees and a sandwich. They were also out of iced coffee, how does that happen in the summer? The bathroom was absolutely filthy broken soap with no soap. there was water all over the floor creating such a slip hazard. This is probably one of my favorite Starbucks so far! For one thing, this location is very spacious. A lot of other starbucks are really tight and cramped, but this one was not. This location was also pretty clean and the staff really knew their stuff! On top of all that, the hook in the ladies' restroom to hang your purse was still up! GREAT!!! The staff was very friendly and the ordering process was fast and friendly as well. I went to Starbucks because my app told me I could get 50 star points if I ordered the Mocha Frappe, so I did. It was delicious. Like all Starbucks drinks (with the exception of their Iced Tea) I had to take this drink home because has those coffee effects (and I will leave that right there). This location was very clean. Which means a lot at a place where you are consuming food and drink. I would have given this location 5 stars, however for the life of me I could not understand why there was one person making the drinks and 3 other people behind the counter talking and laughing. I felt they could have been talking, laughing and drink making, because there were several people in line waiting for their drinks. If no one is in line, then chat it up. read more

Store hours us at 5am. It is now 633am. Three youth ladies are inside talking on cell phone and do absolutely nothing. I had to call to see what time they open. The joint is great, like any other Starbucks, but where it lacks is the dining area. Nothing repulsive, you understand... it just needs some TLC. It's likely a side effect of being such a popular destination. Still, the rest of the Bux experience was as expected. The service was fast and friendly, the drinks were great, and the restroom (which I had cause to make use of) was clean, with all pieces in working order. Kind of surprising given the state of the lobby. They had our drinks to us quickly, and it was an overall great experience. I'd be happy to return the next time I am in the neighborhood. read more

10/13/2018 12:49pm saw a baby roach on the floor. There's lots of people in here today, mostly women. It's only a matter of time before someone screams from a roach crawling on them. A few days ago I saw a larger roach. Maybe they are related to each other. 10/11/2018 6:30am I saw a roach climbing all over the bench seating. I guess this is my cue to leave. To be fair, I've gone here for years and never before seen a roach. And yes, I know roaches are everywhere, even in your bed, your grandparents' hair, and your children's pocket Blonde Espresso sucks. The free samples are terrible; they look like drip coffee, are lukewarm, and taste like drip coffee with something weird, possibly floral, in it. The fresh & hot solo Blonde Espresso shot is a marked improvement over the samples, in that it look, tastes, and feels like espresso, but the flavor is still too similar to Starbucks' usual Espresso. This is becoming "my" Starbucks. The baristas are always friendly, even when I am cranky from not being properly caffeinated. They put up with my indecisiveness and help me pinpoint my drink du jour. I also love to to use mobile order at this location for early mornings. It is often very crowded before 7:00 am on weekdays. It's also a good place to work or meet small groups since they have a common table and cozy bench seating against the wall. read more

Very friendly staff. Only three stars due to the insane parking issue there and my latest visit where I ordered before leaving home. It takes me 10-15 mins to get there. My order was not ready, which was fine. What was NOT fine was that four people who came in and ordered there in the store, came and went while I was still waiting for my order. I know they had my order because the protein box WAS ready when I got there but the drinks took over a half hour more after I got there and people got their orders before me. read more

Baristas are always friendly. The bartista in the morning always remembers my name and the names of regular customers! My drinks are always done quickly when I order through the app. The only time they aren't done quickly in person is if a lot of mobile orders come in because they have to do the mobile orders first, which is my only complaint. What can I say ... it's a Starbucks. This one is slightly bigger than others I've been in. It was clean and well laid out. This Starbucks has three high top tables with chair-type bar stools. The issue with these stools are the feet rests are at a height for a child. To an adult, placing your feet on these rests places your knees at the height of the table. Very uncomfortable and letting your legs hang down is equally uncomfortable. I can't imaging the women liking to sit here as it places i=them in a compromising position... I ordered a Caramel Coconut Cluster Frap via the mobile app. Something I don't normally do but I thought I'd try it out. The Barista was friendly, talkative, and made my Frap in the Affogato style (on the house) so I could experience the espresso flavor. Very nice of her. This was an excellent visit read more

This particular Starbucks has been at the town center now for probably as many years as the mall has been open. I've been in and out of the Store hundreds of times. What's happening here more frequently, is what's happening at so many places. You walk in, look at the display case of the many pastries that are of course not made in the house and the commissary from some other facility so we workers behind the serving line have no real preparation to do but maybe slicing at the most. You choose a particular item, in my case the cinnamon swirl coffee cake this morning. The cashier momentarily has a little confusion, looks underneath the glass cabinet ask AN employee to go look in the back. And tells me we're checking to see if we have anymore. Employee probably goes and checks and tells him that they are out. I comment to the employee/cashier maybe you should take that item out of the glass shelf so as not to upset any other customers, he gives me a look that basically says I'm not concerned takes my money and give me half of my order. And of course that one slice coffee cake stays in the glass counter awaiting the next customer that wants it is not going to get it. This is absolutely dumb management. When you're team members do not have the sense enough to see the simple attention to detail, it says we don't care we know you'll be back, this is the start of what is to be the eventual downfall. There used to be a great staff folks working at the store, all of them that I remember are gone. It's unfortunate this place is a Goldmine location, and I'm sure this is why the service is what it is they know it, and have no incentive to do better. read more

Hey, it's a Starbucks. What can you say? It's pretty nice as far as Starbucks go. Decent seating inside and not always packed to the walls with people on their laptops using it as a second office. Truly, a coffee shop where you can meet someone or just chill with a beverage. The outdoor seating is nice on nice days. It actually gives you a little privacy and, believe it or not, can be quieter than indoors. I like this particular store for the quick business meeting. read more

The baristas here are really nice..well not the guy that's usually here making the drinks (has dreads). I was excited when I saw the sign advertising Mobile ordering ahead was available and when I asked him about it, he looked annoyed and told me he had 6 cups lined up. Umm. Ok. But the young lady on the register is always sweet. It's a Tuesday eve and I've seen this crew before but not sure if they are here everyday. My drink was not quite how I asked for it to be made. Considering I'm paying over $5 for a cup of coffee I certainly should have pointed it out but I didn't even want to attempt to tell the guy who made it because his attitude was already poor. Also, a few baskets where snacks like chips and popcorn should be are always either empty or almost empty. I don't get that. I do ask if everything is out and they are usually kind enough to check the back but they usually don't have anything else and very limited variety out. There are a few snack items that are go-to's for me when i go to a Starbucks and in stock across many locations but never this one. On the plus size, it's a nice sized location and except for the times I've seen the trash (at the napkins counter) spilling way over, its usually clean. read more

My drink is always made right the first time- although if you don't like your drink, they will do it over for you. I can always find parking- either in the front or the back of the location. I love this location. The staff are always very friendly. The young men are always personable and make great strides to greet and connect with the guests. One gentleman remembers me every time he sees me. No one is perfect, when a rare mistake is made, they always offer to fix it immediately. This location feels community focused, I have even seen the mayor of Bowie in this location talking to constituents.
